@@RollingwithTheRobsons we have 👍 hubby doing a towing course Saturday and I’ve done the important stuff for it eg buying bunting and throws 🤣 In all seriousness fir a first cheap caravan there has been a lot of extra add ons
Good video. State of that draw in the van stresses me out. Tools, controllers and cleaning products.. And you said heavy items in cupboards at first which I thought was odd but corrected yourself after 👍🏻
My caravan was sold stating it had no damp or rot and I found under glued carpets and panels it was missing parts of the floor. I have replaced 50 % of the floor now and is now solid and finished. It was easier than I thought.
Very informative video. I dont know how many times I have forgotten to lock the front locker before towing and had to stop in a lay-by because I've remembered a mile down the road!! Happy travels xx
Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. I have had the flaps on the side going as not quite whacked them hard enough. A few things each season happen. Soon be away again for more things to go wrong.
Like most things first few times are a learning experience, I've turned the water heater on before filling up the boiler and wondered why the site electric kept tripping.
Thanks for the comment. Obviously would be best if you could lock them. We use these inside some lockers to stop when opening them it all coming out. You could use something similar perhaps? amzn.to/3G8rs7V Let me know if that would work for you.
Regarding the fridge and freezer comments - if you are heading off to France as normal for summer hols remember that you are not allowed to carry meat and dairy products as well as fresh fruit and vegtables into Europe (Brexit dividend).
Picking our first caravan up Friday - this video has been fantastic for advice - Thankyou
So have you already picked up the caravan?

Thanks for the comment shame to hear about the van.
Excellent tips
Thank you very much.
Very important to check the wheel nuts as well as checking the tyres. 👍
Good point there Richard. When I was watching video back I notice that the tyres are 2016 so will need to replace them near end of year.
@@RollingwithTheRobsons another expense 😥

Great channel
Thank you David.
My tip, make sure you have turned the drain tap to the closed position before filling trying to fill the water heater
Thanks for the tip Ste that is a good one. A few times been thinking why has the water rang out already when emptied 40L tank onto pitch.
So glad i'm not the only one LOL

Yes I have put a whole aquaroll on the floor before.

Hi both of you.
Thank you for the foam answer on here we tow live.
Pete and Su.
Hi Peter. No bother we even made a video about using it on the channel. Very satisfying.

Thanks for the comment there. I didn't mention it as it was just a general rule as opposed to going abroad at present.
