Derek Hall throughout history humans have done heinous things in the name of Christianity just like you mentioned, but not everyone is like that. I’m a Christian and I believe that we should all be treated with respect. These people on these trump rallies will overlook what the president has done and that is not a Christian thing to do. People who defend a person like that are straight up hypocrites. As a Christian we are taught kindness and humbleness. A person who believes that this country is being “invaded” by immigrants that want to overtake this country is not kind nor humble. I could go on forever on how these people fall flat from their beliefs, but I don’t have the time to write a book as big as the Bible.
@@danielc9509 Somebody sure did have that time though, and we're all paying the price for it now :) On a slightly more serious note, though, as refreshing as it is to see people connected with the ideology denouncing a lot of this behavior... you have to realize that in this case, the majority is actually in favor of Trump (and therefore, by association, what he stands for). This is not just a matter of a "few bad people" within the group of Christianity... Christians at large have widely embraced Trump simply because he's a republican and it's quite sad.

Saying that because a woman doesn't remember every detail of a sexual assault incident then that means that the rape never happened, is like telling me that I never almost drowned even though my parents, my sister and a couple of family friends can vouch my story. I don't remember my age, which beach I was at or even the day, all that I remember is the trauma. It's the exact same for the survivors.
So you are telling me that because she was drunk it wasn't rape? That is stupid and it's been a problem for a while but women don't tell someone because of peopke.like you who down play their experience. Honestly, it has nothing to do with believing her. 35 years later, there is no proof... No evidence. You can't accuse/find someone guilty over hear say, that's insane and dangerous for this country.
I do hope all this encourages victims to speak up when it happens, that way the proof will hopefully be there. Rape is a horrible crime, and anyone found guilty should have a heavy punishment. But proof and evidence is what also keeps the innocent from being wrongfully convicted.

I can't remember what I had for breakfast or who drive there, but I remember what he looked like and what the room looked like. Kavanaugh is Trumpism and Trump is a symptom of Republican attempts to try and return the patriarchal, straight white male to the top of society to dominate all others. Not all straight white males are patriarchal, and thus these men not a part of the problem. Whites make up around 67%, males make up 49% of that, and factoring in the non-patriarchal LGBTQ people and blacks and Hispanics, the patriarchal, straight white male is around 25% of society and yet holds inordinate power. The Republican Party, at the local, state and federal level, is run by the patriarchal, straight white males who are anti-LGBTQ rights, anti-gay marriage, anti-gay adoptions, believe that women are to obey men, are anti-reproductive rights, believe that only straight marriage is how things should be with men running the show - and continue to try and put their thumbs on blacks and Hispanics.

I am born and raised in Mississippi and I can attest that not all of us are as backwards thinking as these people. Unfortunately, when poverty and poor education are the norm, so is ignorance.
Jewels Star yes, we do have our problems. Every country goes through that. It wasn’t but a few years ago that Ireland had outrageously high unemployment and were in a major depression. Your economy is might have recovered but your wages have not kept up which can spell trouble in the future.
And yes, when we spend twice the amount of Ireland’s entire economy just on our military, it seems extreme. But that money provides employment for millions of Americans not just those serving in the military but in industries ranging from factories to technology to medicine. Myself included. I have spent time living in other countries and traveled to many more in my free time. All of them are unique and have great qualities. But I still wouldn’t trade living in the US for anything.

The majority of Americans don’t agree with the policies and leadership that we have now. But change is not as easy as just going to vote. Many states have voting district lines that are drawn in such a way that prevent a shift in political party affiliation. Just look up gerrymandering for examples.
