Lorraine Gray was the most fantastic singer from the '60's - We used to book her for Manchester University Student Union Coffee Bar, at least once a month - she had a strong young voice and wonderful good looks - and she sang for her adoring fans, including me! Anyone know where she is nowadays? John Ardern
Hi Pete, last I heard of Lorraine was that she was in Australia. I must admit, I don't recall you goodself ! The Chaperones I knew were Keith Gresty, Bob Hoath, Roger Pinner and Alan McC ? !! Sorry for the delay in responding, I've only just spotted your request !! Dave Chalmers (Roadie The Wailers)
Hi Pete, me again !! Trevor Morais ! Now what a drummer he was/is ! He taught me how to do a one-handed roll !! But I don't remember him ever playing with the Chaperones ! But my memory aint what it used to be !!
Lorraine i do not know why you weren't picked up by some music producers. This record is good if not better than some from that era.Whyalla was wasted on you it should have been Melbourne where it all was happening..Olivia wasn't half as good as you,or Kylie for that matter.
WITH BREAKWAYS I BELIEVE. MY FAVORITE. THEY WERE GREAT BEHIND WALKER BROTHERS. SONG FIRST LOVE NEVER DIES
In 1967, The Crescendos from Singapore re-recorded this song on Philips.
I know the 1964 French version by Frank Alamo. I have never thought it to be a “girl” song.
Lorraine's original is great as well.
Yes! Bonjour Mademoiselle Maillot 3637!
