that 8 class race was unreal! I was the lead premier. At the point of the server death, I was about 20 seconds up the road and I was ahead of every Huntley and was fighting with the fringes of the top 10 in the Monroe class. Please run this race again it was one of the best races that I have ever taken part in
The most interesting part to me, is seeing the comparison of amateur racers side by side with professionals. It really emphasizes the different lines people choose, good and bad, as well as navigating traffic. I wish we'd gotten to see those other laps.
As one of the Prairies (purposely didn't do a qualifying lap), it was very fun! The Prairie, Premier and Huntley all ended up being very similar in terms of speed so it was effectively a 60+ car race for us. The only downside was that half of the FMJ GTE drivers would pretend slower classes weren't there, and plow them off the track. So a whitelist would certainly help. Would love to do this monthly :)
Completely forgot about and completing this game, honestly it was one of the most fun racing experiences on a game I've had looking back on your mention, having to get to certain city in the top 50
That poor Prairie who just got buzzed by 3 Banshees and a Zentorno down a straight... He was just doing his Prairie thing, living his best Prairie life, and then you get absolutely swamped. Must be terrifying.
This reminds me of us doing a multi raid in WoW back in 2008/2009 when WotLk Prepatch was released and we tried to fight the buffed city bosses. We were 540 people and after the first boss while going to the second the server crashed. But these stresstests open possibilities for future projects. Same here. Watching these is so entertaining. I would love to see GFreds and Canonballs with that many player!
it was fun racing in here! I had a farely clean first half and was struggling with being taken out a lot on the second half wich is why you caught on me a lot. Cant wait for the next time c:

The amount of people spinning themselves out on terrain/track walls is truly shocking. I expected it would happen a lot; but holy hell was it constant.

Kappa in case some of you couldn't tell this was a joke comment. On a serious note though, this is downright amazing, and regardless of the carnage I'm going to look up the full VOD on Twitch. I just hope that one day us simple folk stuck on console will be able to experience something close to this on vanilla

An open event like this would be perfect to use that one track that stitches your tracks together, could spread people out all over the map and also have like 2 classes start on each track

I'd say a big factor the GT3s were more competitive against GT2s was due to the fact it's far eaiser to get the most from the Banshee since it's straight line speed as it's strong suit, where as the zentorno needs to utilize cornering and grip as it's strong suit. This being said, with a lot of cars needing to be overtaken, easier to utilize the straightline speed as effective as possible over the cornering/grip
I... Uh... What's the name of that airport x-jump route? And how chaotic would 50 players be on it? Anyone else wondering that? Just me? Just imagine a short random race on that with that many people.
Uh, that many people on a short track like that would mean that some people would be two laps back right from the getgo thanks to their grid position...
Even with maybe dropping down the player count abit (for stability reasons) I'd love to see more multi class racing like this. Say 140 drivers split into 7 20 car groups.
2048 player cap, with how much caos this already had I can see so many traffic jams caused by even just 1000 people, can wait to see it in the future lol
I can see GTA 6 allowing for 100 player sessions (seems to be a popular number for battle royal games etc.), but I’d be surprised to see much more than that
I hope GTA 6 doesnt have any race exploits, like break boosting, curb boosting and all that. The top winners are basically people who know all the glitches the most lol.
Have to say i don't agree with the whole "i cut short a race that got to the finish to show one that didn't". I would have watched the rest of the first race, it would still have been entertaining because it's a Broughy1322 Race Of Chaos. Happy birthday BTW.

I agree with DINmiTe. The lag was probably extra bad, but I don't think it was smart letting the "Broughyplow" get a fast car for the second race. I would've just blacklisted them for the second race, but I am way too authoritarian in my thinking.
Can anyone explain the point of multi class racing on here? My guy says 'It doesn't matter where you finish overall, just where you finish in relation to your class'..so why race all at once? Why not race each class separately?
I don't understand the point of the multiclass race if it feels like a bunch of separate races going on simultaneously, as you say. It's just like a normal race but laggier at that point.
Now we have to see the carnage from the crossing jumps track with at least 50 players

I mean you are very much downplaying the skill of the top drivers. Speed tech isn't a replacement for racing lines and car control

tbf OneSync lag is unpredictable + this event was open to everyone, so we had people who were not as aware of lag bubbles
