Straddie reminds me of Rottnest island just off Perth on the west coast. We on the west are spoilt as we get to see absolute stunning sunsets over the Indian ocean every evening if you head to the beach. Our beach sand is pure white & very fine (soft). Good to see you are now starting to settle in to our more relaxed & outdoor lifestyle (except for Sydney which is too busy)

Omg that’s on my bucket list. I would need a do a big trip at least a few weeks for WA. I heard doing it by campervan is the best way to see it?
