Understanding Weakness | Magia Record (Madoka Magica) Anime Discussion

- Magia Record, a Madoka Magica side story, with its new 2022 season 3, is a much different anime from the original series, following new characters like Iroha and Yachiyo. Adapted from a mobile game, and lacking the original staff like Gen Urobuchi, the anime takes a less dark and twisted path than the now classic Madoka Magica. The 2011 series provided an in depth look at a few stories; Sayaka's fall, Mami's pretending, Homura's reversals, Madoka's decision, and so on, to show how their flaws impacted themselves. With the newly released 2022 season 3, Magia Record does advance some of the ideas presented in it’s mother series, most notably that of overcoming weakness. This time, the take involves togetherness, and how it can not compensate for our weakness, but provide perspective and context to help us realize that it's all a matter of perspective; there is no true weakness or strength, simply what we think is so. And, without understanding each other, there is no way we can ever set limits on those near limitless bounds. Through Iroha, her developing relationships with characters like Yachiyo, Kuroe, Sana, Momoko and more, we get an idea of what holds these important friendships together- and what leads them to almost fall apart with The Wings of Magius' plan.

So did you think that thanks to Iroha showing Madokami what happen in anime, Madokami interfere Magia record to game timeline
@@charlestonho6733 IDK
YOUR NOT A IDIOT TAKE IT BACK
In the original anime, Madoka once asks her mother, Junko, about what she would wish for if she had one given to her. Junko, although unaware of what is driving Madoka's question, says something about wanting to make things that she wants happen by her own efforts. This is part of what makes Madoka's final wish so wonderful-- she wants to achieve it with her own hands.
Ah, I completely forgot about that scene! That would have been a perfect addition to the last video, adding more depth to why Madoka takes a stance of personal action, rather than wishing around the situation
As someone who's not ashamed to have gotten into the mobile game because of all the cute anime women, madoka magica was so complex and surreal, that the timeline of magia record being the odd-one-out enigma was so cool to see. Some people may say that magia record isn't as "dark" as madoka and while I say that that's true, it has a deeper meaning. Not everything is out to get you, or pessimistic in nature, things work out in their own way, like how magical girls suffering and turning into witches are vital for their universe to function. I won't go into details about Arc 2, but just know that even though the writing is messy, it gets even better when you keep this in mind.
I think as long as a story which is trying to get a point across does so in a meaningful way, it's a usually positive experience. And Magia Record did that, in a more positive spin on what the original laid out. So, I did enjoy it a lot, with that in mind
Magia Record is one of my favorite anime. Yes it had production issues, and pacing went crazy in the end. I think anime handled the ending better since it doesn't have to be a success story like the game, in which no character can die because that's how your waifus are supposed to be. Why Madokami kept this timeline as it is, is not because she wanted to preserve a world where Madoka and Homura stays together forever; that's too selfish for a selfless God. What makes this timeline unique is it gives strength to a lot of magical girls who would have died early. It gives them reason and means to come together, throw away their differences and fight till the end. The purpose is to keep the record as intact as possible, which would not have been possible if she got rid of witches. Yes there have been casualties, but no one had to go through the ill fate of turning into a witch (Rest in peace my daughter, Kuroe). If final season had atleast 1 more episode, Shaft might have been able to play the story more smoothly.
I welcome the change they made in anime. But I understand why some people won't like it. It might be confusing and underwhelming to them. But if you love the idea of Madoka Magica, you'll definitely like the concept of Magia Record.
Actually, your assumption that no one dies in magia record is false because characters do actually die in the game, or at least in arc 2 of the story
@@AA-zk2to No one dies in arc 1, though we see dead people like mel and kanae. I don't count Kuro as a character, she has no face 😶
But that's the point of game, dead characters can't have many variations, just like we have for Team Mikazuki and Holy Quintet.
That’s true but there’s also Hanna and technically Sena
I honestly didn't think about the implications of the timelines and Madoka's wish here; I just assumed it took place before all that happened. But, that does add an extra layer to this that I missed, thank you for the point!
