“Joy” has been sold to Christians as something you must “put on every day” like some piece of clothing, or like the Beatles sang in “Eleanor Rigby” that she “kept her face in a jar by the door”, ready to put on before she left the house in the morning. This is ALL WRONG, and God has never taught that. He has taught that “joy” is a result of a great expression of doing His will, when He has led you to do something that brings great delight and intense expression of the goodness of our loving God. We don’t concoct it. We feel it. We express it. We enjoy it, WHEN …WHEN…WHEN IT HAPPENS. Anything else is false and God is not a God of the “false”, but of TRUTH, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically.
