As an Oregon fan, I get a lot of Dan Lanning vibes from Jon Sumrall. He's a grinder, a hard worker, someone who cares about his players and values honesty. I'm honestly really excited to see what he'll do at Florida.

The weight room really has been an issue for quite a while, going back to right after Muschamp was fired. Glad to see he's making that an important focus.

You talking about hire your buddies reminded me of Coach Riley bringing DC Alex Grinch with him from OU to USC. I didn’t understand that hire then and still don’t. It took USC a minute to understand that failure as well.
I didn’t get the feeling that Golesh was confident nor do I think he’s ready for what he has cut out for him at auburn from your interview. But this guy has it I think Florida is back.
A walking can of NO2 with a big picture brain. Sumrall is the type of coach that can get his players to run through a wall. I don’t see the Gators flinching like years past under Sumrall

This man will actually succeed unlike Matt Campbell at Penn state. This man seems to know how to recruit and play football and Campbell can’t recruit to play football

He's definitely better than the last coach but as long as Mario is down South it will be difficult to recruit the best in South Florida. That's a huge problem!!
Maybe you don’t know how many “best” players are in South Florida, hell, Indiana beat Mario with more than a few of those South Fl kids, Sumrall’s biggest “problem” will be the conference he’ll be competing in, not Mario’s recruiting.