I am always against of deviation from source material. If anyone had new ideas they can just refer source material creating a new work/title, bending it with your own ideas or plots will skewer the source materials. Fate Stay Night and Higurashi sticked extremely closely to the source material they became a hit. So did Stein's Gate... Most of the time these adaptations only mattered to fans who cared and the fanbase are publisher's main source of profit. We love the source material for how they are. Many of us just wanted to relive the source material in anime glory. Nothing new needed to be added or change. Minor deviations are fine but stray too far then be prepared for a major backlash.
TBH I like both the show and the game’s endings. I like the fact that for the game’s ending it was happy and hopeful and we could finally see Homura get a chance to breath, we see Ui reunite with Iroha, Touka, and Nemu. Yachiyo can finally be friends with Mifuyu and Momoko again, and they’re all striving to change the witch system for all Magical Girls in a way that won’t get millions of innocent people killed (at least from what I can conclude from fan translations of the second Arc 2). It feels very heartwarming to me and I glad they made that ending with Madokami coming to help them defeat Walpurgisnacht.
At 5e same time though, I love the show’s ending of showing that you can’t save everyone and that sometimes people will just die and that sometimes you will fail at things. It’s a very bittersweet ending that feels Madoka Magica-like. (similar to how Madoka gave up her life to save all magical girls from becoming witches, and Homura admitting Madoka is going to become her enemy and trapping all the girls in a labyrinth all for the sake Madoka’s safety and happiness) not to dark but always reminds you something you couldn’t win at everything.
And I like it. I like seeing characters triumph over their weakness yet at the same time I also like seeing characters losing things to get closer to their end goal. I’m honestly saddened by seeing Mifuyu, Kuroe, and Momoko die though…they were my favorites…Especially Kuroe…I really hoped Iroha would get to her in the end…but oh well, I guess similar to Sayaka in Madoka Magica she was always destined to become a witch.
It's definitely a mix of the more hopeful nature of togetherness, while maintaining the same mood of the originals ending of sacrifice. I do think it could have been done better, like Kuroe could have used much more time, and her loss could have had more time to impact Iroha, but overall I did enjoy it
@@ProfessorViral I was under the impression that the lack of information on Kuroe's character was intentional. After she dies, Iroha is tormented by her Doppel, telling her that she never knew Kuroe and, as such, wasn't capable of saving her. Iroha did her best, but she just didn't understand Kuroe enough to reach her; she didn't put in the investment necessary for it. That's why it hits so hard. The failure isn't one that happens there in that moment but rather much, much earlier, when Iroha didn't really reach out to Kuroe even back before coming to Kamihama City, and it's only at the end that Iroha realizes that her effort to understand and save Kuroe was too long overdue.
@@themesongfan452 Yeah I agree, though I wish after that shockwave that happened after Neo-Dorothy (the mesh of Alina and Embryo Eve) got tackled by Nemu and Touka’s Doppels, we could’ve seen Kuroe along with Ui, since both of them were technically dead. Sure Kuroe wasn’t as close to Iroha as Ui was but it seems Iroha did at least consider her a friend.
One thing I really liked about the Magia Record anime, was the additional meaning it gave to Madoka's sacrifice at the end of the original series. It's one thing to see Madoka go around saving random magical girls that we've never seen before, it's another to see weak magical girls struggling to survive in the Witch system and the lengths that they'll go to in their desperation.
I think this is best shown in the character of Kuroe, who had to choose between saving herself or saving a stranger. She chose to save herself and that choice haunted her for the rest of her life. The competition for grief seeds was what caused Sayaka and Kyouko to come to blows and it's why Magius created their grief seed farm. The added context of Magia Record helps show why Madoka's Wraith system was superior to the Incubators Witch system.
I like to think Record exists as the final timeline for Homura's innocence. The one that fallows is when she promises to stop kuybey from tricking Madoka and thus resulting in her having to shoot Madoka before she can turn witch.
