Very timely video! I was about to take on all of the Scenarios from Marine Mania and being made familiar with how shows work ahead of time honestly made them seem like a joke! As a side note, I like how you deliver info in this one - you made it easy to follow-along if I want to replicate things in the future.
Loved the video! Thank you for the guide. :) When I was testing out a sea otter show, I noticed that every time the marine specialist fed them a little fish after one of their tricks, it actually filled up a small chunk of their hunger. Not a lot, but enough to keep them from going hungry during a show. I think it's a nice detail and smart thinking from the developers. :>
It does fill it up a bit, which is a nice detail. I didn't mention it in the video since the buff is really small and of little consequence to the overall strategy, but it is cool to know
I personally will always prefer to make multiple species use one show tank. That way it alternates between which one puts up a show the next it hits the time. The animals have significantly more time to do their things in their exhibit.
That is a valid way to play, and it can work, but you do end up having to build your zoo in a somewhat specific way due to how guests congregate over time. Having multiple shows allows you to spread them more evenly throughout the zoo. Besides, I didn't want to spend 20 minutes detailing how to make a specific strategy work when the general tutorial was already 40 minutes lol. Better saved for a future video
How many spaces of water do you have on the other side? Boats require more space than you think. I usually try to make sure there at least 3 spaces of water on the far side of the building
I read that it’s bugged that the guest after a show just go home. I put in a show and it tanked my avg guest count really low. I’m only half way through the vid but haven’t seen you address it just yet.
Sorry for the late response. I'm not sure what bug you are referring to. As you can see in the video a large number of guests leaving the show went to the restaurants rather than to the zoo gate. I will say, the more stuff other than a show there is in the zoo the less likely they are to think they've seen everything in the zoo and head for the exit. Perhaps you're getting this by trying to build a show at the start of the zoo rather than after you've built up a bit?
Good explication in the all fields. This are as secrets for do spectaculs .However you should aument the entrance in the zoo when there are a lot people because when there are more people is hard hold the satisfaction in the costumers however you records are cool.
Sorry for the late response. It is a mod from the website Zoo Tek Phoenix. If youtube wasn't allergic to links being in comments sections I'd provide one, but a google search should do the trick. Once there you can make an account and head over to their downloads section. There are TONS of mods there. To clarify how this one works, it isn't an actual bridge. It is elevated ground with a path on it and an exhibit on either side. This is just a wall texture that can be applied to the dirt cliffs to create the illusion of a bridge. Most bridge mods do some sort of trick like this to get around the limitations in the game
There's no show menu when I click on the ladder of the show tank, idk if I'm doing something wrong. I have the Orcas in a tank, the show tank is connected and they've learned a trick but I can't get that menu :/
@@saurillian It was using the show tank walls, but I couldn't get the menu to open. To be fair, I haven't bought the game, just download it andmaybe some things might not work properly??? Like, maintenance workers don't do anything either, so maybe this is another bug like that
Well, another thing I'm wondering. I know you said the tanks are connected, but are they level with each other? If not there won't be a portal between them and you might only get the exhibit window
Im playing zoo tycoon 2 with the marine mania and dino digs bundle and i CANNOT find the water tanks i was hoping youd show me where they are but your menus different from mine 😫
They should be in the fences tab under either the 'Marine Mania' or 'All' filters. If they aren't there, something went wrong during the installation of your game
There's several possibilities. If you have other marine tanks, it's possible the marine specialist is too busy with the other tanks. It could also be a thing where they are assigned to another tank but not the dolphins; once assigned somewhere they will never go anywhere but where they're assigned. Could also be a case where you have a show and it's lasting too long so the dolphins are getting hungry before they can go back to their tank. Perhaps you have too many dolphins and the marine specialist just can't keep up. As I said, there are several possibilities
@@saurillian I have only 1 tank with 5 dolphins and 1 marine specialist. I try to hire more marine specialist and drop them into the tank. But it's not work, only 1 guy feeds and performs the dolphins, the others climb down and walk around
Sorry for the late response. To attract people to your zoo you generally want exhibits with happy animals, attractions (carousel, dinosaur cinema, etc), and plenty of amenities (food, drink ,restroom, etc). Missing any of these things will lead to guests being unhappy which makes them leave your zoo. Zoo price also affects how fast guests generate. $19-$29 is the optimal range for guest generation and revenue. Any lower does not generate additional guests unless it's completely free, but that crashes your economy especially in the early game. Any higher and guest generation starts taking a hit. May not be a bad idea to put your zoo marketing at maximum too since that also increases how fast guests generate

Thanks! That's exactly what I was hoping to achieve, I'm glad I pulled it off. Best of luck completing those scenarios

How do you get the boat rental buildings to work? I tried placing them in freeform near a river and had a path to the entrance but no one enters it

I have it on disc, but you can download if from myabandonware.com

@duyanhtran2609 Yeah, that's why. Shows need to be set to infrequent or else they cause problems
My show tank bottle nose dolphin cant do advanced tricks and i dont know why
You have to research advanced tricks before they can do them
Bro how you win at this game ‽
