"Bike goes quicker than you can react", that's like my old 12R, you twist the throttle in 5th @ 100MPH and it feels like whatever was on the horizon a mile away is under the front wheel in around three seconds. Mental bike. A lot of the time it felt like I was doing 70, i'd look at the clocks to figure I was doing 110. Argh! Sorry I didn’t see this sooner. Lovely bike and I agree on the colour scheme. Really looking forward to seeing you at the social 👌🏼 Take care out there
Great video, brought back memories of mine. I had the Gen 1 first and then got the Gen 2 Mine was all black, I was offered a very good trade in deal for the Gen 1. I then got a sprint ST 1050 as a second bike just before pandemic so didn't use that much. After lockdowns I noticed my 64 year old knees were aching after a long ride such as Belgium, I was gutted by this. So decided to trade in my sprint and ZZR for the only choice that seemed right and now the owner of a GTR. After a year I love this bike now. I totally agree with you that as a young dude the ZZR is just right for you, so just enjoy. Hope to have a look at it next time I am at the Super Sausage
Thanks for watching the video mate. Crazy to think that we’ve both owned ZZR’s and Sprint ST’s, I hope you enjoyed them as both as I am currently ☺️ The GTR is a great bike and like I said in the video I was actually tempted to get one, but just felt that being in my 20’s the ZZR was the better choice for now 🤘 Would be great to see you up the SS 🤘
Only just found your channel. Ears pricked up watching your Triumph Sprint video leaving Holland Engineering and realising we’re in the same area. My bike history is all over the place though mainly sports bikes with a speed triple and Honda hornet in the recent mix. Just done up a ZX6R with black and green colour scheme. One of these would look nice as stablemates.very tempted or the z1000SX as you have also mentioned 🤔
Thank you so much for coming over to the channel. Yeah Pete is a cracking fella can’t fault him, he’s helped me out many times. Speed Triples and Honda Hornets are solid bikes, really can’t go wrong with them at all. I bet that ZX6R looks the business now 🤘 The Z1000SX is a cracking bike, I would of had one if I couldn’t of afford the ZZR for sure 🤘
Congrats on hitting 800+ subs mate 🙂 6 year olds are boss! 😀 Really glad to see/hear how happy you are with it, what a bike hey. I'll see you in Cornwall!