I think one of my favorite horror anime antagonist's, Naho Sainoke, put this best. "Happiness and Unhappiness are linked. Whenever one attempts to gain good fortune with little effort, there's always a risk."
Personally, I didn't mind seeing the holy quintet in this because it's still the same problem but taken in a different direction. Its effectivly showing why madoka's sacrifice was crucial and what homura did in rebellion is horrible and selfish.
As one of the like...5? Magia Record S3 Apologists, I'm glad you brought up the frame work of "shared weakness allows empathy far more than an unbreakable front of strength". There's a lot also that just comes from the [emotional] strength of understanding and being just able to relate and help those who have become emotionally vulnerable and I think, at least more so in S2, that that was one of Magia Records own better focus (both in pacing character stories but also in being able to play up more in how much the growing found family of girls helped each other both understand, and help each other through their own despair.
Actually that part of girl-to-girl emotional support is one of the major prides of the Magical Girl genre and I think it's very underrated but even more so that when it's tested through a world system as cruel as the Urobutcher Kyubey system : [Magical Girl Soulgem -> Witch Grief Seed] that that theme STILL comes through as a point of hope. More so with focusing on how Mifuyu and Momoko as the "seniors" of all the other girls choose to sacrifice themselves, that it wasn't as a cruel act of despair (as many who played the game will note since nobody actually dies), but that their sacrifice was born out of overcoming their own fears of showing weakness to their juniors that shielded both from ever being open about the tragic circumstances, much to their own misery. Instead, they are allowed to finally become one and be unafraid over death in their willingness to accept their tragic circumstance but also then help all the other girls who would despair over their fates.
Speaking of, about the Doppel System of the Magius being it's own "false shepherd" or too perfect a solution that doesn't actually address the problem (and in many ways is a cure as bad as the witch disease), because S3 goes down such a morbid path, it can actually say above that the mobile collectathon game's happy ending never could: that it's wrong. Basically because Doppels wind up being power-ups through delving into the girls tragic backstories, if basically just gives them gameplay power-ups but also means it can't ever tell players that its bad to do just that.
It was skipped over in the video in lieu more of the after math, but in respect of S3 ep 3's spoiler:
-The very nature of Kuroe succumbing to her own despair lends weight both to the Doppel System and the despairful nature of magical girls by showing that Iroha being the protagonist who already had all the friend group with her was in the WORST position to help a girl with a completely broken inferiority complex and so Iroha "fails to understand and connect" with her in her worst moment.
And that's a very plot important lesson, not just as a scene but as a full character within the system...that some girls WON'T be saved (at least in the anime)...but to ignore that fact would be dishonest to again the whole emotional weakness brought on through the entire story's theme of "Being Meguca is Suffering". The reaping of what was sown so to speak. But also because the aftermath just as well lends even better FROM that point: that even if you fail to save one broken bond, that doesn't negate the other girls/bonds that you HAVE saved (basically the whole immediate friendship sky fall being the saving grace).
To many they felt like because Kuroe dies (and by extension Mifuyu and Momoko...and the rest of Magius) that they wound up being completely worthless, if not contradictory to that theme. But to me it's just the opposite: BECAUSE the stakes led them to such a bitter ending that there STILL IS THE CONNECTIONS OF OTHERS THAT KEEP THE GIRLS FROM FALLING INTO DESPAIR. That is, the true triumph of strength, not some Madoka ex Machina that undoes any chance of suffering and consequence (which to spoil Rebellion, doesn't save everyone because it's inherently "sacrificing" Madoka herself...and by extension Homura's wish for Madoka's sake), is simply knowing that in perhaps completely impossibly tragic, unfair and miserable a world that is deaf and blind to your suffering that you may well still succumb to despair... that being willing to share that with loved ones can at least still save you.
I'm a little disappointed he didn't really mention Kuroe's own circumstance; that penultimate episode honestly hit me harder than the finale.
What ended up happening with her? Seemed really ambiguous, same with Ui.
@@growingoaksspoiler: she turned into a witch and died
As someone who played the game before it shut down, I prefer the anime adaption over the game. Despite the ending getting rushed, I feel the anime captures the imagery of the Madoka universe better (especially the creepy backgrounds and creative witch designs).
