Do research on a school that you like, and then apply to it. I suggest UBC because they take in a lot of international students, is cheaper than most other mining universities in Canada, and they have a strong focus in coal

First you need to get a valid work visa/permit to work in Canada, then afterwards, target coal companies such as Teck or Westmoreland Coal

step 3: apply to the school online. I recommend applying to multiple schools in case your ideal school doesn't admit you

Laurentian is good for the hard rock industry, and if you get employed it will most likely be at a hard rock mine in Sudbury or other parts of Ontario. How likely you'll land a job depends on what previous job experiences you have, and if you plan on doing any co-ops

Teck is a big coal company, but also try conuma, westmoreland. For metal mines, try glencore, rio into, and try using Indeed.com and LinkedIn to find job postings

Yes you can apply for masters, and masters is the better choice of the two. Work experience is always better to have. Mining is not too difficult to study. If you did mech, you can do mining
