I guess it makes sense that the new Glimmer has two tone hair. Considering her original keeps switching between pink and purple.
The original only had purple hair in that one episode. It was when she tried to dye her hair or somethin an it went wrong. But the original always had her purple tiara on.
Yeah... that happened in literally ONE episode of the original show... maybe do a little research before believing everything this video tells you.

The thing I loved the most about her was that she was this short chubby princess, with pink and pastels as primary colors and who's primary power was sparkle...and she's the most prone to violence princess.

5:25 Bow never actually dated Perfuma, he was her Plus 1 for the Princess Ball but nothing happened beyond that.
Aside from that, Perfuma gets together with Scorpia later.
I fell like she grew taller in season 4
Something the series does really well and subtly is that the characters do literally grown. Their height does slightly alter, and, most noticeably, their faces sort of slim out a bit as they age and mature.
The series did take place during 4 years she was 21 when the the show ended. Make sense

The whole earring thing instead of rings has shown up multiple times. Micha had earrings like Angela’s in the portal world and Spinerella and Netossa have neck pieces that look like they belong with the other one

I love her. I don't get why so many people dislike her. Maybe she was a little annoying at the beginning but I still liked her. To me she was a very fleshed out character that became more and more interesting as the series progressed.
I think people mostly dislike Glimmer for Season 4. I understand why they were angry with her but I appreciate that the writers had the guts to show that she's not as much of a good guy as she likes to think she is. To Glimmer's credit, she realised that she fucked up and put a hell of a lot more effort into redeeming herself than Catra did. Glimmer had to actually work to regain Bow's trust, while Catra just waltzed back into Adora, Entrapta and Scorpia's lives and received unconditional forgiveness for being a terrible person.
Season 4 made Glimmer one of the most complex and multifaceted characters in the series and that's one of the reasons why I think it's objectively the best season. This is coming from an Entrapdak shipper who would love the show more if Entrapta and Hordak were the protagonists. If I think that the best season is the one where Glimmer becomes a bitch and Entrapta spends most of her time on Beast Island where she can't interact with Hordak, it means that they handled Season 4 really well. Too bad they couldn't maintain that level of quality in Season 5.

@@toamszkozak8822 Continuing to blame Adora for abandoning her as well as gaslighting Adora about fighting her friends shows that Catra never actually changed. She just switched sides. There's a difference between switching sides and becoming a better person.

In the "romantic" climax, Catra was STILL gaslighting Adora about leaving. Adora did everything she could to help Catra and get her away from the Horde until she finally realised that Catra's just an evil person during the portal disaster. A disaster that as good as killed Glimmer's mother I might add, something that is 100% ignored in Season 5. To quote Adora;
"You made your choice. Now live with it!"
I would like to take a look at Rogelio, the lizard person who is a part of the hoard.
It's not that I disagree, but he just doesn't have enough screen time.

There really isnt any history there unfortunately. IIRC he is an original character for this iteration of the show and wasn't based on anything. and this show doesnt focus on him so we don't get history about him
When I saw the earring on Bows ear I kinda started crying, it was really sweet.

I loved everything about this! People don’t give Glimmer enough credit. Her flaws make her relatable and she has so many positive qualities haters choose to ignore.
Glimmer is my favorite character. Her character design was so cute

This Glimmer was an obnoxious brat at the start and honestly was still that even after she became Queen. Also OG Glimmer maybe had 2 instances where she was boy crazy. Don’t exaggerate just to make a point... Race doesn’t really exist in this show since it isn’t Earth. And the artists couldn’t even decide on her body size from episode to episode to terrible toy design.

I adore(a) Glimmer. She hasn’t just an amazing character design, she also kind of helped me accept my body. I would describe her as kind of chubby and a little bit more curvy than other characters, wich is the same bodytype I have. So ofc, I was really happy to see such a gorgeous character that is a little bit cubby.
UGH IKR, I love when people make chubby characters still pretty! I hate that trope of characters who are chubby are "disgusting lazy pigs who eat all day and fart all the time" it makes chubby people be ashamed of their weight, but Glimmer and Spinnerella made me confident. Their designs and body type showed me "even if you aren't that skinny you still can look beautiful"
I wasn’t a Glimmer fan for the first 4 seasons but I loved the culmination of her growth in season 5.
She starts 2 become far more empathetic through her growing friendship with Catra (since they have ‘almost ending the world’ in common now!) & she starts 2 c how her actions affect people, as Bow didn’t forgive her right away.
She could tell without Adora having 2 completely spell it out that she wanted 2 go back 4 Catra & didn’t question y she would want 2 do so......bcuz she already knew 😌
I also believe she helps Adora in terms of seeing things from another’s perspective (since Adora struggled a LOT 2 understand Catra’s emotional turmoil) as she tells Adora not 2 expect an immediate 180 improvement from Catra & (if you’ve read Noelle’s online Fic) helps her further by telling her 2 give Catra space when she feels overwhelmed.
So by the end, while she still wasn’t my fav, I had respect 4 her development.
I’m finding it hard to read that with words like bcuz (just use cuz) 4, 2, c etc 😹

