I'm not Christian, but this PMV is so gorgeous! It's one of those works of art that means something different to everyone who watches it. No matter what you see replacing the characters, it's obvious that this PMV is pushing for you doing what you find is right, because what is right is what makes you happy, in the end. The things that seem like the more preferable of all the evil surrounding you may turn out to be wrong, and that will lead to nothing. In the end, you have to follow your "light" --- your passion, your morals, your joy. Absolutely gorgeous symbolism and art!!
I have chills ALL OVER. Rachel this is the type of content that the world needs to see, because the raw and honest emotion you've put into this by telling your own story is clear like a glass lagoon. I always say that a story is the language of the soul. We experience vicariously the lives of other people by hearing a good story. We cry with you, we laugh with you and in the end, people will see the light because you shine Jesus's love through your story. Thank you for being brave enough to make this, I cannot express how much I want to see this kind of christian content. I love animated bible stories, but lets be real, the people who watch those are already christians most of the time. While you didn't say directly who the characters were in the animation itself, this allows people to feel your story without bias, they will see more clearly the love of God. You haven't hidden the meanings either, this is such a bold move. I just know that Jesus is smiling in heaven, he can't wait to welcome you in. I've been struggling with staying connected to God. I let life distract me all the time, I'm always scared I won't make it to heaven. For me this video was a reminder. Well damn, have times definitely changed since then. Your style has shown much change, which shows very clearly in this PMV, an absolute banger! I may not be a Christian myself, nor am I really a religious person, but is it such a joy to see you have something to motivate you to keep on moving forward. We all have our own journeys, no matter how slow or fast we go, it’s something we’re going through. For those that are in a deep state of misery, you will make it through, just as I have as well. I kept on going thanks to my father and a new set of friends, and now this year I’m heading to trade school in an animation program. If I’m able to pick myself up like that, and Rachel was able to get motivated by believing in god, so can you my friend. This was a lot for me to say, but I just wanted to drop in and talk how much things definitely changed now. I’ve been struggling with my religion for a while. Whenever I get into it and start believing again I get immediately brought back to the dark side. Whether it’s from people around me or my own mental illnesses that are dragging me to a dark place. This video is giving me more and more reason to try. I really love it and can’t stop watching it. ❤
The spiritual battle is real! The hardest and darkest time of my life was the transition period of trying to move back to Jesus because everything around me was trying to stop me from running to the father. It took me 2 years to fully grasp the Lord and find His peace. Stay strong my friend! It's literally a battle feild out there, Find people and spend time in good community! God really does love you and I can see that He has been reaching out to you. We are saved through grace not by works! Do not fear tomorrow but focus on today! God bless you

Oh my goodness I've never been touched so deeply by an animation before. Honestly I was almost moved to tears by how incredibly you told the story of so many people's lives: living in the darkness of this fallen world and feeling alone and unseen, and unable to become anything but then finally discovering the embrace of a loving creator who brings them back from being blind, hollow and completely dead, becoming even able to empower others to see again too. And the final scene with the two representations of God and the devil and how the devil rejected recieving sight was honestly SO powerful, and the fact that the song you used was originally a dark song but you used it for light - this whole thing is honestly so inspiring and convicting and I aspire to create art for God in the same way that you have with this masterpiece. Thank you so much for spreading this message, I'm sure it will change lives, God bless you! 💛

this is SO amazing that i had to pause in the middle of the video to comment. i am also a Christian and God has helped me SO many uncountable times when ive found myself fighting in a spiritual battle. there is more going on than the eyes can see. i am going through some battles myself, with struggling at work and the loss of my dog. and i promise to everyone out there no matter what you're going through, God will receive you. I remember seeing the short Colors PMV a few years back, and it was one of the first animatics/touches of animation I’d ever seen. It still inspires me today, seeing your work and how, even thought you left and came back to this project so many times, you broke through and created this beautiful masterpiece to share with us all. Every single frame is like a beautiful speed paint within itself, being able to view your works alongside you in this your journey has truly been an incredible experience. Remember you are a wonderful person, you have inspired millions, their art and lives wouldn’t be the same if you hadn’t been here. Remember you bring to this world things no one else can.

Coming back from a church camp and seeing this was the best thing ever. I love the journey of shown finding God and allowing Him to help overcome the darkness. Allowing Him to show you the light and then striving to bring that light back to others. This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, thank you for showing us this journey ❤
Everything about this is gorgeous- the art, the storyline, the meanings. I’m only agnostic (I believe there could be a higher being, I’m just unsure), and that probably won’t ever change, but I just absolutely loved the symbolism. This is absolutely amazing. I 'm still on my walk with god but this made me tear up. I remember when i realized my action aren't just actions. They can either be the importance of someone's life or be the down fall after. reading the bible i also realized there are little hints that refer to my life that i needed to change. also the symbolism is amazing here. edit: you are the first person i've seen to actually do this and i am so HAPPY for this because it's not someone trying to force Christianity into someone's life. You state it CLEAR that you can't change anyone's mind but show your experience instead. That's what it is about. people aren't supposed to FORCE it down. they are supposed to give detail in their experience!!

