my only guess as to why this happened, is that the Intermodel cargo was originally supposed to be connected to another train's consist, but it was accidentally left behind at the train yard, so UP chose to bring the cargo to the train it was initially supposed to be connected to and then head back.
There is a photo of a CSXT train in Buffalo, NY with 2 locomotives and only one container car in a Railpace magazine from a few years ago. I once talked to a former Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad Locomotive engineer who had to bring an urgent railcar into Buffalo very quickly and he had 2 locomotives and only one car, and he said sometimes these extremely short mainline through trains are actually called “ Peddler freights “ !
When you said…… Fastest and Shortest, you were definitely right. But even that was worth being on video. “Thank you “ for your “ short “ and long videos. God’s blessings on you.
@@WideWorldofTrains you should definitely come down into Burlington county in NJ The CSAO trains in the middle of the night are actually cool to see go by
I can almost guarantee this was a bad order car set out in route and after repairs this crew and power was set out to retrieve it, they will most likely take it to the next yard and put it on the next train coming through to that same destination. I have seen this don't many times with all types of cars.
Wow that's interesting 🤔. 2 Union Pacific Locomotives 🚂 🚂 And 1 Double Stack Chugging Down The Norfolk Southern Track.. Reminds Me Of CSX L 356 That Normally Have 1 or 5 Cars. Very Rarely See This On Norfolk Southern Track.
@@WideWorldofTrains No. But it happens. Same reasons. But with only one loco, preferably a small one, that can run as fast as needed. normally some standard yard switcher. Do not forget: The train frequency is higher, the trains are not longer than about 750 metres, the average speeds are higher, several departures per day and direction, scheduled block trains such as container trains with similar priority as passenger traffic.
Dude! Really? Think about it: You're lucky that that was the only car he had to move. What if it had been something that required a lot of time, such as a couple of hundred railroad cars?
Is this a Norfolk Southern train using Union Pacific power or is it a Union Pacific train? Union Pacific doesn't haul for JB HUNT, that's BNSF deal on the West Coast.... Perhaps Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern was making a special run for JB HUNT? Perhaps trying to take some business away from BNSF? What ever is inside of those two containers must been very special and 🔥 hot!!!! Or perhaps empty containers???😆😆😆😆
When your model train separates but you’re on the other side of the layout

Must've broken a knuckle and left the rest of the train way way back there LOL
Maybe left the other cars at the depot! LOL
The train would go into to emergency if that was the case
He had an end of train device so no
Either somebody messed up and forgot one or what ever is in there is worth a lot or who ever ordered paid a crap load to get in there ASAP
Probably a hot special load , more revenue

"Wheres the other cars???"
Whaaaaaat? I thought I had a short intermodal in Toronto but this is as short as it gets 😬. Good catch.
Thanks 😊
Yup only one car. But it was loaded with TP and bound for Poopsville. They ran out of TP 3 days ago. And the whole town's having a shit. 😲
Imagine if poopsvile was real

Odd that the train was short!
IT'S AN INTERMODAL!!!!!! 😂
“AXLE COUNT 1-6 OUT”
When you order overnight delivery...
Bro lost the other 140 cars 💀
My guess is that there was a bad order car that got fixed and picked up asap to get to the destination faster
That was a special move and either the railroad had to move it fast or someone paid for a special train.
Probably a bad order car setout on line. It was fixed and the RR picked it up for security reasons.
HEY GUYS, GUYS STOP!!! YOU LEFT ONE BEHIND!!!
When it has to be there overnight
Longest train ever 😂
Listen to that dopler effect
i think it is switching between yards!
For each locomotive one container. Lol
Where did this train come?
Only 1 explanation he must have lost 99 percent of his train 😮😮
This was a Year ago on January 1st 2023?
Love it
Imagine if theres 2 nukes in there
Probably military consignment

Two engines with only one car interesting
Photographer CANNOT keep his camera on the subject. Makes for a poor video.
