I’ve cried a few times watching this. The video shows … life? It’s oppressiveness and joy, it’s beauty and decay, creation and destruction, novelty and mundaneness, comfort and loneliness. For me in my painful time in life, it makes me question what everything is all for. We’re gonna die. Our work will certainly disappear. Everything will be forgotten. All the things we work for to make life more pleasurable for others in the future won’t really make them happier. They’ll be as unhappy as you and I are.

Imagine every thought blended up in your head then spat back out and left for you to pick up the pieces to be reorganised later. Hot take: Kaskade has been around so long he began in the peak of deep house’s popularity while on Om. He then endured the big room commercial wave moving to Ultra and now is circling back to a deeper sound again as it makes a resurgence.
My buddy and I picked him up with his wife before a show we booked him for in Denver a long time ago. It was surreal how down to earth and detached from any baggage whatsoever that frequently accompanies this level of dj fame. What a career, and all while sober and devout. I’m neither but I respect the discipline!

I do philosophy and this is by far the deepest, most profound work of intellectual genius I have yet seen.
Seems to be a story about the birth of a collective ethos. All the symbolism evolves like the arrow of time being pulled out of the business man's chest, then love hearts being used in industry and doctors growing flowers in the patient's brain, combined with all that stuff about racial and ethnic reconciliation and after that the businessman is pink and no longer pierced by the arrow.
Meanwhile there's constant references to communication technology and a progression through history, ancient Greece, the Teutonic knight, the wild west...
Every few bars there's a depiction of this ancient stone archway and then a tunnel going through it, made out of faces and skulls and human things growing out of human things.
And at the end, the last few bars are clearly a call for us to rise up into a more loving state of mind.
But what really gets me is the way the clips are arranged with the music to form an embedded image that slowly explains itself each time the pattern is repeated.
Pure genius, this has given me new faith in humanity.
