- For the first time two of the world's best graphic novelists, Joe Sacco and Chris Ware, appeared together on stage to discuss life as a cartoonists. Sacco uses his art to capture the realities of global political upheaval; Ware creates understated fictions on suburbia. Both are united by the unique art form of graphic novels. In this event, chaired by Teddy Jamieson, they discuss the brilliance in bringing together word and image on the page. Recorded live at the 2013 Edinburgh International Book Festival.

Brilliant insight into these two very interesting and intelligent illustrator's work.
I have the highest regard for their work, and this was really great to be able to see Joe Sacco and Chris Ware talk like this. Masters of the comics craft! Thank you!

Chris Ware gives genuine heartfelt answer, Interviewer nods and grunts and points the mic at the other mouth.
I spoke to the tech staff afterwards; the main problem was Chris speaking too quietly for the mics to pick him up!
read jimmy Corrigan for the first time last night.
it'd be neat to some more expanse upon that storyline.
