I wish they made the replica wands out of real wood instead of resin. I have a non-replica wand made out of purpleheart and wych elm that feels more authentic than resin.
13:48 I personally stack them on a shelf so it kinda looks like the inside of the Ollivander shop, but my my boxes doesn’t have the name the front, that probably, makes the deal.
I’m really enjoying all of the new graphics you’ve been adding into the videos this year. I was cracking up with your calculations moment. For me personally the Barnes and noble wands work best. I don’t have a lot of area to display wands so being able to just take them out of the book and place them in front of my books are great. What I also like about it is that you can use Barnes and noble gift cards to purchase them and also if you are a member, I’m pretty sure the 10% off works as well
Unfortunately, I felt rather shoehorned into getting an over-priced wand from Universal. Noble Collection only sells Bellatrix’s original wand with a wall display-no box-and I have no desire to mount anything on my walls. And, frankly, wand boxes feel more ‘authentic’. So Universal was my only option. Then a coworker got me Bellatrix’s second wand as a birthday gift from NC, which comes in the standard box. And more recently, I got Leta’s wand in the collector’s box, which is my preferred option. Now I have three different Lestrange wands in three different boxes and the lack of uniformity is driving me nuts.
That’s hilarious, I’m in the same boat but it really doesn’t bother me so much. Think about all the different boxes that the wands come in the wizarding world. You could just pretend that’s the case and once you start getting more wands it won’t be as bad
I learned how to make my own wand boxes that actually look exactly like Noble collections I checked out the video series on RUclips have a man who makes boxes for a living and he also does bookbinding which is awesome and I learned how to make a box and then I just measured the regular boxes and used if cardboard which is like solid cardboard or paperboard and it's not too hard but it's fun
Another excellent video, Kivox! I love these humorous editing moments you've been adding lately. It's great. I laughed like a hyena when you were "calculating" the results and printed out your notebook. 🤣 I'd love to see more wizardy type moments. Love when you apparate in and out. Maybe cast a spell or two? Like using Accio to summon something from off screen? Do a little Wingardium Leviosa to "levitate" one of your new wands off the table and show us? I know you're smart enough to figure out how. I've come up with a few for my own HP channel I've wanted to start but have been too afraid to actually do. You're one of my top 3 all-time favorite RUclipsrs, and that's no joke my good man. Keep it up!
My Albus dumbledore wand from universal Orlando came in the box like the orange one (inside with felt lining and fabric overlay) so they have gotten more a noble wands look! I also get a noble wands sent to me for $20pounds per month which for an Australian is easier as we don’t really have wands available to purchase so a mystery wand a month is good (also get some with loot crate and geekgear)
The noble ones that you were speaking of are not actually made by noble collection, It’s just that geek gear started calling their wand box “noble wands” so that they trick people into buying them thinking that they’re from and Noble collection
Kivox my friend you do have an eye for design and a great eye for display literally I couldn't agree any more with you than I am now with everything you said in this video great job
Having wands from all three Universal Wizarding World Parks (Orlando, Los Angeles, Osaka), All of the wand boxes are the same from park to park. The Japanese boxes are even in english, except for the interactive wand map. One side of the map is Japanese and one side is in English. Also of note, the interactive wand boxes have a shiny/metallic Ollivander's stickers, where as the non-interactive wand have just a plain printed Ollivander's sticker. And usually the interactive wand boxes are larger compared to the same non-interactive wand.
If a collector displays them flat instead of stacked like I do a tip you can do to make it look better if you have a cheap looking box you can make the display look so much better by putting the bottom in the lid like you suggested then remove the plastic insert, get a nice looking fabric remnant which usally does not cost that much put that in the box then Nestle the wand in that.
Thanks for the informative vid! I usually get a wand each time I go to Universal (once a year), but ultimately found out just recently that they're actually getting rid of the non-interactive wands (like the one you showed in this video) in favor of the interactive ones. Which is a shame, because the non-interactive wands feel a lot more heavier/premium than the interactive ones. Wanted to continue building my collection, and your video helped me make my decision to buy them from the Noble Collection instead. Thanks!
The 10 or 4 free wand display from Nobel Collection is not automatic. When ordering you have to select the specific option (ie 10 wands with free wand display) and only the character wands (the wands with the name tag and oval name sticker) are eligible.
i display them closed up in the box and set on the shelf, just like they would be at a wand shop.... the fun part of wands is opening them up moving the little scarf over and getting it out....
I bought my first wand back at Universal Studios in Hollywood in 2015. The trip was my brother's graduation gift for me and I ended up getting the Alder wand which was a "Death Eater Skull" wand. This quarantine is making me look into wands again lol. Ended up ordering online the 2019 Collector's Edition Wand from Universal Studios from ebay. Was it pricey? Yes. Did I slap my wrist from buying it? Yes. Do I regret it? No...ish hahaha
Thank you for this, I have the noble collectors albus dumbledore's wand for my birthday last week that I bought and I slant the box with the wand inside the lid at a angle to show the wand at a angle but safe enough to know it will not fall over. I love the wand(s) as they are worth it for any harry potter fan or fantastic beasts lol. I find the open plastic box is made more for children and the other ones for more older people in my opinion if you understand. Enough from me, I love your vids even tho this one is 1 year old. Still good.👍
Great video! Draco is my favorite character, so I bought the collector box version from the Noble Collection. Sirius Black's wand is my favorite design; however, I went with Barnes & Noble.
There is actually a guy that sells noble collection wanda but without boxes and I have bought all my wands from him cause what I do is buy wand boxes off etsy that has the Ollivanders logo on it so that it looks more wizarding world accuracte as opposed to the ones that have the harry potter or FB logos on them. You can even put the wood and core on the sides
Thank you for this! I don't have many wands thus far but has been irking me that my first wand (Sirius) from the HP exhibit in NYC (the collectors box) and the ones that I got in Universal looked different. I thought they just stopped production of the collector boxes! I know its just a box but the collectors box lends to the authenticity for me so I'll be exclusively purchasing those from now on!
Hey, so, they are all made by Noble, but the Wizarding World (and the Studio Tour in London) have some kind of ‘Souvenir Boxes’. About the Fantastic Beasts logo on the box, Noble has now amended it, so it doesn’t have anymore the title, they all look like the yellow Dumbledore one... also, only the FB wands have the characters name on the box, the Ollivander’s wands for the original movies, don’t have any type of identification, which I agree with you, looks cooler!!!! ;)
This is an excellent video, thanks for sharing your expertise and advice. I personally like the Noble Collection display box because it’s a the fanciest one. And it’s good to know that, not surprisingly, the theme park version is the most expensive. Love all your vids, keep them coming!
To anyone who collects wands - when comparing a wand from Noble Collection to a wand from Barnes and Noble, would you you say that there's a difference in quality of the wand itself? I'm looking to get a wand to carry around when I visit the theme parks but I feel like nearly $50 is a bit of a stretch in terms of pricing. I'd much rather get a wand for a cheaper price, but if I had to sacrifice quality for that, then I'll buy it elsewhere.
Hickory with that too why would you put a name on the box at the wand chooses the wizard? You are absolutely correct I agree with that I'm glad somebody else said that LOL I've been thinking that for a long time
Actually, the Olivander’s box isn’t the “Collector’s box.” And the “Standard box” is the Collector’s box. And the window box is also called the standard box.
I agree so much with you I think that the logo in the middle of the Fantastic Beasts box is ugly I think they should have just left the gold trim around it and that is it that was awesome of you to point that out though
Thanks for this! Have always been wondering if the wands themselves would be poor quality... I love the original Olivanders boxes most though. I wish they would have the name tag on one side and a neutral sticker on the other side... But ah well... You can't have everything I guess... I want to make my own display for the wands and the boxes I will keep as seperate decoration. Love them! (p.s. Not sure when I'll start making the display, but it'll be featured as a DIY tutorial on my channel... So if anyone wants to do the same, keep an eye on it! ;)
Okay I’ve been really thinking about this for a while. I’ve been really wanting the Elder Wand because it just looks so cool! I love Harry Potter and I want to get one from Barnes & Noble/Noble Collection. However, they are just very expensive for what they are themselves should I get one!?? Advice anyone?
Huge Fan, I am currently making a wand box, so of course I have seen your wand box video, I would just like to point out, your hilarious in that video by the way you have to have it perfect, I agree at 5:49
Hi! I have a quick question. Where online do you buy the COLLECTORS BOX WANDS? With the really nice packaging and piece of cloth material inside? I was going to purchase from Amazon but people were saying they didn't get the collector's box. Just curious where online you purchase all your wands. Thanks!
not all wands come in the collectors and amazing has it here's one with the collectors box amzn.to/31KHuQr, it looks like noble mostly sells the collectors boxes on amazon but usually if it's 32.50 then its the normal box and the 37.50 are the collectors. also it shows the box in the image, just make sure the seller is noble collection if your going to get it from amazon. but the remember the collector boxes are limited to only some wands. hope that helped 👍😁