The game's story was okay, but having scenes coming to a screeching halt so that I can fight a bunch unrelated familiars (and the occasional witch) only for the scene to pick up where it left afterwards as if nothing happened was a little jarring. I understand that the game needs to have gameplay, but you think the writers would be able to plot things out a little better so that the battles could feel organic (I mean FGO often has Mash or another character to announce enemies are approaching to segue into the game play part). The anime does away with these surplus battles and made the story flow a lot smoother.
Also, I like that they limited the inclusion of the original cast in the earlier episodes. It allows the new characters to take center stage more and feels less like the story is dangling familiar characters in front of my face "Hay there bud! Look we brought back the characters you know and love!"
As for Kuroe, I think she was added so the studio could have an original character they can play around with and give Iroha some despair over being unable to save someone in front of her.
My only complaint about the anime (primarily due to its finale's pacing) is they sort skim over what happened to Walpurgis Nacht after they brought down Eve. However, considering Homura abandoned the timeline suggested Madoka didn't make it out alive.
Considering Alina’s goal was to turn the entire world into magical girls, LITERALLY forcing her mistake onto everyone else. Yea this makes sense. I do wish they’d introduced her lackey Karin from the game (to give something to lose) as it would make her less of the “magical girl joker”. Karins silhouette was in the opening for Christs sake just give us the witchy bab!
I wish we could have gotten a little more time with Alina, or others close to her, so that the final battle with her was, like you said, less of the "magical girl joker." I'm a sucker for the kind of character, so I kind of just let it slide, but she needed more time for sure
it wouldnt have felt forced to include them if the adaptation just stuck to the original story! the original story was written that way for a reason. the wish to cure ui is an anomaly in homuras multiple timelines. iroha doesnt exist in any timeline where there is the law of the cycles bc she dies in seemingly every timeline before kyubey can ever make a contract with her. wishing to cure ui launches a chain of events like a butterfly effect that ultimately leads to an almost perfect ending to the story. everyone is alive and walpurgis is defeated. she kicked a pebble on the way to school leading to a miracle. this is a tiny fragment in a sea of timelines that iroha gets to exists in as a magical girl subsequently saving nemu touka and ui from dying from their illnesses instead of dying in a car accident before she could contract with kyubey. adding kuroe to the anime felt dumb and they cut so many important storytelling moments from the game that they could never adapt it faithfully. idk what was wrong with them while writing this mess but the whole anime could've been so much better
I can't speak to the adaptation, besides I do agree that the addition of Kuroe was odd. With an already massive cast, I'm not sure why they wanted to add a new character to the mix
Something interesting about this particular timeline (a bit of a spoiler but at the same time something non players will never learn since the anime is over now).
This is the only timeline in which witches still exist since Madokami can't interact with it since she fears it might break the timeline. The exact reason is unknown but another fun fact about this timeline is that it's the only one where Madoka and Iroha exist (or in madokas case existed going by the anime). The game confirms that in every other timeline Iroha never becomes a magical girl since she always dies in a car crash which also leads to the girls in the hospital dying as well. That is why some people dislike the ending cause it means there was a never a chance for Ui and Iroha to spend more time and have a future together. This also implies that Magius will never form and all of the other Mikazuki girls might end up dying on their own sooner or later.
Interesting, we didn't get a full on hopeful ending here, but its certainly much more so than everyone dying to the usual fate on their own
im not sure why they changed the single timeline shes alive in to be so depressing in the anime. its like they forgot she exists in like less than 1% of the timelines that homura goes to like what kind of miracle pebble kick did iroha kick in the anime fr....
wtf since when did Iroha die in a car crash?
Very interesting analysis, you are quite right.
