I know now why I love this instrument so much...A beautiful melody played so well in dedication to the wonderful people of Japan who handle themselves with so much courage and calmness in tragedy.
I'm SO proud that Trombone players rose up and embraced all of you that suffered so badly thru the storm; with a song for you. Our hearts are still with you all!!!
One of the most gorgeous arrangements of this I have ever heard!!! The Tenors are so mellow when they need to be, and bright and brassy when they need to! It's soooo beautiful! The bass trombones have a beautiful deep dark sound! As a bass trombonist, I know that hitting those low notes (esp pedal tones) deep mellow sound is crucial! Absolutely gorgeous! :D
Nice playing of one of my favorite pieces. At the fortissimo coda you were cranking enough air through those horns to generate electricity to the entire Mid-West for two days. Well done.
Beautiful song I had to look it up What is the song for Japan about? The "A Song for Japan" project was started by Japanese trombone players living outside Japan in collaboration with a group which has deep connections to Japan and includes Japanese members. It is in remembrance of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan on March 11, 2011
to all the bass trombones out there....i love you.

Thanks Chester!

Very sweet.
fantasistic! Bravooo!!!

Absolutely amazing. If only I could hear it from an all French Horn ensemble
If you play it again.
Just take it slowly.
Reduce the tempo a little bit.
And it will result to a emotionally piece
❤❤❤❤

Is that Brian Hecht?
Fantastic. Hi Guys, can you tell me where we can get the arrangement ?
Awesome guys. Where was this performed?
the same but at 4:07, bass trombones
Hey is that Doug Elliott in there? Not to overshadow the rest...I just use one of his mouthpieces.
It's ok. You guys will never come close to the precision of the Japan XO Trombone Quartet.
And pay a little more attention to tuning. 2 of you are off to the point of embarrassment.