Great choice in my opinion. You will have power to sell. :) Definitely before autumn you are gonna pass the 1000 subs milestone. You will see. :) Got my like bro. Keep it up.
@@TheRhythmicBiker My experience was that from 850 on to 990 was quite quick, but from 990 to pass 1000 it was a nightmare slow. :) Hope for the best for you bro.
It is such a beautiful beast. You asked the question about comfort and I would guess it’s comfortable for that kind of bike and for a young lad like yourself. I’m old and not nearly as flexible as I used to be lol. In my younger days, I would have owned one. I had a coupe of GSX R’s back in the day, and a variety of other sport bikes.
Aha thanks for watching mate. I’m absolutely living mine so far but don’t worry, when it’s time to upgrade I’ll probably just be getting a newer version 😂😎
Beautiful bike. Nice video. I had a new 07 in the beautiful blue color offered then. But truthfully, I like your color better. Best bike I’ve ever owned. Currently ride an 08 concours 14. I’m 60 so, there you have it. Ha. It’s a great bike too for many of the same reasons the ZX14 is. Good job! Oh, for those of us in the US, what are those zigzag lines for in the road on occasion? And why are there curved arrows pointing in the wrong direction every now and then? Sorry, not a world traveler.
Thank you so much for watching mate, glad to hear you’ve experienced the feel of the ZZR’s brilliance, I do love the colour on mine ☺️ It was actually a test ride on the GTR1400 that persuaded me to buy a ZZR1400, I think both bikes are amazing ☺️ the zigzags are to warn motorists of an upcoming pedestrian crossing/priority. The curved arrows are for cars overtaking on the wrong side of the road to come back over because the upcoming road isn’t safe for overtaking. Not to worry, I suppose our roads can look a bit funny to most ☺️
Good to hear your coming to the ride out. Red coming? Is a cool bike RB, but it's true that I used to like sports bikes but as things stiffen up ( uhh hummm) and one becomes less flexible it does become more of an effort to ride those toys off bikes. You have another 10 years or so before you have to think of that crap 🙄😂 Really good to hear you happy on a bike again. Your going to have some great adventures on that one for sure 👍🍻
Looking forward to meeting you mate. I don’t think red is coming sadly😢 Thank you mate, and yes I’m sure eventually my body will start to tighten up , but until then I’ll enjoy the ZZR to the fullest 🤘
Beautiful new Kawasaki and I agree the black and green color scheme is awesome. If you’re going to own a Kawasaki it needs to be green! I also agree with your assessment of Japanese engineering for motorcycles. They know what they are doing. I owned Hondas and Suzukis for many many trouble free years. Cheers mate and ride safe. You’ll be at 1,000 subscribers before you know it.
Thank you for stopping by mate, I really appreciate it 🤘 It’s always gotta be black and green for sure 😎 Looking forward to keeping up to date with your channel fella, take it easy 🤘
Wow nice 😮...what a machine 👍. Stunning bike hope you have many adventures ahead of you. I know it's a very personal thing but for me personally I'll stick with sports bikes ( well my 2007 R1 ) for as long as I can throw my leg over it. Until that time I'll be sticking to it I know one day I'll no longer be able to ride it but until that day comes I'll be enjoying it to the max 💪
I don’t blame you mate. I love the R1’s, and your one in the white and red colour scheme is stunning. I’d definitely recommend staying with it until you can no longer throw a leg over 🤘
The handlebar risers would be key for me, if I have to put weight on my arms while riding, I’ll tire out quickly. Then again, I’m a lot older than you are!😂😂
Just because it was in a dealership in Manchester and they had other bikes to deliver before mine, I couldn’t have picked it up myself but didn’t think that long of a journey would be wise to do as a first ride with the bike 😅 I did, I had a 2001 FZS600 Fazer, I even have a tattoo of the bike on my chest 😂 Candy apple red I bet that was a stunning bike 🤘
@@TheRhythmicBiker well that makes very good sense. 😁 Yes, it was stunning and not very comfy for the pillion...aka me... So that's when I decided I should get my license and my own bike. My 1st two bikes were Kawasakis. ... Long time ago 😅😁💜
You're tall so probably the right shape for that bike. I test rode one before buying my Z1000SX but I found the ZZR a bit of a stretch for my short ar$e and t-rex arms. It didn't have bar risers, though
I think the bar risers would definitely help but even still the legs might have been an issue, perhaps you’ll have to take mine out for a ride and see how you get on 🤘
im sure if you keep reviewing this make and model of bike your subscribers list will grow immensely, goblin rides channels last video pointed that out, and owning one myself i know what he means, immensely underrated machines, and ive now subscribed.

