You can feel true love and passion for cars from this guy. He reminds me little bit of me, my life is turning around cars only, Ive builds cars since i dont even know. Lot of money put into bad projects, lot of into good projects, no regret at all. I will build cars until I will die. Doesnt care how my car looks to other people, how they like the way it looks, just care about how I see it. It doesnt even matter, which car do u drive, which engine. Its all about passion to these things on 4 wheels :). Sorry for my english. Cars for life
My brother has similar, it's called VW Caddy here in Europe. Its Fastest standing mile top speed is 261km/h, abaut 162 miles per hour, with 367hv 1.9tdi. Latest measured max power is 432hv at the crank.
A rwd R32 caddy mk1 is probably my dream project. Too bad they don't really make trucks like these anymore. It's the Skoda Felicia pickup and the Dacia logan pickup at least in Sweden.
Man this is awesome! A Vr6 is not the most common swap in Europe where I live (due to the caddy only being available as 4 cylinder versions, there are laws preventing it from being legal which is checked on a yearly basis). So seeing this, I really love it! You are probably aware of this yourself, but I thought to share a little info anyway. The 1.8 20vt are AMAZING engines with endless possibilities for mods, I have one myself too (not in a caddy). When you talked about the clearance in the engine bay, when you swap for the 1.8t (which is smaller already I assume) there are different build versions depending on what car it came from. The intake / outlet setups can differ in placement which could help with placement of cooling and turbo. Of course there are many ways to switch it around, but why not start with everything already close to where it needs to be and save yourself the headache. Cheers mate!
Change your rear suspension or roll your fenders so you can have more clearance and less tyre rubbing whilst driving or having a heavy load at the back
@@johnrollintuff he's pretty well known in the mk4 community for bad costumer service and never getting back to people, sometimes making people wait months for tunes when he says it'll be a 2-3 day turnaround and never helping if you have any issues.
@@johnrollintuff I have his tune on my 1.8t, thankfully I haven't had issues but he did flake on me when I was trying to update my tune when he was local, can't wait to get rid of it when I put my 3071r on.

Dope👍. What would a set up like this cost in a mk1 rabbit?
@@samyrnicolas2531 I too wonder

That sure beats the 1982 Diesel Caddy that I had. I was lucky to do 75 on level grade! Great mod!
that was pretty funny "it gets a little scary at 140"

No one was doing it but yeah there was a kit already made for people to do just that interesting…
Man, ive wanted a vr6 caddy ever since i got in to VWs
Right..... people either get Volkswagens or they don't and for us people that do, these trucks are just too dam cool ya know.

Holy cow! Just a little scary past 140. I had a '81 caddy once with the stock 1.8
400-500 will be no sweat on a good bottom end with the 1.8t, using the stock AEB head. Boost chugging monsters for sure.
Shout out to turbo Dave. Great work. Sounds amazing
Dream car right there, beautiful little monster

Had a Black/Black 1982 VW Rabbit 🐇 Pickup, always wanted to do a VR6 in it.
BADASS I love vw’ s I had a mk2 gti vr6 swap know I drive a Vw cc 3.6 4 motion and boy do I miss my mk2
I like that guys style
Good looking car with beast engine, I love it!
John needs to have his own RUclips channel. I'd subscribe. 👍
Awesome conversion
Love the truck brother, awd swap it and turbo it 👍
Should put motor in the rear. Lol. Good job
better to turbo the r36 rather than putting the 1.8t in
МКПП какая стоит не ссм? 5 или 6 передач и как переваривает 3.6,без поломок?

How much do you want for this engine? How many miles are on it?
Hi John can you tell me if a 05 Touareg work on Mk1?

Great video my friend, but where is you speedometer??!! 😂😂❤️❤️
Th mis is man vs woman. Made no sense to put that engine in that truck, but it doesn’t matter if it makes sense. It’s freaking awesome.
I like this guy
Want to sell as is?
U should put dynamat
Put some nice Paint on that Poor Caddy mate.
Make her AWD man!
I’m willing to buy your vr6 engine
Ok please tell me how to find a bench seat for my pickup!!!!! Not joking. PM me or something. He has a bench!!!!! I want one.
Ian Potrament it looks to me to be a back seat of a classic mk1 rabbit car I’ve owned 5 Caddy’s never has one had a bench.
Marty fragael?
Yup! Exactly!

Only Deutsche bags go 140mph in a pick up! 😅😅😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣. Jst kiddn. I've always wanted to put a Corvair Corsa engine in a 🐞 Beetle.
Muffler? 😖
No no you do not take out the VR6 and put in a lawnmover engine