As a person you has being playing the game since almost the release (I missed the first month), and who already knew the story, Magia Record has been really fun and it's been great to see the characters from the game animated. At the same time, the substancial changes in the story do seem quite awkward to those who already knew the story. Of course, it's justified by the fact that's an adaptation and they have to work with whatever might work best, and also there had been some critics about Magia Record "not being like Madoka Magica", claiming that it's not as harsh, and hence worse for it, so they had to go for some changes. Also, it's justified by the anime story being just another story line of these events, with a "bad ending" to it, so it doesn't necessarily go against the game in that regard. Those changes do make it impossible now to have any hope of seeing the second arc of the game's story animated, since these changes make it so. The main changes, for those who don't know, I'll explain after the "spoilers" heads-up. One of the problems I do see, since I know the original, is that they rushed the end a lot, they could've used a couple more episodes to give a better end to the Eve, Alina and Walpurgisnatch section, especially.
Anyway, for me, I'll take the positives in both anime and game, since I really did enjoy seeing them animated, and I'll take the story from the game, as it's supposed to be what "actually happened", and also cause it's a lot of fun to play. It makes me a bit sad though that many people who are not going to see the original story will not get to know it, and I don't mean that it's bad, I enjoyed it and think it works well, but it does change major aspects of it. I really recommend playing the game, even if it's region locked to Japan, there are ways to make it work, and for the story you can probably find several videos online from the American server, which was in English.
I hope that you all enjoyed the anime and I'll see you in the next Madoka movie!
(Edit): I would've rather see the story animated as it was, with no major changes, but like I said, I understand them and don't necessarily dislike them, although I got a bittersweet taste at times.
[SPOILERS FOR THE GAME'S 1ST ARC]
So the key changes are both in story aspects and what happens to some characters. Ui doesn't die (she comes back when the little Kyubey and Eve come together), Touka and Nemu don't die, the Sakura uwasa appears, unlike in the anime (except for one of the ending drawings of one of the season 2 episodes lol), Momoko doesn't die, Mifuyu gets a crack in her soulgem but is eventually saved, Alina doesn't die, and she doesn't combine with Eve but with a uwasa, like Mami (becoming Holy Alina), Kuroe doesn't die in the game story, because they made her up for the anime (they added her in an event a few days ago, but she's not in that story line). Storywise, the way they rushed the last battles made it impossible to give them the time they would've needed (we barely see anything about Walpurgisnatch), and there are also other aspects that are different, but I won't mention them cause this is too long already (sorry).
So yeah, these changes make sense if you want the anime to not be too soft and/or offer something new, but they are not fitting for an animation of the second arc, since these characters appear, specially Ui is key. I was kinda hoping for that to happen, even though I always knew it was a long shot. And just how fitting are the changes really if justified by them being another story line? Because the game starts with Ui telling Homura to come to Kamihama where the fate of the magical girls can be changed (which is why the original magical girls showing up is not forced at all, they are part of the story, it's another story line with Homura trying to save Madoka in it, with extra hope for her since there is actually something different this time), and it goes well that time and she doesn't have to go back after Walpurgisnatch's fight, as we did see happened in the anime. So if it went poorly in the anime, it should've been prior to the game, but then in the game it wouldn't be the first time she hears Ui's calling, which it was. Either I'm missing something or that justification is kinda flawed and both story lines can't coexist without some major plot holes. But yeah, all in all, I did get a bit of a bittersweet taste due to the changes, but I'm fine with how it went as I explained before, and had a lot of fun. I do want to read the entire game story again, since it's been a long time.
I am wait very patiently for Magia Record season 2-3 to get there English dubs. But I did watch the first season of Magia Record and I very much enjoyed it is was a worthy continuation of Madoka Magica.
I think it has it's issues, but it does carry some of what the original did forward, and I appreciate it for that
Me too!!!!! When will it come!? I searched for answers but found nothing...might as well watch one episode of sub
I have this uneasy feeling the two seasons might not get a dub, due to mixed reception of the seasons and the game NA servers being shut down for years now, there might not be enough support for it. I loved the dub cast for both magireco and the original series, so I can only hope my suspicions are wrong.
@@zinzolin14 I hope that there will be a dub or so help me god I will be pissed.
