She didn’t hold herself out to be Shannon, she just lived her life, using her phone, credit cards & caring for her dog. Katrina Layton pleaded guilty to four counts of tampering with evidence, three counts of obstruction of justice, and one account of abuse of a corpse. Novoa was previously sentenced to 48 years in prison for Graves' murder and dismemberment, and the subsequent cover-up of the crime.
That's a great line when you're being questioned for a crime. Reminds me of Chris Rock's joke about bad parenting. "You're supposed!" I ain't never been to jail! "What do you want a cookie? you're not supposed to go to jail you low expectation having..."
I love this detective. Man is fallen and sinful. And this guy here is here to bring justice before they meet their maker. He is bunt, he takes no excuses that make no sense. Forget these detectives who provide sympathy and a shoulder to cry on. These are criminals. What happens here is nothing compared to eternity.
Clearly, you don't understand how to effectively interrogate people and pry the information you need out of them. Many times, feigning sympathy leads you to more information than if you're stony. That might've worked well in this case, but it definitely won't in all of them.

How did they railroad her? They already knew by that point that Trina had practically taken on Shannon's identity, using her credit card, phone, driving her car and taking on her dog. If she *wasn't* involved, any normal person would have already spoken to the police because how are you going to use a missing person's stuff and not suspect anything whatsoever? Trina would have known that Shannon would have never left her dog unless something had happened to her and yet she said nothing.
