@@davidfancsali Meghri-Kapan was very wild and difficult (no villages for days). The same for Geghama mountains. Of course those are the parts that I liked more...lol. Logistically I would suggest to start from Selim and face the Geghama till Dilijan, or if you have time till Alaverdi ;-)
@@MrViaverdi Thanks for the info! I was just looking at the route map, and yes, looks like there is absolutely nothing for a very long time :) I'll definitely keep this one in mind.
@@davidfancsali it is not easy but you seem experienced and strong. Geghama mountains are wild and amazing. On the way you will find some nomad sheperds: actually the only source of some food and comfort. Most of the time they invite you for a coffee and some food. Landscape is amazing. Then when you reach Sevan (lake and city) the stages till Dilijan are more "civilized" and well marked. Once in Dilijan it is easy to go back to Yerevan by marshrutka or taxi
@@MrViaverdi Yes, the culture of the region is another allure of trekking there. I've been invited into people's homes as well! I'd also love to do some trekking further south, near Tatev.

Really nice and inspiring video! I am going to hike Armenia from north to south in September and this video makes me feel like already being there!
Great work David, amazing video

Very beautiful adventure and shooting!
Nice video. I did TCT from Meghri to Dilijan, amazing but very hard trekking
Thank you!
I'll keep that section in mind. I'd love to return sometime and see that region in the spring.

nice video! makes me want to go now - when did you trek this?
Thank you! I did this trek at the beginning of October.
@@davidfancsali I thought there would be a lot of snow or something, but looks like a summer weather.
@@VarangianOblast Yes, the weather was very warm during the trek, although there was some snow on the peaks 2 days after I finished the trek.