Honestly, I think the dubbing studio dropped ship once they found out about the ending.
I'm in a constant state of awe whenever I watch your videos. How can someone put their thoughts into words so fluently?
I really liked your analysis of the Magius. They exploit hatred and are banded in weakness. The Magius treats the feathers as if they were expandable, but the feathers can't resist them because without the Magius their weak selves wouldn't be able to get grief seeds to prolong their life.
Side note. I personally disliked the game's ending of Arc 1. Everyone alive without much explanation and those who've committed atrocities without punishment. The anime kind of delivered what I wanted to see in terms of the results. Actions had consequences, and a forced perfectly happy ending did not happen. But the road they took to get there was wacky.
I know it's never going to happen, but the second Arc of the game's story features some interesting plot points. I would love to see it animated.
here's some of what happens in Arc 2. Spoiler alert.

Touka's uncle sort of find out the exsistance of magical girls, and its revealed that some politicians sacrificed the wishes of girls belonging a certain clan to gain power. Well, the main plotpoint is magical girls from other cities invading Kamihama.
Thanks! I think the quote that best sums up their abuse is Touka speaking on Mami, saying "dying for such a cause would be most honorable, don’t you think so?" They can make everything else seem so awful that giving your life seems a better alternative than the world the live in

Ever since I saw PMMM and Magia Record, I have never looked at anime the same way ever again and so is my outlook in life...
It may sound a bit naive to say, but some of the great anime I've see have genuinly given me a much more clear outlook on life myself. Without Psycho-Pass, I wouldn't have anywhere near as much of an understand of society that I do now, because it encouraged me to look deeper into it. Same with Madoka and my own weakness

They did, and as someone who loves more cyclical endings that stress the changes that did occur by showing what didn't, I'm a fan of it

While I do like S3 for the most part, it didn't really feel like it naturally followed from S2? At least, the Magia Record I'm used was more on the hopeful side of things akin to a traditional Magical Girl show. And S2 ended on such a note even with the more serious tone.
Then S3...went too hard on that seriousness towards the end? Felt too grim with how they killed off Kuroe in a situation that was similar to the Tsurumor situation. And I get that it's supposed to be a case of "Iroha can't save everyone", but...it's impact so lessened when Touka and Nemu die right after her. It makes me feel like Kuroe would have been better used if she had lived to save Iroha from despair instead of being the one to drive her into it.
I agree that the grimness of Kuroe's situation was too immediate for the tone of the series up to that point. I was fine with what was supposed to be added to the series from it, but I think part of its effectiveness was also lost in the suddenness after it as well. There was no time for loss to sink in, because they were already in the climax. So, she just kind of goes back to normal, and it feels like a wasted episode to some degree
@@ProfessorViral Makes me glad that the game goes on to explore Kuroe's character in an alternate scenario where she didn't meet Iroha until much later.
Her events delve into her self-depreciating mindset, and how Iroha gives her the hope she needs to gradually become a more confident person. Not by being ignorantly idealistic, but by acknowledging Kuroe's weaknesses and strengths and being there for her in a crucial moment.
Something that later gets returned when Kuroe gathers her courage to dive into a sea to save Iroha from drowning (Iroha is a terrible swimmer).
I love watching this show. I watch magica record more than the original it was was able to stand out on it's own.
I love magia record it’s such a masterpiece
Late comment, and I wished I could've saw this when it was uploaded. Its sad to go back and hear about that Magia Record's server is gonna close. But this video helps me to relearn that I love Magia Record and it won't change the ending of either the anime or arc 2/ 2.5. Thank You.
Professor, if you get a chance, take a look at Madoka's Different Story manga, I'd love to see your thoughts on that side story
That is something that I'll be keeping in mind for the future!
Equally, all suffered from marbles
Why didn't they just wish magical girls never turn into witches again? They even had three chances to get around any twisting of the wish kyubey tried
There is some aspect of having to be powerful enough for the wish they make, so its likely that no one has enough power to balance out a wish that would change that, even Madoka
How is the inclusion of the main cast of pmmm forced? Mami is literally one if the bigger threats while fused with the rumor of saviour of kamihama (which also perfectly fits into her main character flaw, her wanting to be seen as a figure that others can trust so that she can not be alone). And the other characters dont fit AS perfectly but they do, I thought so anyway.
