I have never stayed at a Vegas hotel room, but I find this Aria place to be completely unacceptable. What exactly are you paying for with that $900? Who in their right mind would stay there? If I were Mikey, I'd leave a nasty review on TripAdvisor, and warn all of my contacts not to go there.
Nope - I don't know of any hotels that offer free meals for the high price rooms at that level. The irony is free continental breakfast tend to be found at cheaper hotels and motels. Yea I've heard people are underwhelmed by the Aria. If you don't want a casino, I hear the Vdara right next to the Aria is more enjoyable and cheaper. Also the Aria is more of an expensive/high roller casino so it's hard to get comps unless you bet a large amount every hand
Even if you somehow forget the insane prices at this Aria hotel, the customer experience is a living hell from start to finish. What a horrific business. 🤦♂️

Yes Aria should have checked...but problem was the staff on duty wouldn't lose or gain a cent with losing Mike+3m potential customers. That's why bosses should always treat their staff well if they want the customers to be well treated. This is the most basic but crucial point of managing a business.
Aria should really be informing guests at least an hour before check-in time to give an estimate on when the room will be ready. Holding high-paying guests hostage and unaware is not acceptable customer service. I'm surprised the front desk didn't offer him any compensation or apology. It's like saying their time isn't worth anything. Need more staff or lessen the number of room available to be ready for that day. Dishonest practice, feels just like how airlines overbook their flights how hotels overestimate their staff capabilities to make more money and take advantage of customers.
Staying in many luxury hotels myself, everything described with the check in is unacceptable and should result in a discount. All top hotels are meant to have impeccable service which is one of the main reasons behind the high price.

@@fmtoussant Yeah, after they ignored to alert him whether his room is ready or not, caused him to wait for hours! It seems the hospitality level in Vegas is falling, whether it caused by COVID or not, I'm not so sure. But sure is a dissapointing one.
It's because he arrived on a Ford focus
I was Director of Rooms Ops at a 600 room hotel for many years and having all rooms ready by 3 p.m. was a must. And sometimes it happened that one, two or three rooms were not ready for good reasons, such as technical problems or extra cleaning for reasons that you do not want to know, but keeping so many guests waiting so long, without compensation, it does not work!
I have never stayed at a Vegas hotel room, but I find this Aria place to be completely unacceptable. Nearly a grand for a single night with no room service included, every amenity is literally a money trap, bland food that is outrageously overpriced, and they steal your money by forcing you to spend hours waiting for your room to be cleaned. What exactly are you paying for with that $900? Who in their right mind would stay there? If I were Mikey, I'd leave a nasty review on TripAdvisor, and warn all of my contacts not to go there.
hell yeah that sound like a scam waiting for room that long
I mean, he did leave an honest video review broadcast to 3M+ subscribers, so there's that.
By the time your room's ready..pool closing😳oh hell no😤
I sense this is run by democrats.
I guess each and everyone that watched this won’t stay there
I stayed at ARIA about a week after you posted this and my room wasn't ready until 1030pm
Tell me they gave you some comps
@@chuckontal9962 I wish, all I got was a sorry we’re short staffed
For 900$ I would expect a free minibar and room service, including meals.
Valet parking should be included too. As someone above asked, what exactly are you getting for that high price?
Nope - I don't know of any hotels that offer free meals for the high price rooms at that level. The irony is free continental breakfast tend to be found at cheaper hotels and motels. Same with minibar - maybe for comp rooms for whales, but even those are disappearing these days except for top whales - although maybe that has changed with Covid
@@jamesrawlins735 just means quality everywhere is dropping hard. Businesses will do ANYTHING to make an extra buck.
BRUH🤣, thats the GTA casino penthouse
@@jamesrawlins735 that’s not true. I stay at the Venetian every time now. You get $50 compd meals with the high end suites. And free valet.
I also check in around 9-10am and check out at 2pm each time :)
Dear Aria: More than 443,000 viewers (so far) have seen how shabbily you treat your guests. And they are displeased. Might be something to bring up in that next staff meeting.
600k now, and we all hating Aria that's for sure
762K people and counting and I will not be staying at Aria if this is the last hotel in Vegas
800K at this point, I'm staying away, and I was considering going to Vegas later this year. And Mikey is so easy going, to piss him off seems VERY difficult.