What the box looks like is all mute if you are going to display them together and not in their boxes. There are some people that just put them on shelves alone to display them. Then is not really matter what the box is like.
That’s 100% true, but it looks so good it the box. This video is for those who like the boxes and would like to display them together. Otherwise you get the cheapest version if you just want the wand
@@KivoxEnder - I have gotten only a few from Noble Collection so far. Starting off slow since they can add up fast. I do have a set of the Series 1 and 2 Mystery Wands from Walmart to use if I wanted to cosplay or something. I need to decide how I want to display them. Having a Noble Collection box to show off with the wand? Or just the wand itself. (And find room for my growing collection)
The universal wands are made by noble collection, so they are the same minus the boxes. Also I believe universal is the one please you can get the interactive wands but they are also made by noble
Why the universal is more expensive it's cus universal has the new interactive wand so the wands are more expensive and the wand is the one making it more expensive plus they don't sell boxes individually without the wand atleast I think so. So u can still kinda make ur money worth in universal cus u can cast spells when ur in the park with the interactive wand but ur wand that u showed from universal was not interactive so It was less expensive than the interactive.

I have 2 snape wands. One from Barnes and nobles to play with and the other from the actual noble collection website to display in the box

I bought a wand from universal from olivanders with the interactive tip and it looks way more detailed compared to the regular noble collection one
I greatly disagree, I think the details are the same but the interactives have an ugly tip and feel more like a toy
@@KivoxEnder - And cost more.
The interactive one is so shit
This is the first time I heat about the free display case if you order 4 or 10 wands? Is this the case (no pun intended) for Europe as well?
Are all the wands made out of resin?
I believe some have metal core not sure what ones do or don't tho being trying find out but not finding much on what are or not id love to know
Finally, the wands topic is back! 😍
I’d may have been willing to pay 80 for dumbledores original wand