Thanks for this. Decided to go GTR1400 a month ago post Paneuro having loved previous ZZR1100s. The GTR is great but wish I’d gone for a ZZR1400 because the the acceleration is always available without having to drop down 👍😎
Congratulations on the new bike mate, the GTR has its purposes and it does them really well 🤘 The GTR is an incredible bike, it just wasn’t what I need at the time, however you still get an awesome engine that is capable of insane speeds, I think the acceleration is down to the additional weight the GTR has
If you haven’t already, send your ECU to Ivan’s for a tune. Makes a worthwhile and noticeable difference of many aspects of rideability, cooling, and power.
Loving your thoughts on this machine; this or the triumph (which I loved) or a vfr 1200 ..??? Help....!!! Got a great vfr 800 5th gen, naturally ,and its a great machine, but 23 yrs old, so only used in the summer. Lets ride, I'm, not so far away in Barnet?
I personally love the VFR’s, I almost got a VFR 800 before I found the Triumph Sprint ST 1050. Normally it doesn’t matter how old a Honda engine is, they’re bulletproof 💪 Barnet isn’t that far at all mate, we should definitely go for a ride 🤘
After seeing the bike in flesh at super sausage got to agree its a weapon of a motorbike and looks stylish and fast sitting still 😀 it scared that car in front of you he wanted nothing to do with you lol 😆
Hi I think this is a seriously good looking, quality bike. Also, less of these around so a bit more unique. Wonder how many of these there are in our neck of the woods (or dual carriageways). Saw a blue Sprint a couple of weeks ago at Bike Sanctuary and wondered……….. Regards
Welcome to the zx14 owners! I love my 2009 zx14 special edition for many many reasons. A big part of it is the rarity. In a city of 1.4 million and riding into the rocky mountains into some of the greatest biking roads, in the past year of riding i have not seen another one. i think i will have to make a video and post it this spring. She is still tucked away for the winter. Counting down the weeks before bring it out of hibernation.
Thank you so much for watching and for your welcome ☺️ That’s so cool that in such a populated area you seem to have one of the only ZX14’s around 🤘 I bet the roads around you must be awesome to have a blast around. Hopefully winter won’t last much longer over there and you can soon get out and awake the beast from its slumber 🤘
@@TheRhythmicBiker By the end of March it should be almost time. Lots of snow to go away and then you have to be very careful because all the gravel on the roads. But by then all the street sweepers will be out. Calgary being by the foothills of the Rocky Mountains gives you the big long sweepers and in a day drive there are amazing roads. Of course there is the road to the sun (that now you have to book your pass to go over).
@@kellygrant4964 Yeah I can imagine there is a little wait after the snow has been cleared, we’re lucky here that we don’t see much snow and even when we do it’s barely anything. Ahh the sweeping bends sound awesome, definitely worth the wait 🤘
I'm looking for my next bike, and was pretty set on the Concours14 or the ZX14R. Then I came across the BMW K1200/1300S. That is my perfect bike, an Autobahn cruise missile. It's a shame BMW didn't just copy a Kawasaki clutch/transmission, as that is the K bike's weak spot. As a 45 year Kawasaki loyalist, I am torn between the K1300 and the ZX14R. I know that if I get another Kawasaki, it is very unlikely I ever have to go into the engine. All the modern bikes' electronics are things I don't want to have to get to intimately know.
I ride with a mate on a BMW K1300 and honestly I don't think you can make a wrong choice here. Both bikes are brilliant, the K1300 is slightly more comfortable for longer trips, the ZZR has the more poke and speed but realistically how much of that are you going to notice. It's all going to come down to your needs of the bikes and of course which one makes you happier to open the garage up to when you ride it.
I guess no-one gave you valuable advise along the way 🤔 Or perhaps made a video exclaiming the bikes virtues including how it felt for a pillion, how its lights coped in the dark, how it sounded under acceleration 😯 They might even have dedicated that video to yourself but quietly, so as not to draw attention to others who were unaware of your interest. I'm glad your happy with the ZZR, Full of yourself it could even be said 😘
I’m very happy with the ZZR, it’s certainly not perfect but show me a bike that is. I think the ZZR was the bike I want and needed, I’m super impressed with it. Long may the love continue. Thanks for watching mate 🤘

Ahah pretty much mate, she goes like a bat out of hell 🏍️💨 She’s a 2011 reg so she doesn’t have traction control or anything, but I think the only thing I’d trade this in for would be a newer ZZR 😂🤘
Don't know why I didn't sub 2 months back. But here is another interested " old man" that's rides on a GTR/Concours here in the states. Bike looks great and if you are happy, I am happy. I like long trips, so the Concours fit my wants and needs. I am only 49, but to you, that might be old. Still very active old guy. It's OK, I will grow up one day to even older and buy a Royal Enfield Himalayan! 😂
Ahah thanks for subscribing mate i really appreciate that. 49 definitely isn’t old and the GTR is a fantastic bike, when I got to ride one I was very impressed and it really was a reason why I went for the ZZR because of how good that engine is 🤘 Aha I think we all will one day own a Himalayan, the world and his dog seem to be getting one at the moment 😂

