How did you make your photo larger?

Do you mean to zoom in? There are a few ways you can do that.
On your left, you have the Navigator Tab, where you can choose how close you want to see your photo. "Fit", "100%", "200%"...
Or you can press "command" and "+" on your keyboard to zoom in or "command" and "-" to zoom out.
Another way, if you use macbook, you can use the trackpad. To zoom in, you slide two fingers apart from each other; to zoom out you do the opposite motion.
