Today we're painting with Black 3.0... the world's blackest paint (allegedly).
Stuart Semple created this super matte, super black, and ultra pigmented acrylic paint formula. Will it wow us? Let's put it to the test and find out!
I bought a bunch of Stuart Semple's paints last year, but I specifically wanted to save this one for October. It felt festive and fitting. I hope you enjoy this fun art project!

Hi Mira. I enjoyed watching you paint with the BLK3.0. I can commiserate with you on the loss of your artwork. I lost my entire portfolio in a flood as well.
I just wanted to give you some grandmotherly advise... please never ever put a paintbrush in your mouth again. You would not believe how many artists died from cancer and other problems brought on by cancer causing heavy metals in our paints. Even if your particular paint does not have these in them, the paint brush handle might.

Miranda, it's been a complete joy watching your style evolve over the last couple years. This painting is absolutely adorable! And OMG, your comment about the clouds peeing just reminded me that my daycare got soooo mad at my mom when I was a kid because she told me rain was God peeing on us. She's a good Catholic but she didn't mind having fun sometimes. :)

This was really fun to watch and although I do love colors, it was satisfying to see such a really dark black on super white paper. The contrast of black and white is classic and the way you doodled all the random things was fun :) I spent some time looking at the finished piece. Great work~

I love Brene Brown. I always recommend her Netflix special to introduce people to her. I have 2 if her book on audible. I've listened to Rising Strong as a Spiritual Practice at least twice, and I'm working on The Gifts of Imoerfection. Love the painting too. 😄❤

Noooo!! Now I can’t tell you my favorite ice cream flavors cuz everyone will think I’m lying!!! I love coffee ice cream (which is a given cuz I run on coffee) but I also love cake batter 🍦. Although I can only speak for the regular one. I’ve never had chocolate 🤔. I love this type of artwork! It’s very cohesive and yet full of different thoughts and emotions 😁💕

I was super into zentangle not too long ago. I actually have an entire series of Zentangle animals that no one has ever seen because I wanted to finish the whole series before posting any of them. I planned on making it a colouring book. When it's out Id love to show you cause I have a feeling you would really like it. I'll tag you in it regardless, when I eventually do finish it, because your sketchbook ideas is one of the things that inspired me to zendoodle.
Edit: oh I forgot I also wanted to tell you that this video is inspiring me to do a zentangle succulent series. Cause you're zentangling and you're also a huge inspiration for my love of succulents! So thank you! ♡

This is a lovely video and such a fun piece. My brain went blank on art a week or so ago and this is quite inspiring. I might yet try this paint, I’d want to colour it all too. Acryla gouache is basically matte acrylic too, I think. For ice-cream, almost always chocolate.

Quick tip: the opposite faces of a die 🎲 always add up to 7. So the 1 is always on the opposite side to the 6, the 4 is opposite the 3 and the 5 is opposite the 2. 😊

Its great to see one of my favorite art youtubers doing zentangles too. Zentangles are used as a form of meditation with drawing everything and geometric shapes that just pop in your mind, usually for this there is no plan no sketch just draw just dive into it. You did it right and you did it in the mentally distressing way. Good for you

I didn’t like ice cream that much for most of my life, until I went to Cold Stone and realized you can use it as a vehicle for cookies and candy. My favorite ready-made flavors are cookies & cream and orange creamsicle (always a milkshake with that one). But my favorite customer flavor is chocolate with cinnamon, graham cracker crust, and white chocolate chips.

Yeah there's a whole series of ones that Stuart Semple makes - world's blackest black, pinkest pink, goldest gold etc. He also has a pearlescent paint that is called Unicorn Milk and a bunch of other stuff too.
