Lutan Fyah is roots, he's referring to the dancehall as a place here. Really enjoying your reggae journey! Never sure if you like suggestions but I am going to give you a couple of reggae ones you might like anyway! Chronixx - Safe and Sound/Dela move. He also did a collab with Little Simz called Wounds, and with Black Thought/Salaam Remi called Afrikan Children. But the tracks I mentioned first I like the best. Totally agree about how the music makes you feeeel!

Its good to see more Blacks in America connecting to aspects of culture that have been lost to time.
He's bearing witness to many of the elements thst influenced the culture thst hes currently a part of.
And yes, music is indeed supposed to uplift your spirit. Thats something thats completely missing from American music.
Notice how completely different you feel with this, as opposed to listening to rap music.

It’s difficult to understand coz he is singing in Jamaican patois…definition
“Jamaica's official language is English, but we also speak Jamaican or Patois (or Patwa) - a colorful, descriptive and emphatic creole dialect that has been shaped by our African, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English colonial heritage.”

    • @nicolov827

It has, nothing to do with French or Portuguese

The chalice is a sacramental vessel used in Rastafari Nyabinghi rituals to smoke ganja. It’s usually made of all natural materials to represent oneness with the nature that gave us this beautiful plant. They use coals from a fire to light the massive bowls and it’s a powerful experience that really hits you in the chest but it feels like it goes straight to your soul.

Reggae style = R&B socially or politically charged.

There all reggae/dancehall that you’ve reacted to bro, the main difference is reggae is usually at a way slower tempo and the beats are more or on the original instruments like drums guitars and so, you also have different types of reggae like DUB where they started to mix drum beats with moderner technology to remix songs, which led to sound clashes where people would get a song actually DUBbed by the artist themselves and in one of the lyrics would merge there name in ( surprise them surprise them realise kso’s a little lion them a realise, example for you), dancehall is the pop version and is more up tempo and designed for the younger generation and more for the party vibe, the lyrics can be so much more wild wether there sexual lyrics violent where as reggae tends to be very loving and warm. Sure people can touch up on some detail

A sound a get one in di head
If him ever try step to I
Sound boy a try a die, hey
Dem a get one in di head
If a sound try step to I
Don’t try a die, sound boy
He switched it up throughout l, but I think those were the words you paused for at the end.
His lyrics here were cold, talking about left a cutlass in his head and a ice pick broke off in his neck