Glimmer is pry the most humanized character in the series, I have never met someone, a cartoon, that I could relate to more in a show.

Something that made me disappointed in the series, is that Catra was never confronted for her role in the death of Angella and Glimmer/everyone never confronts her about this.
I think it's because they're on similar terms as far as the damage they did. Catra got the queen killed, but Glimmer used the equivalent of a nuclear bomb, and they both understood the damage those things could do and thought that their reason was good enough to use them. In confronting Catra for her role in the queen's death, Glimmer opens herself up to criticism for her decision. So they agree instead to stay on a level playing field. If glimmer is forgiven, then catra has to be too, because they basically did the same thing.

I love this so much! glimmer is my favorite character, and she always gets too much hate for no reason, and I'm happy to see that others also see her force
I would have loved to see some insight into her kingdom's crystal, and the elements she's associated with because of it. She has a moonstone, and her powers have a very strong "light" theme, hence her name (Glimmer) and the sparkles that she fights with, as well as the angelic symbolism of her mother, Angela.
There's a lot of symbolism to explore in the elements whether they're classical Greek, Chinese Wuxing, or just common video game tropes. It makes for a great topic to explore with the Princesses of Power, since each one has their own associated element.
Still surprises me that we never got a pyrotechnic princess lol

What makes Glimmer special is that Rebellious Glimmer from Episode 1 was 100% right. It was necessary to actually fight the Horde and Angella is lowkey a terrible leader for the Rebellion a lot of the time.
Glimmer is imo pretty consistently the brains of the Princess Alliance.

He-man's getting a reboot that's just a continuation from the 80s version, it wouldn't make sense for them to be in the same universe. Also, he wouldn't have much relevance to the plot.

One thing that is so amazing of Glimmer is that she has this quote at the finale of the series that best summarizes her character, and I love it.
“My mother (Angella) raised me to be brave. My friends taught me to be kind. And I’m stubborn. I get that from you (Micah). I won’t stop fighting! And I won’t lose another parent!” Is that incredible quote

I've been watching the origina lShe-ra and mostly, the original Glimmer has no discernible personality. But I definitely recommend 'Come Home Glimmer' or whatever the episode is called. It's where Shadow Weaver manipulates Glimmer into getting mad at Adora for taking charge and it's the closest original Glimmer has gotten to remake Glimmer, that I know of
Glimmer then was much more like a 13-15 year old girl in a world of adults. And so her priorities were much more selfish and self-centered. Though, she did mostly just play the role of damsel in distress, even when her own powers could get her out of the scrapes, a trait the reboot fixed and actually sorta made fun of. (This was mostly because the writers in the 80s would forget she can teleport).

I also liked her apology to Bow, the part where she rescues him and Entrapta from the clones on Horde Prime’s ship and defeats her chipped father in a magic duel.

The only thing i don't like about Glimmer is how quickly she forgive Catra for trying to conquer Brightmoon, destroy the world, kidnapping her and sent her mother into oblivion and she now treat her as if she was a good friend.
seems like you're treating Adora's wish vision as the actual future... Adora doesn't have future vision powers, that was explicitly her WISH for the future, the answer to Mara's question "what do YOU want after this is all over?" And Adora's dying brain manifested her deepest wish, a peaceful life with her two best friends finally together, and a relationship with the girl she's been in love with without letting herself realise before.

Besides, the CORE of Adora's journey is that there IS no destiny. It's what you create, when you follow your heart. Hence the name of the final episode, aside the physical heart of the planet, and the heart-shaped failsafe on her chest.

Perfuma and Bow weren't dating. Perfuma's a lesbian, and it was never stated that they were dating or in love. They went to princess prom as friends.
