Tutti Frutti juicer - Restoration

  • Hi friends,
in today's part I have prepared for you a beautiful old cast iron juicer Tutti Frutti with serial number 198. Height per handle 50 cm, weight 4.85 kg! I bought this grinder for an advertisement like most other objects that I renovate.
A juicer (also known as a juicing machine or extractor) is a tool used to extract juice from fruits, herbs, leafy vegetables and other vegetables in a process called juicing. Crushes, grinds and / or squeezes the pulp juice. All original Tutti Frutti fruit presses are twice pure tinned in the fire under strict control. The use of lead, zinc and other metals harmful to fruit juices in the production of Tutti Frutti is excluded. At that time, the original Tutti Frutti was the result of many years of experience spread across the country and the most proven fruit press.
Some types of juicer can also act as a food processor. Most of the double gears and horizontal kneading juicers have accessories for crushing herbs and spices, extruding pasta, noodles or sticks, making baby food and nut butter, grinding coffee, making nut milk, etc. (source wikipedia)
If you have any information, you can share it with others on my Facebook page:
    / 951735661652138
If you have any questions about the process, use machines or other things, ask me in the comments. I try to answer everyone and as soon as possible.
I'm sorry for my bad English, it's not my language.
I'm uploading videos about restoring mechanical things. I'm uploading videos about the restoration of old wooden things. I fix things as best I can. I am self-taught. Therefore, if some procedures are wrong, forgive me. Thank you.
If you like this renewal, share and submit :)
Thanks for the advice on how to improve this channel!

    action index:
    00:01 Introducing the juicer
    00:30 Disassembly of parts
02:05 The juicer body was originally riveted, but also cracked in several places and it was necessary to remove the rivets so that I could weld the juicer body.
05:10 We put the welded and ground juicer in the fire to equalize the tension between the material and the weld and prevent it from cracking again.
05:45 We clean all parts with a wire wheel.
07:24 Since my juicer lacked some parts, it was necessary to make them. For example, I used the bottom of an old oxygen bottle for a juice spout.
12:55 We have finished the sink and it is still necessary to make a drain and at the same time a tightening piece.
17:06 Everything is ready for new tinning with food tin. I assigned this operation to a professional company that does these things.
17:15 Instead of rivets, I chose screws for possible disassembly and thorough cleaning. And the assembly of the juicer itself followed.
20:00 Thanks to my Patreon partners for the contribution I will use in the future to purchase sandblasting equipment.

This was a time-consuming, involved restoration. Most people would have avoided this restoration because of the need to fabricate missing parts. I'm glad you made it like new. Using an old oxygen bottle to make the missing spout was ingenious and well-done. The homemade scribe of wood and screw that you used as a guide to cut the base is a clever idea. Thank you for making an enjoyable kitchen tool useful again. Smiles and best wishes from the USA.

    • @VeradonaRestoration
