the Chatham bridge is dangerous. one time when I was in Chatham I smoked a big joint and then I decided to bike across the bridge at night time. so things are going well and then I get to the downside of going to Douglas town and started to get some momentum. so I'm going down the bridge it's going fast and then all the sudden I see this big transport truck coming so I kind of panic a little bit and then I relax and all of a sudden I feel my tires and my whole bike in midair. so the sidewalk is like really high on this bridge like probably like a foot and a half high off the road and my bike went completely off the sidewalk for like I felt like 3 seconds and then I just hit the ground boom. needless to say I never did that again
The river doesn’t get much freight any more does it. I remember when the docks in Newcastle decided not to load and so the ships stopped coming up the river.
LOVE love this video ....i was born in Chatham in 1945 at I think it was at the Hotel Dieu hospital...not sure/ but I lived there until until I was about 8 or 9 years old. .then I i moved to Baie Ste Anne where I was raised by my grandparents....I was thrilled that you filmed the old Vogue theater where I spent most of my happiest times ,I loved going there...your film brought back some great memories Thanks so very much indeed\ ....sometimes i had to sing to make enough money to go to the SATURDAY A FTERNOON matinee...I LATER BECAME A PROFESSTIONAL SINGER AND AND MUSICIAN/ ONE OF THE MOVIES I RECA LL SEEING WAS ' CALAMITY JANE ' WITH DORIS DAY....I THINK THAT WAS IN 1953. ...jJUST BEFORE I MOVED TO THE BAY

You gave a good tour. I enjoyed it.
Hello from Texas. 🤠
Loved your video. I might be moving to New Brunswick and up when I retire so I love these videos of the small towns. Beautiful.
Oh the mystical, magical Miramichi! That joke about the cemetery...my late husband used to say, "A lot of people are dying to get in there."
