Stopped watching games soon after. 20 years later I'm watching games all the time because Ohtani got me back into it - Now I'm beginning to appreciate it as an adult. The increased speed of the game due to the pitch clock as well as all the new statistical categories make it really fun to watch.

I am an avid Baseball fan, Giants fan so taking my bias into account, I think this is actually a better way to have his first start back than if he were to strike out the side. He had to work hard that inning, and he limited damage while getting the job done. I know everybody wants to see him strike out 27 batters and hit 4 homers in the same game, and if it doesn’t happen then he must have had a ‘bad game’ sMH Can we all just appreciate the fact that we are all a witness to greatness. What’s the saying? Can’t see the forest through the trees… Well, it’s about as fitting for this situation as I could possibly try to articulate. Enjoy the show, this is history.
