Pulau Ambon - George Tjoh de Fretes Royal Hawaiian Minstrels

This video clip is a tribute to George de Fretes and to the island of Ambon, one of the many islands of Malucu in the Indonesian Archipelago.
The song Pulau Ambon (Island of Ambon) has been composed by George de Fretes (1921 - 1981), the uncrowned king of the Hawaiian steelguitar. He used to play this song with his band The Royal Hawaiian Minstrels, who was famous for its keroncong Hawaiian style. Footages shooting on the Island of Ambon in 2006.
