What a lovely woman, thank you Paula for sharing your story! I'm 61 years old and went into menopause 5 years ago. I've suffered with a myriad of devastating symptoms (seemingly unrelated) since then. I've been to so many different doctors, had so many lab tests and imaging done, but no one could find anything "wrong". I had to do my own research to find out that ALL of my symptoms could be explained by menopausal hormone deficiency! I finally found a gynecology nurse practitioner who listened and took me seriously, and when I requested to go on HRT, she agreed to prescribe it for me. I started HRT exactly 1 week ago today, and I swear I'm already starting to feel better! I'm noticing I have a bit more energy than I usually do, and my sleep is also a bit better. I'm looking forward to feeling MUCH better as time goes on, and hopefully getting back to feeling like my normal self again. I finally have hope!
Thankyou so much Louise for the point that perimenopausal women may simply not have the energy to exercise enough to get fit (along with joint pain etc) this is the single greatest benefit of hrt for me - I am getting fit and strong again now - with all the benefits that brings!!
I am part of the generation who missed out due to flawed presentation of the WHI study. However I continued to have symptoms right up to the age of 67!! After being investigated for all things sinister my doctor decided to offer me a trial of HRT. It was amazing, all my symptoms disappeared and I’m sleeping better than I have in years. However at my last consultation with whom I thought was a very forward thinking female GP (menopausal on HRT too) she told me I could only have it for 5 years and each of those years I would be encouraged to reduce the dose or come of it altogether!!!! I was so disappointed…..
Since starting on HRT at 46 ( around 4 months ago) im so surprised how much my capacity to exercise has increased and come back if that makes sense. I totally resonate with the comment on this. Yes, exercise helps with menopausal symptoms and issues but if you're working full time and you feel your energy is diminishing it's not always as easy as just exercising more. I feel HRT has given me back my capacity to exercise in the same way I was 4 or 5 years ago.
unexpectedly lost my job at 39, and had $425,000 saved for retirement, $10,000 in an HSA, and a home valued at $200,000, I’m exploring ways to boost my income. What are some of the best options?
I'm wondering if I should merge all of my investing accounts into one. How should I proceed and are there any repercussions I should be aware of if I decide to do this? In addition, I plan to sell my property, which could result in an additional 200K time. Is it better to diversify over a few different industries or combine everything into one investing account?
These are crucial questions for a financial planner. I met mine at a NYSE summit, and with her help, my wife and I reallocated our $1.7M portfolio between a traditional IRA and a brokerage account. She’s been making investments with our approval and has helped us recover twice our losses. We’re holding steady and carefully navigating more markets
Thank you very much for providing this extremely valuable information. Can you comment on shortages in the transdermal estradiol system in the last several months and their absence in the East European countries? Do you have any suggestions on how to manage this shortage and absence in the pharmaceutical market?
My mum suffers terribly with joint pain and has recently had both her ovaries removed and says she's felt worse overall after this she is also 76 do you think a doctor would prescribe hrt at this age ?
Speak up and get your mom sorted, poor lady.lm 71 and have been on HRT for six months or so and it has helped a lot.Do your home work and loaded with information about HRT.MY doctors tried to tell me l was just depressed NO l wasn't l was running on empty and the blood test proved it.Good luck and get it sorted for your mom ❤
Age 75 no hysterectomy, what can I do? Recently diagnosed with osteopenia. My gyno says that all I can do is a tiny amount of estradiol cream vaginally. I wish someone would address this issue specifically. I don't know what to do. Any recommendations?
I’m afraid of taking Testosterone I don’t know why … I’m very post menopausal and been on estradiol and progesterone for 3 months …My pharmacist was kind enough to print out the fact sheet on the testosterone my GP prescribed I was disappointed that it has a long list of inactive additives included and some I’ll have to research to understand what they are… I’m in Australia I have always asked for body identical and micronised HRT following your advise … The testosterone I was offered by my GP Is called Androfeme 1 cream 0.5 mg What do you recommend in the UK Dr Newson ? Is there a better product ? Thanks so much for what you are doing for women’s health …
Cant help but to point out is nature being cruel or is it simply poor by design? Or is it simply that we're not supposed to live that long?? Bit confused!
Wow, she has been so fortunate to have a doctor who was giving it to her all those years... What a blessing!

Louise, you are definitely helping to change the present and future. Thank you both!
She looks fabulous at 76! Lots of energy. Great story, thank you.
I know she is getting estrodiol, but is she getting testosterone and progesterone too? Was this mentioned in the video? Did I miss it?
@ I’m not sure either, but it’s clearly working for her.
What a lovely example of the benefits of HRT.
Fantastic story. Thank you both.
My mum who is 78 will be very interested to hear this.
❤ feeling pain free & fit are the best benefits of hrt. Wonderful interview thank you.
Thank you Louise for such a lovely interview. Paula was so lovely to listen to. Beautiful young lady! 🙏

Thank you both! I believe HRT and job sharing would benefit profound for the community

it's reasonable to consider hiring a financial counselor at this stage, but delaying retiring for a while may be a more wiser choice

🤯The performance of my portfolio is poor. How can I contact your planner?

Really enjoyed this podcast 👍
In Jamaica there us no education on perimenopause or menopause which is so concerning
