Darkside Turbo Upgrade
Darkside DPF Delete Pipe
Done well only has a panel filter, bigger turbo and a full exhaust 💪🏼
She did well mate
Decent numbers considering you was first talking around 200bhp, seeing an extra 20 was a surprise.
Interesting comments about darkside, I wonder if it’s more a case of their own upgraded thrust bearings and specific design compressor wheel in the CR170 housing etc to give them their spin on it.
Either way, looks like a quality unit and produced the numbers they claim 👏🏼
They claim 195-205hp smoke free, definitely curious if it is a cr170 unit but either way it has performed every well!
Very impressive 214hp 394nm bolt on cr170 turbo? No mods? So a cr140 should make 170-180 ish 340nm
This has a darkside turbo upgrade, which I believe to be a CR170 unit (judging by performance etc) dpf delete pipe, exhaust and panel filter (previous owner has commented below who installed the mods)
You couldn’t make this power if it was stock with just the turbo bolted on.
@@actuning i have a cr140 2.0 tdi what can you recommend
It all depends on how much power you are hoping to make. For this kind of power a DPF delete pipe, panel filter and CR170 turbo will see you right. Ideally an intercooler upgrade too as this was tuned on a cold day but we were seeing intake temps nearly 30 degrees above ambient.
If you want more power than this I would recommend either a CR170 hybrid or Darkside offer some nice turbo kits.
@@actuning is the dpf delete mot failure and what could i get out of cr140 safely and keep the dpf in
@@roystonhughes3278 Current mot legislation states that if a cat or dpf is missing it is a fail.
A lot of people gut the canister so it appears stock and providing the car passes a smoke test / the dpf hasn’t visibly been tampered with it should pass.
If you are looking to tune with the DPF still in place I would say around 180/185hp 380Nm give or take.
Bear in mind this car is on a stock clutch and flywheel so we have capped torque and boost.
