Fun Fact: the Brenda Ritchie story is actually true. She busted up in Diane Alexander's apartment at 2am cause she saw Lionel Ritchie car there and there had been pretty credible talk that he was cheating with her. Beat his ass, her ass, and the cops that showed up asses' singlehandedly. She got arrested cause she didn't knock the cops out, and went back to beating Diane Alexander's ass, so they got the drop on her.

Yeah, he represents a self hating Uncle Tom. Each character represents a different kind of black guy. Do they represent all black men, absolutely not. But they do represent certain types. It's no different in any group. There's always certain types of people in any racial group.

The crazy thing is… so many of us have a “Nicole” in our lives. Of course this episode is an extreme example 😂 but a lot of us have friends or family that simply are no good for us.
They usually mean well and genuinely THINK they’re being supportive but they often are just fueling the flames of negativity and unaccountability. They tend to support you even when you’re doing wrong, they have no solutions when you inevitably have to deal with consequences, and they even will encourage you to do things that will bring you to their level.
That’s why you gotta be careful of who you have in your circle. They really can slowly steer you off a cliff… and the funny thing is, you won’t even know it until you’re falling.

This is the only episode that I find a little tone deaf. Her abuse segment is a little too realistic to be funny. It makes me feel bad for her when she ultimately blows herself up but it's played for laughs.

I remember watching this episode with my then so-called girlfriend when it came out. I remember the abuse segment. I laughed my ass off when the Asian dude said "bitch this chicken is cold" It wasn't the abuse but the fact he Asian doing that I thought was funny. And the stereotypical black bum drinking a 40 Oz with an attractive woman he doesn't appreciate. But she loves him. My girlfriend at the time got upset with me after that.
The voice of the woman on the phone is if the woman who plays Chris’s mother on *Everybody Hates Chris*. Which is what you’ll be watching after this.

Here's a fun fact about this episode Attack of the Killer Kung Fu Wolf B***h:
While Grandad is dancing after the opening credits you can can hear a crude rendition of "Temperature" by Sean Paul, with the lyrics sounding like quotes from Dr. Seuss books.
During Grandad's story about Lionel Richie and his ex-wife, a soul version of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" (infamously known on the internet as "Rickroll", the fact that the popularity of that internet meme was the same year of this episode's debut, 2007) is heard in the background during Richie's "a** whupping" scene. Interestingly enough, Brenda Harvey-Richie was voiced by Tichina Arnold who also voiced Luna's friend Nicole.
At the end of Luna's speech about the Kumite, she quotes the introduction to Ghostface Killah's "Mighty Healthy" which is also from a scene from the 1979 martial arts film Shaolin Rescuers.
Notably the episode has moments involving winks at the Mortal Kombat franchise. In two instances one involving Luna removing an opponents heart with her bare hand (like Kano does in the first game) resulting in a bloody displayed "Fatality!" During which an elderly kung fu master individual resembling Shang Tsung or Gen tells her, "FINISH HIM!" The Second being when Tom insists to enter the house after many attempts at being turned away by Luna, she quickly throws him over her shoulder with her legs (Sonya Blade's signature special ) causing the text "LUNA WINS", and "FLAWLESS VICTORY" to be shown.[citation needed]
In Luna's flashback, Bushido Brown , who first appeared in "Let's Nab Oprah", participates in the Kumite.
The scene in which Luna has a gun aimed at Robert in his bed is a possible reference of a scene between Lorraine Bracco and the late Ray Liotta(rest in power) in Goodfellas.
Luna tells Robert and the boys that she has competed in the Kumite, a reference to the 1988 film Bloodsport about the life of Frank Dux, to where Riley then compares Luna to Jean-Claude Van Damme.
At the end of the episode, when Luna blows herself up off-screen, Huey is the only one who doesn't flinch during the explosion.
Running gag: A martial arts sound effect is heard every time someone says "kumite".
While Huey and Riley are trapped in their bedroom, Luna threatens to anally r**e Grandad with a broomstick, referring to the Glen Ridge r**e.
Here's a fact about Luna:
Abilities:
Luna has proven to be a formidable martial artist and one of the strongest people in the series. She is a master of White Lotus Kung Fu, which is considered to be the deadliest style in the world. Her skill was good enough to get her an invitation to the Kumite, a tournament where the deadliest fighters in the world do battle in death matches, and she was strong enough to survive the tournament (it is implied that she has participated in multiple tournaments). Luna was easily able to defeat Huey, who is a skilled martial artist in his own right, and has implied to have killed the man who taught her White Lotus kung fu. Luna is also skilled in tracking, camouflage and eavesdropping, and has access to guns, grenades, and a combat knife, implying that she has received military training as well.
Enhanced Strength: Luna is quite strong for a woman her size. She easily overpowered Huey in their fight, and his injuries caused him to lose consciousness. When she was upset at herself for beating up Huey, Luna was able to leave noticeable damage to the wall with a single punch, and didn't even damage her hand. Luna was also able to overpower Robert with a headlock using only her right arm, knocking him unconscious, and was able throw Tom at a considerable distance using only her legs, and the impact of his fall was shown to have damaged the floor. Her most noteworthy feat is when she ripped a large man's heart out using her bare hands during the Kumite.
Enhanced Speed: Luna could move so fast, even Huey couldn't react to her speed (and Huey is fast enough to outrun airsoft bullets, run up a wall, cut up a stool with 3 strikes from his sword in under a second, and kick a ball so fast that it caught fire).
Trivia:
She is the third individual to have beaten Huey in a martial arts fight.
It is unknown of what became of her dogs and wolves after her death, but they are most likely been taken care of by Nicole.
She and Bushido Brown might know each other as he was seen participating in the Kumite. Her outfit during the Kumite is based on Kitana from Mortal Kombat.
Luna never realized that listening to Nicole's bad advice caused her more pain.
Her unstable emotional state makes her VERY open to suggestion.
The one-time Nicole gives her GOOD advice is right after Luna killed herself via grenade (when Nicole RHETORICALLY said she (Nicole) would just die after learning she was being rejected.)

I was rather baffled at first when they associate the word "kumite" with some kind of deadly underground fighting tournament. Turns out it was from that Jean-Claude van Damme movie. The first time I heard that word, it was actually a discipline in a karate contest. "Kumite" is the one where you have to fight one-on-one. The other one is "kata", where you do the stances and movements, kinda like figure skating.
