Chadeo, It looks like Lucy is really into this one. She's animated, in the hoo,hoo section she closes her eyes and just let's it rip. Plus, she does what she does in a lot of her videos and releases all the energy and comes down to a very endearing/tender and smooth last note or two. That's what really affects me with a strong reaction. Wow!
Another thing Lucy does is that when it's basically a first person lyric she brings her hand(s) to her chest to include herself in the song. That's part of the way she 'performs' a piece and doesn't just 'sing' it.
I didn’t credit the original and I’ll say it I’m not a fan of Lady Gaga, simply because I prefer to be able to hear and understand the lyrics. So I like Lucy’s crystal clear voice and clean vocals. So to me this is far better than the original. Even so I think Lucy has leaned a little to Gaga adding a touch of American twang, which I wasn’t too sure about. I’ve watched this over 100 times as for me I need time to fully appraise, and as with all Lucy songs this and they are just great. How about reacting to 'I Have Nothing'? It's a great song but no video so gets sadly missed.
I said exactly the same when i first heard this then i went on the lady gaga version and commented that i thought the Lucy Thomas version was better and i suffered death by the Rainbow underpants brigade for daring to belittle their icon.
