Just seems like too much for a water supply, hydrant to pump that’s it, all of that seems like it takes valuable time from the point of the water supply in the first place. And it’s also too many steps to try and remember

Especially the part about putting the truck in gear and leaving it in gear and then it registers as speed on this speedometer ? What the hell

When you change from road to pump the transmission changes gear to only power the pump. Since it is disengaged from powering the wheels, the truck wont move. It shows speed on the speedometer since the drive shaft is still moving to power the pump.@@LJT7907

Pretty good video but a lot of unnecessary crap on there. Just hook the 5" from the hydrant to the intake valve and be done with it! In particular, the hydrassist valve is not needed with such a short amount of hose.

Made a simple evolution of the Engineer hand-laying a supply line to the hydrant way too complicated, with too much hardware involved. Good evolution to begin pumping from tank, then switching over to a hydrant before losing tank water, but this example is too many unnecessary steps.