I love Magia Record
But having Nemu remember everything doomed the anime's ending.
I like this take. I think the theme about weakness had always been a part of the Magica universe and magia records expanded on it. Delighted to see someone actually going with this approach
Thank you, happy to provide my part of it!
I honestly think magia record should just be called "Alina Magica" cause the end had her name written all over it.

Great video!!! :D
Thank you! 😁
honestly, im want to say something, for me, message of this anime makes me kinda angry, because just - accepting that you are weak and can't change anything is giving up, because as much as it feels that everything is unchangeable, it doesn't mean that the person can't take a chance to make anything better, just leaving record of our failings is not enough, people need to work together and change system to it's core, to rebuild from crumbles everything anew and better, i don't want leave record of my greatest failing, i want take everything in my hand and try again and again, maybe i can leave a thousands records, but as long as world can be changed, it worth it!
oh and to say that "being a magical girl is not an opression", I'm sorry, you will make even a small wish without any details, and you will die as a teenager because of this, this is not the fate that someone wants, so it's absolutely normal that magical girls want to change this
Sometimes the world is really wrong, sometimes the laws are really wrong, people often suffer because of the status quo, and this does not mean that you just have to accept it and blame yourself
Often people suffer not because of some personal shortcomings, but because of the system that sent them to this position, a system that is convenient that people suffer for whom it gives personal benefit, and I'm not going to put up with it!
So I'm sorry, but a world where "accept weakness and die" is not a world in which I want to live, a world where everything will crush you just because you didn't pull yourself by bootstraps
A world where you have to pay the price of death for a simple desire is not an option, and there is nothing wrong with the fact that girls do not want to pay this price, because it was put by someone who does not care about other people's lives, only personal gain is important for him
Where do you watch magia record?
I suppose I didn't think of "Weakness" thematically while watching Madoka Magica. I'll have to think on it for a bit because I'm not sure if I agree but I appreciate your thoroughness and thoughtfulness in exploring the topic.
Hey, that's all I can ask for!
I think the ending of the Magia Record anime was written better than the game, but it also felt like things weren't really any different compared to how things started. While the game is definitely guilty of several writing sins including the deus ex machina and 0 deaths, it at least felt like it gave a more substantial change to the world compared to the anime.
Regarding perceiving yourself vs others as weak or strong, I think I sort of see both as weak generally. Like... I see major flaws with the world and humanity that seem so fundamental as to be unfixable, but I also see myself as powerless to change any of it and the burden that I place on others because of that powerlessness. I sometimes try to claim a position of superiority for various reasons (I won't deny that), but then I look back and see that even if I am different, I'm not really any better. What would you really say to someone with this kind of viewpoint?
Ayyy
Thanks!
Boycott SHAFT and Magia Record for the anime sequel to Puella Magi Madoka Magica Movie Rebellion be made into a TV series instead of a movie, so the other magical girls from the spin off manga can be in it! And Mami Tomoe has a boyfriend who would play an important role in the story!
Oh and I bet that boyfriend has to be your OC too...
I ask again, are you one of those fans on the spectrum or something?
@@Homodemon maybe he is ngl
@@Homodemon I asked his friend “Mami is hot” if “Mami is hot” one of Mami’s (Facebook accounts) alt accounts at one point. The only response I got was getting a heart in the comment section. And I don’t know if I still have that heart or not.
What the hell is wrong with everyone here?! Boycott SHAFT and Magia Record for the damn sequel to Rebellion be made, and into the way we fans want it!! Does no one else want to see Sayaka and Kyoko become an official couple, or for Mami Tomoe to find true love?
I wanna see Pensuke and Septuse in the third movie, and my fanfic kinda depends on Rebellion being canon.
Are you on the spectrum or something?
