Senior's anger and rage destroyed once flourishing bike business, if somehow they all are still together, who knows how higher would have been company right now. They had everything... tools, machines and talented crew.
Lmao, you must have never ridden a motorcycle. Because what actually happened was that the chopper fad ended. People quit buying from all of them. Out of over 40 companies that were building choppers, only 3 or 4 are left, and OCC is one of them. OCC was the lowest quality and the most expensive, and they are still around simply because of the TV show. Did you see the first two pilots of the show? They did bad and the reason was that Sr wasn’t being the character we all know. Without the drama, there would have been no show. And without a show, no one would have bought their bikes and the shop wouldn’t exist today. So, Paul Sr raging is the only reason the shop still exists. Now, had that been just for the cameras instead of all the time, then the family might get along better and be better off today. But they wouldn’t have gotten nearly as far had Sr not acted the way he did on camera.
True many many companies suddenly sprouted building copycats, with ridiculous frame geometry and rear tires but even today we still see someone comes with a real nice clean and rideable chopper maybe once in awhile, and this is what occ needed. Build a rideable bike.
@@redfalconnutrition700 OCC wasn’t the original. They weren’t even the original of the “modern” chopper builders. And some actually had very good geometry and rodeo great, just not from OCC. You would be surprised how well some of them will handle even when stretched. It’s all about doing the math and getting the geometry right. Ironhorse choppers made some great bikes but had a bad computer for the bike. BigDog was the same way, bad electronics ruined a decent bike. Rewire them and the problem is solved though. Remember, Jesse James started the chopper fad before the Tuttles were on tv. By over a decade if I remember correctly. And Paul Sr came from an old school chopper background where he didn’t know much about the modern, wide rear tire bikes. Personally, I think Sr’s original bikes were their best stuff from a quality aspect, but you didn’t see those on the show. All that just to say that OCC was a copycat company. Rick Fairless/Strokers Dallas was a bar, restaurant, bike dealer and chopper builder since the 70’s. And there have been dozens of chopper shops on the west coast that had a bar with food dating back to the 60’s or earlier. There is nothing new about choppers.
Mike and Vin, why does all the real motorcycle community say they would never own a OCC death machine? They say you built bikes that only look good, but are garbage. I have heard people from Jay Leno to a couple of retired Hells Angels say it’s complete garbage.
It wasn’t just OCC that built garbage, the entire industry built garbage. That’s why it died out. It seemed so cool at the time , then common sense kicks in. My buddy got caught up in it, spent over 30 grand and has unridable POS that’s been sitting in his shed for over a decade.
Sr had no tolerance for anything. Hell, he didn't even have a tolerance for himself. I watch Jr. build bikes from his head and Sr like everything Jr and Vinny did but bitch about thing that weren't important making the working environment hell
Vin looks so much like his dad...😢
I'm a Vin myself. He was the best technician they had.vinnie could do it all. I really liked that show.
You guys had a great run together, hope life is treating you well
What was sad, is that Paul Senior should have made sure his sons out shown him by helping them to do so and instead he tried to crush them.
Just think of where OCC started that show, and where it ended. SR didn't care about anyone but himself. How many long-time employees did we see leave?

I think they were more like art rather than a good driving mc
They built theme bikes for display purposes funded by big companies, and the bikes sure served that purpose well.
They built show crapp, not riders
