That told me one thing - not only is she super-talented and innovative to be able to produce accurately in real-time something she had never done before, she is also extremely calm under pressure, and that's the hallmark of a natural-born performer. The band has definitely picked the right bassist to replace Miho. I'm waiting with bated breath for her to add her comprehensive input into Lovebites' next album. I believe she has the talent to significantly contribute to taking Lovebites to the next stage of their exciting evolution.
The 4 other young women of Lovebites were right to choose Fami because she has extraordinary talent and this video is striking proof of that. I say it all the more easily because I'm a big fan of former bassist Miho.

And some reactors just pause to say the things about the song before they forget what they wanted to say. Thanks for this reaction.

That was pretty wild. The tune had some '60s surf music drifting into TV themes from the same era, to how (like the rest of the world), Japan went kinda crazy at the time sort of vibe. Yes; I remember 1960s Japanese movies and pop culture... And of course her finger work is pretty damn astonishing, which is always nice to see in a bass player. Too often you get bass players who do that because that's about the most extensive they can deal with a musical instrument, because drums defeated them. She looks to be someone they took the guitar _away_ from because they were tired of her breaking the strings, and said, "Here... play this. You can hammer the fuck out of it to your heart's content and we'll save a lot of money on string replacements." 😋

Being a reactor is not easy. You have to add something. But as you say, if you stop often you need to add more. And that more can be anything the viewer likes. I know some reactors that do reactions for their own pleasure, but they are so nice and have such a good communication so the viewer do not get annoyed when they say - I just have to listen to that again. Then I know those that are very knowledgeable and when they stop, then they have something valuable to say. It works. Then the nonsens about not stopping in a solo. Some keep whining about that. But that is not true. You can stopp anywhere, even in the middle of a solo, if you have a good enough reason to do so. But the reason then has to be VERY good. If you absolutely not can stand stops in the middle of solos, go listen to the original.

We already seen Fami on stage with Lovebites, so we know she is legit. Fami had to learn a lot of Lovebites songs in a short amount of time, to get ready for those shows back in March. Fami has a super solid work-ethic. She is absorbing everything like a sponge. She is the first one to rehearsal, and the last one to leave. Asami said she talks to everyone on the crew, always eager to learn.
I love Fami's bass-playing in this clip, but the song itself is absolutley not my cup of tea, especially not the artificial squeaky vocals. I would love to hear similiar bass-playing in future Lovebites-songs, though. Since you asked for recommendations which might cause brain-lock, I'd like to recommend the official videoclip of Watchtower's "The Eldritch" from 1989: ruclips.net/video/YvFaA7P06YU/видео.html Way back then, they were the most technical Thrash Metal band and what I especially like about them is the clearly audible bass-playing on their album "Control and Resistance" and, of course, what they are doing on their instruments. Live-footage of this song does exist (I even found some from this year), but the quality is too bad, so if you want a video (and not just an audioclip, which would be fine as well IMO), pick the official clip.
There was a song? LOL I think I was too busy being shocked to notice. In all seriousness though, that really mine either but, for me at least, it did not detract from her performance. Thank you for your comment!
Now, you can't just say that and NOT tell me which one's are crazier!! LOL Thank you for your comment and I look forward to your reply to my reply so I know which ones to watch!

she is a decent bassist, but the video is FAKE! In the tapping part, moving of hands and pitch of sound do not match at all, and in the slap parts, the visible slaps do not match the audible double slaps as well. BTW: Davie504 commented on this already - FAKE!
To be specific - Davie504 said he had no doubt she played it and that he understood wanting to make it fun. In fact she has said it was recorded for fans. By blindly following anyone and hoping people are not as good as they are, wonder what that says about a person? So much anger over another musician's success... So sad.

Uh oh... Ok? (Spoken in a sort of scared tone)
Now imagine Lovebites trying to replace Miyako!
Impossible!
Amigo can u try this Japanese girl who plays Dragonforce on guitar and bass with her feet... not even kidding, it's the craziest music feat ever... Audrey and Kate, Dragonforce, foot bass... let me know if you need the link
Yup.. going to need the link! LOL
@@ThePentagenarian I know what they mean and here it is ruclips.net/video/z6Nqq2QXBiE/видео.html She is playing Rocksmith which is the scrolling stuff at the bottom of the screen. Audrey and her sister Kate (five years younger) play several versions of this both right and left handed guitar and bass or both guitar parts. You should also watch their original track Çatch You and search for 'Wizards in Winter guitar + bass'
Also Primus Tommy the Cat ruclips.net/video/zdiHDwRbjuU/видео.html
😂
your face 🤣
Snakewhisperer1 has typed what i had planned.
This will be my one and only watch of your channel. The rubbish you talked earlier about interrupting videos, says it all.
Snakewhisperer1 is that you😂
So... My not wanting to stop the video for not wishing to interrupt the song with musically uneducated senseless banter because I feel that artists write music without thinking about people stopping their song in the middle of it has offended you.
Got it.
Thank you for your comment!
Pausing is reaction video cancer.
fami is a very good bass player but some guy on youtube call dave 504 said that she is fakeing this and she can not the bass at all
Sounds like dave504 is a little envious. I have seen several bassists react to this after I did my reaction and all of them were astounded and had a high level of admiration. One guy says she isn't? I think envy of her talent is much more likely.
Thank you for leaving your comment!
Davie504 still needs to catch up to BOH from BabyMetal, as well as being upstaged by some 9 year old bassist named Ellen.
He's full of shit. Full stop.
Davie504 is just an egotistical dickhead. Yeah he can play bass but I don’t take anything he says seriously.
This isn't even her craziest video.
Now, you can't just say that and NOT tell me which one's are crazier!! LOL
Thank you for your comment and I look forward to your reply to my reply so I know which ones to watch!
This is playback. She doesn't even hit the notes played. But the track is amazing in itself.
... And from what I understand, Fami has acknowledged this fact. It makes her playing no less amazing whatsoever.
Thank you for your comments!
OK, so if you thought that was incredible, FAMI just though it would be nice to raise the bar and become .. an entire band. Yup, voice, guitar, bass, keyboard ... 1 FAMI.

You watched something fake because she’s not really playing it in that video.
Read the discussion. She played the track but performed over it. So you are only partially correct.
@@ThePentagenarian completely right, but that’s okay. I’m not putting her down bc she’s extremely talented.
she is a decent bassist, but the video is FAKE!
So sad.