I see an alarming parallel between us here. In the past week, I’ve turned 15, suffered intense emotional damage, and been banned from my favorite community for unintentionally harmful things i’ve said in the past. Time is speeding past me and i have felt so out of control. I felt like I’ve lost my entire future in the span of mere days, just when I thought I was finally getting somewhere. I’ve always had this darkness in me that drags me down and fuels my hopeless mindset. I remember manifesting this darkness into something I could see. Something I could talk to. Something I could draw to make myself feel more in control over it. But all I did was bring to illustrations how it controlled me instead. For years, that was the only thing that existed. But as I started to forgive myself to all the damage that had been done, I brought to life a manifestation of hope and light. Again, something I could see and talk to. Something I could use to motivate myself to keep moving forward. Focusing on the future instead of the past or present. I created these things to represent my internal battles with guilt and self forgiveness, as well as my balance of kindness and cruelty. I know that one day I’ll see it defeat that darkness. I know that one day I will truly forgive myself. Seeing this beautiful work of art you have created, what I would assume is representative of you having found your light, gives me hope. You have always been an inspiration to me Rachel. The first person who truly started my fire of artistic expression. I don’t think I’d be where I am now without you. Thank you, so so so so much, for being in my life. Also holy crap thank you for introducing me to this song two years ago with that first wip it is legitimately one of my favorite songs to this day.

honestly, don't know what to say but i felt like i had to leave a comment anyway. i really love how the darkness in here is represented as a monster of some kind. probably since i myself represent my traumas and whatnot as something like that. i guess it just resonated in that in a way haha. it may be different though, considering i'm not really a christian, nor have many of their beliefs

I’ve been struggling with my religion for a while. Whenever I get into it and start believing again I get immediately brought back to the dark side. Whether it’s from people around me or my own mental illnesses that are dragging me to a dark place. This video is giving me more and more reason to try. I really love it and can’t stop watching it. ❤
The spiritual battle is real! The hardest and darkest time of my life was the transition period of trying to move back to Jesus because everything around me was trying to stop me from running to the father. It took me 2 years to fully grasp the Lord and find His peace. Stay strong my friend! It's literally a battle feild out there, Find people and spend time in good community! God really does love you and I can see that He has been reaching out to you. We are saved through grace not by works! Do not fear tomorrow but focus on today! God bless you

Oh my goodness I've never been touched so deeply by an animation before. Honestly I was almost moved to tears by how incredibly you told the story of so many people's lives: living in the darkness of this fallen world and feeling alone and unseen, and unable to become anything but then finally discovering the embrace of a loving creator who brings them back from being blind, hollow and completely dead, becoming even able to empower others to see again too. And the final scene with the two representations of God and the devil and how the devil rejected recieving sight was honestly SO powerful, and the fact that the song you used was originally a dark song but you used it for light - this whole thing is honestly so inspiring and convicting and I aspire to create art for God in the same way that you have with this masterpiece. Thank you so much for spreading this message, I'm sure it will change lives, God bless you! 💛

this is SO amazing that i had to pause in the middle of the video to comment. i am also a Christian and God has helped me SO many uncountable times when ive found myself fighting in a spiritual battle. there is more going on than the eyes can see. i am going through some battles myself, with struggling at work and the loss of my dog. and i promise to everyone out there no matter what you're going through, God will receive you. He LOVES you so much.

I remember seeing the short Colors PMV a few years back, and it was one of the first animatics/touches of animation I’d ever seen. It still inspires me today, seeing your work and how, even thought you left and came back to this project so many times, you broke through and created this beautiful masterpiece to share with us all. Every single frame is like a beautiful speed paint within itself, being able to view your works alongside you in this your journey has truly been an incredible experience. Remember you are a wonderful person, you have inspired millions, their art and lives wouldn’t be the same if you hadn’t been here. Remember you bring to this world things no one else can.

Coming back from a church camp and seeing this was the best thing ever. I love the journey of shown finding God and allowing Him to help overcome the darkness. Allowing Him to show you the light and then striving to bring that light back to others. This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen, thank you for showing us this journey ❤
Everything about this is gorgeous- the art, the storyline, the meanings. I’m only agnostic (I believe there could be a higher being, I’m just unsure), and that probably won’t ever change, but I just absolutely loved the symbolism. This is absolutely amazing. I 'm still on my walk with god but this made me tear up. I remember when i realized my action aren't just actions. They can either be the importance of someone's life or be the down fall after. reading the bible i also realized there are little hints that refer to my life that i needed to change.

Religion has always been such a touchy subject for me, especially in media. I find myself drowning sometimes, but seeing stuff like this makes me feel so much better. I see an alarming parallel between us here.
In the past week, I’ve turned 15, suffered intense emotional damage, and been banned from my favorite community for unintentionally harmful things i’ve said in the past. Time is speeding past me and i have felt so out of control. I felt like I’ve lost my entire future in the span of mere days, just when I thought I was finally getting somewhere.
I’ve always had this darkness in me that drags me down and fuels my hopeless mindset.
I remember manifesting this darkness into something I could see. Something I could talk to. Something I could draw to make myself feel more in control over it. But all I did was bring to illustrations how it controlled me instead.
For years, that was the only thing that existed.
But as I started to forgive myself to all the damage that had been done, I brought to life a manifestation of hope and light. Again, something I could see and talk to. Something I could use to motivate myself to keep moving forward. Focusing on the future instead of the past or present. I created these things to represent my internal battles with guilt and self forgiveness, as well as my balance of kindness and cruelty.
I know that one day I’ll see it defeat that darkness. I know that one day I will truly forgive myself.
Seeing this beautiful work of art you have created, what I would assume is representative of you having found your light, gives me hope. You have always been an inspiration to me Rachel. The first person who truly started my fire of artistic expression. I don’t think I’d be where I am now without you.
