      The solution is actually to start boiling the water FIRST, and THEN put the eggs in. They don't develop any hotspots this way and peel a shitload easier. For extra points, use one of those clear kettles and some tongs.

    This video is a total game-changer for boiling eggs at home! 🥚 I’m deeply impressed by the steaming technique instead of direct boiling to prevent cracking and preserve the natural flavor. The clever vinegar and salt trick to soften the shells makes peeling incredibly fast and smooth, achieving that perfect 5-star hotel look. The egg salad recipe served with toasted bread also looks delicious and highly nutritious for breakfast. Thank you for sharing such professional and meticulous tips. Wishing your channel continuous growth and massive success! 🌟💎🔥

Once I finished eating, I made sure to wash my hands thoroughly to keep everything hygienic. I also took a refreshing sip of water to stay hydrated. Now, I’m patiently waiting to complete the video.

      I know! Right?! OMG just use store-bought eggs that are already clean. Add vinegar and salt to water, start eggs in cold water up to a rolling simmer, cover and reduce heat to lowest, 15 minutes. Place in icy-cold water 5 minutes. Gently roll egg to shatter-crack the shell and it will slip right off - no picking.

    In countries other than Japan, washing eggs at the beginning seems very tiring.😅
    However, in Japan, there are no chefs who make easy-to-peel boiled eggs using steamers, vinegar, or salt. They would use a simpler alternative method.
    The key is to quickly cool it in ice water right after taking it out of the hot water. 👍

    • @KitchenTips365
      @KitchenTips365  Month ago +3

      You make a great point 👍
      In Japan, because eggs are already very clean and safe, chefs can rely on straightforward boiling and immediate ice-water cooling without extra steps. In other countries, people sometimes add more preparation out of caution or habit. The ice-water shock really is the universal key, regardless of the method used.

      不要用大X電鍋了,他們的節約能源等級是四級,很耗電,你去看看別家是幾級,能源節約和設計結構都沒什進步,以尚朋堂為例,是3級,而且修理很貴,舉例,飯煮熟開關跳不起來是裡面一個零件燒斷了,修就要整組換,900元,我家都修好幾次了。
      你看看你家電鍋蓋上的黑色把手,煮熟時會不會燙手?你可以到市場花30元買一個不燙手的替換。

    What if I boil only 2 eggs which is often the case

    • @theotigge8336
      @theotigge8336 2 months ago +7

      Fresh eggs are notoriously difficult to peel when boiled because the albumen (egg white) strongly bonds to the inner shell membrane.
      As eggs age, they release carbon dioxide, increasing pH and making the membrane less sticky, while the contents shrink, creating a larger air cell for easier peeling.
      For easier peeling, use older eggs. Put them in water and boil them!!

    • @KitchenTips365
      @KitchenTips365  Month ago +7

      Totally fair - thanks for being honest.
      The core technique is actually quite simple: steaming the eggs instead of boiling them directly in water, followed by a cold-water bath. Steaming reduces cracking, helps the whites set more evenly, and often makes the shells easier to peel.
      Everything before that is optional preparation depending on where your eggs come from. If your eggs are already clean, you can skip straight to the steaming step.

    What I love most about this video is how it turns a simple egg into a healthier daily habit. Steaming instead of boiling makes such a difference. One small idea-maybe include a short weekly egg routine for breakfast ideas using these perfectly cooked eggs. That would be so inspiring.

    I cook eggs just 4 minutes for runny yolk and 5 minutes for full hard yolk and put them only when the water is already boiling (water level is just enough to cover the whole egg so it will not too bumpy for the egg). After the egg boiled just soaked them in cold water for half minute before peeling. No need for long time boiling and long steps.

    外鍋加一點點水
    用一個淺盤子鋪上紙,灑上水微濕即可
    把蛋放在盤子上,按下開關。
    當開關自動關閉後,等1分鐘,取出用水沖涼即可
    也不用剝殼。用刀斜切兩半,湯匙挖著吃。
    簡單優雅又方便。

      The Tatung rice cooker is truly simple, reliable, and convenient - no need to watch the heat or worry about failure, and the eggs turn out beautiful and delicious.
      Using a shallow plate with slightly damp paper, then letting it rest for a minute after the cooker switches off, is such an elegant little detail 👍
      Cutting the egg in half and scooping it out with a spoon - no peeling needed at all - sounds so comforting. Thank you for sharing such a practical, home-style technique 🙏

    我都用電鍋來煮水煮蛋, 把蛋放在蛋架上, 蛋的尖端朝下, 電鍋內放量米杯三格的水即可(水千萬不必太多), 按下電鍋加熱後, 電鍋很快就加熱完成並開關跳起來, 這時將整個電鍋電源關閉, 讓餘熱把蛋慢慢悶熟, 我每天至少都要吃上一顆水煮蛋, 已經用這種方法煮水煮蛋很多年了, 這種方法最經濟實惠又節省時間, 有興趣的人可以試試看.

      Nothing will ever change that, this is due to genetic engineering, eggs weren’t like this 40 years ago. They made the shells tougher to maximize sellable yield. There is also a sort of skin layer under the shell that they made thicker/tougher, that’s what the shells stick to making it even more difficult.

    In Japan, washing eggs at home is not recommended. This is because eggs are already washed and sanitized before they are shipped to stores.
    Washing them again can remove the natural protective layer on the shell, called the cuticle, which actually makes it easier for bacteria to enter the egg.
    In Japan, eggs can be safely eaten raw without worrying about Salmonella or other bacterial contamination.

    • @KitchenTips365
      @KitchenTips365  Month ago +2

      Exactly right 👍🥚. Japan has very strict egg safety and handling standards. Eggs are washed, sanitized, and carefully inspected before reaching stores, which is why washing them again at home isn’t recommended. The natural cuticle helps protect the egg, and removing it unnecessarily can actually increase risk 🛡️. This high level of control is also why dishes with raw eggs are common and enjoyed safely in Japan 🇯🇵🍚. Thanks for sharing this insight-please follow our channel for more food safety discussions 😊📺

      茹で上がった卵は殻ごと5℃程度に冷ました7%の食塩水に移し、1時間ほど置き、冷まします。
      その食塩水に漬けたまま再び50℃まで加熱し、30~40分その温度で保温した後、自然冷却します。

    I don't know where you buy your eggs from but my FRENZ free range eggs in New Zealand, which I buy 2x30 eggs trays at a time, are not covered in "crap" when they are collected and sold. They are never washed as this removes the natural protective layer eggs have on them.

    • @KitchenTips365
      @KitchenTips365  Month ago

      Thanks for sharing your experience from New Zealand. You’re absolutely right - high-quality free-range eggs, especially from well-managed farms, are often very clean and don’t need washing at all. In those cases, keeping the natural protective layer makes perfect sense.
      Egg handling really depends on farming standards and local regulations, which can vary a lot from country to country. What works well in New Zealand may look very different elsewhere.
