- Buying a house is the most important and expensive decision that you are going to take in Canada - however, it is really important that we prepare for it from Day 1 - which is when we get a credit card.
In this video, we will talk about the 5 rules that you need to follow in order to improve your credit score from day 1. We will also talk about what makes a credit score and what can we do to improve it in a very short time.

We don't like immigration agents - the ones' that aren't authorized by ICCRC and qualified to help you with your application in exchange for money - first of all, it's not legal to do that, and second of all, it's so easy that you don't really need paid help! We are a young couple who started their Canadian Immigration journey in 2018 and moved to Canada 3 days before the pandemic hit in March 2020. Over the course of our application, we have seen so many people getting screwed over by greedy / fraudulent and unauthorized immigration consultants who promise you the world in exchange for thousands of dollars and deliver a whole lot of NOTHING; to an extent that in many cases, the applications get rejected, due to their negligence.
Therefore, we are taking matters in our own hands. After months of research and our own experience of applying for a Canadian PR, we came up with an e-book series & this RUclips channel which would include - errors to avoid, perfect sample documents (my own) and alternate ways of immigrating to Canada - 100 pages of absolute goldmine between these 3 e-books - no filters, no premium versions to these ebooks... everything is out there FOR FREE, for you to read and execute the process yourself! All we are doing in these ebooks is sharing our experience of applying for PR ourselves / structuring and pointing you in the right direction via various different resources that are available on IRCC's official website. The RUclips channel will compliment the e-book and add some personality and entertainment to the entire process :-)

If you find the videos beneficial, please do watch ads completely. I respect them alot, but need to save money. So, I watch one ad atleast completely :) Best channel EVER! You made my friend consider using credit card, who is strictly a believer in no spending anything on loan, just spend from your current savings/money which you have. :) Kudos!
A very engaging and fun way to talk about such a critical component of anybody's future success in Canada. Keep up the good work pal!
Thanks 😀👍
I know that your main audiences are Indians but do you mind just speaking English so that we can all understand? I'm so sorry I dont want to be rude You keep switching and I sometimes get distracted. And anyway, if somebody's English is not good enough to come to Canada , why would they need to watch these amazing videos?
Thank so much. You are amazing
V good knowledge.. that know one ever has given.
Will keep it in mind as planning to move to Canada.
Keep discussing this type of topics rather than groceries bill.

Really crucial video! It's so easy to get into debt on a credit card! But if you use it responsibly it helps you have good credit.
👍👍
I laughed so hard when Navjot from the Past said," Mera Bhi Byeeeeee....." :D

That was damn interesting, and so clearly explained.

Indeed Mrs.Navjot miss this topic.
It is most important for every expatriates
😀👍
Quite informative! Very useful for new immigrants. Liked the dual presentation of Navjot sir in a very interesting way!
Thank you ... tried something different 😀
Navjot job well done at explaining all these points. Specially it makes sense for people from India and other countries where credit cards have not yet taken off that well and the penetration and credit infrastructure is still not that developed.
However, I would say the advice to make any expenses (after 30% limit is reached) using debit card or cash can be avoided, just that the credit used should not cross 30% at any time (though I know that you did say that). If one can anticipate more than 30% credit usage then just pay off the already used credit limit.
Rest of it great content
👍👍👏
Very Informative and Awesome Collaboration 🤘🏻

Very informative ...... love your videos .....cheers
🤩👍
This rule is somewhat applicable in India too..
Excellent video
Good informative video :) . I would agree to all your points BUT you need to see that you don't have credit cards from all the banks. You should have at-lease 1 Visa and 1 Master (as some stores only accepts Master like Costco, NoFrills etc). I have manage to have more credit cards and are able to pay them on time and utilizing it 30% of credit limit still the lender will see how much you are spending and are paying it off and still you have money to survive (i don't know what this concept is called). Though lender will see that you are paying off your credit bills on time there are no hard credit check or any dues still the amount they will lend you will be less as you need money to survive so also consider that.
Few more things the credit check is hard credit check (which reduces your credit score regardless if your loan is approved or not) and other is soft credit check (no impact on your credit score) which is commonly done by internet/cellphone service providers when you get credit limit increase on your credit card(s). The other thing is you can check your credit score once in a year which is free (though your bank offers it for free but not all banks provides it for free). Thirdly, if you are checking your credit score frequently other then FREE (make sure its free and do read the fine print which as it will not impact your score) service provided by your bank/institution you could end up decreasing your credit score as credit beaurue will consider it as hard credit check request/inquiry. In Canada there are 2 credit beaurues Transunion and Equifax make sure your information is upto date with them.
Thanks for the detailed info 👍👍
Thank you so much for this amazing information
very good information. thanks sir

Age doesn't matter. We are talking about a lifestyle change which will impact the next 40 years - not just for you but your family too. Btw, I am also 32 - so get what you are saying.
@@Potatotalkies thanks a ton. Means a lot when someone understands what someone is feeling exactly. B safe and thanks again
very nice and interesting video.. Thanks!
😀👍
Informative as well as entertaining Video Paji..
Thanks for info
Thanks for simplifying it, and love the flashback Navjot.
I had one question. In one of ur video u had mentioned to not take the bankers cheque and u did a wire transfer to Scotia bank which helps increase your credit score.. Can you please elaborate how that really works?
Thanks Mate
yes, even i want to know that.
Hey, naa... that's not true for Canada.
now I know that :) I mixed it up with Hong Kong's credit bureau where I have lived for 4 years thinking that credit cards work the same everywhere:)
@@Potatotalkies Ohh OK. Thanks for letting us know that. So in that case I will proceed with the bankers cheque.
Have a nice day ahead mate..
@@Potatotalkies Now I understood, thank you for clarifying.
Hey pa ji! Sasriakaal from Hong Kong! Thank you for your videos! :)
😃👍
There is one thing you are missing
The credit score we check in scotia Bank that is made by Trans Union Credit Score....
Actually that's not real credit score we can get an idea though plus this credit score is only centred or limited to your scotia bank. Means if u take credit card from Canadian tire and miss the payments that will not effect your Trans Union credit score.
But in real it will impact real credit score
Thanks for the constructive input.. I agree, this is only indicative 👍
Hey Navjot, flashback was super cool!! Simran, you too should have been there in flashback scolding him for not using cards prudently 😁. Jokes apart, it was interesting topic you touched upon Nav and of corruption a must to be aware of!!!
Hahahah
amazing explanation ....thank you
Very helpful information
Excellent information

