Yes, Jessi does have plastic surgery, she's actually very open about it.
Jessi is basically the noona/unnie of the industry, a lot of 3rd generation and 4th generation Kpop idols looks up to her.
Jessi is Korean-American, she was born in New York and was raised in New Jersey. She moved to Korea at the age of 15 and debuted in 2005 as a soloist at the age of 16. In 2006, she became a vocalist for the Hip Hop group Uptown for their comeback album, Testimony. When she first debuted, she wasn't big at all, and she went through many hardships. In 2009, she moved back to the United States after initially deciding to give up on her dream, but returned to Korea in 2014. When she returned, she debuted as a part of the Hip Hop trio, Lucky J, but they disbanded in 2016. In 2015, Jessi participated in the Rap competition show, Unpretty Rapstar and placed 2nd (at this point, she was still considered a vocalist). In 2019, Jessi was the first artist to be signed under P Nation, a new record label and entertainment agency created by Psy, mostly known as the guy who sang Gangnam Style.
I love her so much! She has a strong personality but she is very soft hearted too, she spent about 13 years in the industry or more she definitely deserves this and more
Jessi is actually really proud of the work she's done on her body. While you might feel that her movements and clothing exploit her or are simply to sexualize the video, Jessi has said herself on many occasions that she just wants to show off her love for herself. Why pay so much money to work on your body if you're just gonna hide it or be ashamed of it? So she's never afraid to talk about her surgeries or wear clothing that accentuates them.
P.S.
Noona (or nuna in Nunu Nana) is how males address close older females (sisters, friends, or girlfriends). In many of her songs, she calls herself noona, which could also just signify her dominant personality over men, even if the man is older.
Jessi actually said that her first agency pushed her do to her nose and eyes, and that she cried when she saw the results because she did not like it...For her body it was after maybe it was her choice a way to stand out because it's very different from the K beauty standard ( the big boobs and booty).
@@nad0862 I know, but I didn't mention the initial intentions for the surgeries for this reason. Which ones exactly were forced and which ones were her decision, we don't know exactly and it's to Jessi's discretion, but we should respect her present self's consistent declarations that she loves herself and will not be shamed into hiding her body.
It's ok she talks about it all the time she has surgery on face, butt (possibly) and boobs. Jessi don't give a damn people try to being her down for it but she loves it and shrugs the hate off. She's one of kind and actually from the US. Jersey and New York so you see where the attitude comes from. Her vocals are so good and so is her rapping. She's iconic from unpretty rapstar. You'd laugh at some compilations of her from that show or from her many other variety show appearances and her own show Showterview. She's the variety show queen and she's hilarious! She's acting saying a lot more than you think in her songs you just don't know enough to get the inside jokes. Don't get me wrong it's definitely a light hearted party song but some parts are deeper and shows the ass and boobs bc of the hate she gets on them being fake but also bc she payed for them so why not show them 🤣🤣 she knows what she's doing!
She never said she had butt surgery. She had her eyes and nose done because her old agency told her too and she got her boobs done because she wanted. That’s all she’s said she’s had done.

She is proud of her surgery and talks open about it but whether she confirmed her bbl or not she got one done look at her before then look at Nunu Nana. Come on now don't be ridiculous. I do appreciate the fact that her agency told her to originally get the surgery and she didn't like it at first and has now removed her facial fillers as well but the doesn't change my comment. She is very open about talking about it and she has gotten hate for it in the past. Sometime after getting her boobs done she definitely got her butt done as well though
@@tracisr I didn’t say she didn’t get a bbl. I just said what she has confirmed she got done. She actually talked about her butt and said that she hit the gym a lot and worked hard to get her ass looking the way it does. Now, she is normally very open about what she has and hasn’t gotten done, so I would assume she would have said she got a bbl when she was asked about it, but hey maybe she just didn’t feel like saying it. I don’t know, all I know is what she has confirmed lol. That’s all I’m saying.

Who knows her reasons for not saying it but the gym can't do that and leave them legs still that skinny. She do be in that gym though I see her!!!

In NunuNana, Lee Hyori, the girl at the end, she is/ was THE star of kpop, she's over 40 yo but looks and moves like 15 yo. You should check her songs, she's one of the first Korean artists females to embrace strong/girl crush image, instead of cute feminine submissive concept known in South Korea.
Jessi is A QUEEN. She's Real, honest, takes no shit and calls out hypocrite and fake people. Yes she got plastic surgery and she's vocal about it and vocal about how now that she's more mature she (don't regret it but) would have liked thinking more about that decision before going for it.
I might not be a huge fan of her music, though coldblooded is one my favorite songs now, and im not hot on too sexualized MVs which is to my humble opinion just a projection of the over stimulated society that we live in, I still appreciate her personae, what she stands for and her personality in general. She's a SWEETHEART, so soft and delicate and emotional on the inside, though she shows she's the opposite. She's one of a kind and idols/entertainers/actors, everyone in the Korean entertainement industry, especially younger generations, look up to her and love her and show her a lot of respect, as everyone should.

I just love how confident Jessi is, and actually she does show her body because she's proud of it and she likes to do that, and to do that in Korea is AMAZING.

I get what you mean about objectification in media. But I think context and who makes the decision makes all the difference. You probably know already that K-media is very conservative. Jessi is actually subverting that dated opinion that someone's value or talent is immediately diminished by being sensual, sexual, confident, provocative. She loves her body, she is not ashamed to admit she has had surgery and she loves to flaunt her goods. Her company gives her a lot of freedom, if anything, they ask her to be "herself but a bit less naughty" she has said.

Jessi has been in the industry for a while...she is from New Jersey, and moved to Korea at age 15 to get into kpop with singing...she had a rough start, not really wanting to be molded by the Korean standard, she being Korean mixed herself, she found it difficult to learn the Korean language at first...people saw her as too American, with her accent and bold way of talking..so she worked hard to find her style, with influences of western rap or hiphop...many said that she did not look like the beauty standards of a Korean female artist...so she did the opposite and did her lips, boobs, and flaunts her body because people hated it in the conservative Korean culture...and because she takes herself to the extreme, touching herself or exposing lots of skin and cleavage...she got more haters. But she has a great voice for singing, and found her style with rap...and her raspy, distinct voice. If you've heard of Psy and "Gangnam Style"...his company PNation, signed her on so she could do her thing how she likes...much like Psy himself, and like JYP, they are unapologetic for their sometimes sexist music...hey, they love women...and Psy loved Jessi...so here we are..Jessi is doing her thing, and I'm here for it.💙🌺
yes jessi had double eye surgery and nose done, the older company told her to do it. she also had breast augmentation surgery. she talked about it.