What a beautiful bike I like the colours and it's looks of the kawasaki zzr 1400, I've sat on a new well not new but a year old Suzuki hayabusa nice bike all round BUT i found it a bit heavy and the foot rest were a bit too high up for me being 6ft ,then I sat on the kawasaki zzr 1400 wow it felt so light when moving it from left to right So much lighter than the hayabusa.. It's roughly the same weight as my kawasaki zzr 1100d3 , Which is a lovely bike in looks and rides great, BUT I must admit I do like the kawasaki zzr 1400R and I'm really tempted of buying one that would be my last bike because I'm hitting mid 60s not like some of you spring chicken on here lol.. What do you people who own a kawasaki zzr 1400 think I should do, Can you please give me some feedback on this please........ Hello Franco, thank you so much for watching the video and for your awesome comment. You’re spot on, the Hayabusa does feel a little heavier than the ZZR, it’s all about the weight distribution which I believe Kawasaki have done better than Suzuki in my opinion. Personally I would recommend you get a test ride booked on a ZZR, see how you feel on it out on the road, and if you get on with it then I promise you that you will never find a better bike, they are truly a great bike to ride 🤘 Whatever you do please do keep in touch with me and let me know what happens👍
To the Rhythmic biker... Thank you so much for your reply, I'm going to take your advice and book myself a test drive on a kawasaki 1400R and let you know how it went.. Thank you once again , Franco
Being a little irresponsible for a moment, not long after the first ZZR1100 was released, a friend of mine, an HGV driver was moving a very abnormal road on the outskirts of Newcastle one Sunday morning. In the middle of the move, he was requested to stop by the police escort, as someone was hurtling down the Western Bypass at a ridiculous amount of speed. There was no attmpt to pursue the bike, but apparently it was going too fast to get the number plate, but when the speed gun was used, the reading showed 186mph. I'm not saying it did or didn't happen, but I got the story from the "horse's mouth".
It's not something I'll own but I see why you like it. It is a beast, fast and comfortable. The only reason I wouldn't own it is that it's not suitable for my riding style and the places I ride. Kermit will serve you well.

Sports tourer always seems to confuse a lot of people, sometimes even the experienced.. Easiest way to confirm a sports tourer, a bike that looks like a sports, had that power and is comfortable enough to tour on, by all accounts, the zzr1400 is a sports tourer.

Crazy to think that we’ve both owned ZZR’s and Sprint ST’s, I hope you enjoyed them as both as I am currently ☺️
The GTR is a great bike and like I said in the video I was actually tempted to get one, but just felt that being in my 20’s the ZZR was the better choice for now 🤘

My bike history is all over the place though mainly sports bikes with a speed triple and Honda hornet in the recent mix. Just done up a ZX6R with black and green colour scheme. One of these would look nice as stablemates.very tempted or the z1000SX as you have also mentioned 🤔

Definitely agree mate thank you. As I get older I’m sure the bikes will get more upright but for now it’s nice to enjoy it 🤘

Thank you so much for watching mate, glad to hear you’ve experienced the feel of the ZZR’s brilliance, I do love the colour on mine ☺️
It was actually a test ride on the GTR1400 that persuaded me to buy a ZZR1400, I think both bikes are amazing ☺️ the zigzags are to warn motorists of an upcoming pedestrian crossing/priority.
You have another 10 years or so before you have to think of that crap 🙄😂
Really good to hear you happy on a bike again. Your going to have some great adventures on that one for sure 👍🍻
Looking forward to meeting you mate. I don’t think red is coming sadly😢

Congratulations on the new bike mate, the GTR has its purposes and it does them really well 🤘
The GTR is an incredible bike, it just wasn’t what I need at the time, however you still get an awesome engine that is capable of insane speeds, I think the acceleration is down to the additional weight the GTR has

"the bike is nuts and it looks nuts" can't argue there 👍
Ahah talking straight facts 😂
I guess no-one gave you valuable advise along the way 🤔 Or perhaps made a video exclaiming the bikes virtues including how it felt for a pillion, how its lights coped in the dark, how it sounded under acceleration 😯 They might even have dedicated that video to yourself but quietly, so as not to draw attention to others who were unaware of your interest. I'm glad your happy with the ZZR, Full of yourself it could even be said 😘

So much lighter than the hayabusa..