Very well explained !!double likes for double roles 😊👍👍
Plzzz make a detailed video on the Quebec immigration system for those who are in canada & for those who are outside canada
It requires a job offer or french! So, I dont see a lot of demand for it from india.
Fantastic bro 👍
You are the best.
What a guest bro...😂
Wish u best of luck for ur new life bro✌️👍
😀
Paji tusi great ho
Nice
plz make a video on process of buying house on cash.....without loan...as muslims arent allowed to pay interest.... plz share the possibilities....
Hmmm... will try!
Not sure what you need to know thos would be a simple transaction since you wont be getting a mortgage so no need to deal with any bank just lawyers to process documents and register land title to new owner. Simple.
I like this couple a lot
Stopped the video in the middle and went to pay my credit card bill😂😂😂
It's really helpful 👌👍 god bless
😀👍
Navjot, Though Simran was missing from the vlog today, still its an insightful & informative vlog .
Thank you! I missed Simran too 😀😜

Will be happy to answer your questions there.
Something really infor.🤘
😀👍
Bhai, hatts off to your video. We get plenty of information from this.
Pls tell me what are the other factors to buy a first house @4.5 to 5 Lacs Dollars in Can. Consider I have enough @20K down payment is available from the first day of landing.
I am not sure but i have heard, that our credit score gets a hit as many times we check it..
That's a myth. What we check is a soft enquiry which doesn't impact our credit score
brother as usual nice video
Thanks :)
Make a video on buying a car in brampton...which car to buy and how much range it should be in.
Will do when we get one.
Useful information bro... Thanks for sharing.😊👍
What is the scope of marketing job in Canada and what type of product you sale in past and now??
It's good in normal circumstances. My expertise is CPG marketing.
Nice info👍🏻 good work.. have you applied for the driving license?
Not yet. They are closed.
Well done 👍 missed simron

Other than tht.

@@Potatotalkies your welcome bro..
Ur doing good..n I want u 2 go high with this
Hi Navjot....I have recently joined your channel....really like the way you guys share information.
Please confirm here in Canada the credit score you get when you get the credit card....has
anything to do with Indian credit history?
Hello , Need to know if my Wife Maternal Uncle can sponsor us for Canada , they reside in Toronto , our CRS score is 428 without sibling sponsorship , thanks
Nope... he won't be able to get you any points.
@@Potatotalkies Thanks!!
Guys you are doing great.. stay blessed n keep it up...
Well 1 thing i didnt get clearly.. as you mentioned at the time of arrival, your credit score was around 618. Right.. was that score affected/considered your credit history back in India or it was kind of minimum score assigned to you right after opening your bank n getting credit card. ??
I know linking it with India doesnt make sense however as i said i made me a bit confused to could you please make it clear to me..
This is helpful
Hi Navjot, thanks for the advice. Should the same principle of buying a car on a loan apply to buying a house?
Hi Can you enable English captions for all of your videos ♥️
I wish it was that easy :(
Captions need to be made, which takes a couple of hours per video
Thanks a lot for the informative video bro :) By the way did you all get two credit cards for the same account? TIA :)
One credit card only
Informative vlog Bhai
Thanks!
Read rich dad and poor dad by Robert Kiyosaki.
Yes, I love it
Hello...your videos are very clear and informative. I have a query. What if someones has enough money to pay for like 20% down for a house in canada within a short time of arrival from their previous savings. Can they get a house right away?
Sure… but the rate of interest may not be the best as your credit score will be on a low end. Do check with a mortgage broker about your options
Hello, You must have known me by now
becoz i have already ask so many questions. Here is one more: Does my Cibil(Credit) score in India be applicable even when we start over with Banking in Canada or do we get a seperate PAN/Credit History there.. Also, does my previous Credit History have an impact on Credit Score in Canada
You start fresh from scratch in canada
You jinxed your video, for me Video Starts and after you say "Is Baar to mujhe koyi Nahi rok Sakta" it gets stuck for buffering 😀
🤣
If someone has taken loan outside Canada and paid half of the amount and lost job and then couldn't pay the loan. The bank filed a case and that person had to pay fine but still has to pay off the remaining amount . will they check his credit history ? Will it affect on his PR application?
Your indian credit history doesn't matter in canada as long as you don't have a criminal / fraud strike in india against you.
Hey Navjyot!!! As you said if one is planning to buy a house in Canada, he or she has to start planning from the day one lands in Canada. My question is can an international student plan to buy a house in Canada?
Sure.. you still need to build your credit history for when you are a PR and able to buy
Does the Indian credit score and history be counted in Canada?
Is it possible to have bad credit history in India and make a strong 750+ credit score in Canada?
Very informative bro.....as soon as I land in canada, can I open an account and get a credit card without a job and salary statement,?
Yes you can
Thanks for prompt reply 👍
Is the credit same for all countries? As you credit was ruined in India, did it carry to Canada?
No.. start afresh in canada
@@Potatotalkies thank you so much for this reply. This puts my mind at ease as my wife made mistakes.
Btw I love your channel and videos