Usually it means there is bad management at Aria, whoever is in charge is incompetent.
I hope you made this video to educate us to NOT stay at this hotel.
I mean, mikey is too nice to blast hotels off like that. Any longtime fans of mikey know that you have to read between the lines and subtle clues. He shares everybody his experience and its up to you to make the decision.
This comment section is practically filled with people who criticize that hotel. And I agree with them too.
@@jong9379 Yeah Aria made themselves look bad entirely on their own.
I love the fact that you know where to get dumplings or noodles in whatever state you're in. Knowledge is power!!
Striking the Aria from my list of where to stay next time I'm there. Room is the least important thing in Vegas. I want comped food so I feel better about how much I've lost on the casino floor and somewhere to lay my head for 2 hours.
Till 3 crack heads steal ur car lmao
Las Vegas is on my to do list but will definitely avoid this hotel too.
Yea I've heard people are underwhelmed by the Aria. If you don't want a casino, I hear the Vdara right next to the Aria is more enjoyable and cheaper.
Also the Aria is more of an expensive/high roller casino so it's hard to get comps unless you bet a large amount every hand
Idk if i missed something but why did Mikey book this hotel?
You Lucky you get vacation and have money. In my World this only a Dream.
You Bring ME JOY!!! Watching you eat this yummy food at 2 0clock in the morning just gives me joy! Love ya Mike!
The venetian is my favorite hotel in all of Vegas, all around great. Price, food, atmosphere, and shopping.
Even if you somehow forget the insane prices at this Aria hotel, the customer experience is a living hell from start to finish. What a horrific business. 🤦♂️
good job aria treating a youtuber with millions of international subscribers staying at one of your most expensive suites like that. not going to affect your business or anything.
I Michael Chen or Mikey Chen is such a common name that no check in system can catch him as a famous critic. So he's always getting to see real hotels how they really are.
I just choked on my dollar store Pringles seeing that $14 price tag for the mini bar 😳
And that was for the small little pringles tin!
Loved that you pointed out your Fiji water was from Walgreens. Great video as always Mikey!
Waiting hours AFTER check-in time, when you have PAID for that time in a suite, is disgusting! And they didn't discount it or give you anything to compensate for you having to wander around for hours....at those prices!! I would be pissed off from the beginning. And all those other people having the same issue also.......would lead me to never wanting to book at the Aria...ever. And don't get me started on the water robbery!
Perfect timing once again.
Time to cast this on the TV.
Always cast it on the TV, it's a must👍
$16 for a snickers bar should be a crime

I LOVE your reviews of restaurants on the strip ! Please keep making them ! Most of us don’t have cars when we go to Vegas so I think I speak for a lot when I say, we appreciate !!
That is quite literally some of the most overpriced food I've seen in a while.
nobody is paying for the actual food, they are paying for the convenience, why go walk around looking for snacks instead of partying vegas style as a king or queen should be
@@robertha just stop by 7-11 or cvs lol
It's just expensive because members usually get an "allowance" from the hotel to spend on food/entertainment. Most people don't actually pay that price.
The Aria is the most impersonal hotel on the Strip. I've stay there once and it literally feels like it was designed by an A.I. No personality whatsoever.
I hope you get some serious apologies from Aria

My cousin and I went to Wal-Mart before we left for Las Vegas lol and I got M&Ms at a candy shop before leaving lol it was a melted mess had to throw it away, but there was a Walgreens there ibVegas next to the Venetian I was blown away honestly it was my first time there and we took advantage of it in Las Vegas anyways I had a lot of fun, we went to the whynn, pallazzo, in and out burger, and circus circus and many other Casinos too and one close to the Hoover dam where it's free bottomless sodas.
DTF and other chains like Paradise Dynasty are always priced higher than the smaller Mom & Pop or independent dumpling restaurants. DTF tends to be inconsistent at locations outside of Asian/Chinese communities like Century City and Glendale in the Los Angeles area.
It's 6am here and still locked down, but mind is free when watching Mike's videos. Stuck in room but knowing that the world is starting moving ahead gives me hope. Thanks, Mikey! 😀
I’m in isolation away from my family and eating meals alone was a bit sad. But watching Mikey eat at the same time as me makes it a lot better. ☺️
Lol. I wouldve taken drinks from the lounge and brought it up to the room. NO WAY I'm paying $14 for soda.
I’m so glad you made this review because I almost booked a room there! Beautiful room and view but terrible check in and it really didn’t give me a lot of confidence that I would be taken care of there at all!
Mikey’s timing is spot-on!!! Really enjoying all the Vegas vids!
I had initially read all the Vegan vids and thought... Oh God! I've lost Mikey!
You know what I would love to see. I think he needs to review of family experiences and take his parents on some nice vacations!:) I wanna see the high end restaurant he tries and how they care for the elderly.
That check-in wait time is unacceptable for a room coming out to almost $900 per night and forcing everyone to wait in the same area.
OMG, those dumplings look so delicious. Now you’re making me hungry. I’m definitely going to hit that place tomorrow.
Thanks so much for all the content you've been pumping out lately!!
"Aria" should have checked who was made to wait for sooo long... They just lost 3M+ customers at one go...:-)
Probably a couple hundred, definitely not 3 million. As if all the viewers could afford to blow $900 a night in a hotel room.
@@lolilollolilol7773 you underestimate the working class
Yes Aria should have checked...but problem was the staff on duty wouldn't lose or gain a cent with losing Mike+3m potential customers. Was always debating on the Din Tai Fung in Aria last trip! Thanks for uploading!
Try the Bellagio “all you can eat.”😋 It’s one of the best in Vegas.
10:06 I was going to point that out 😆🤣 saying that maybe by giving you, your room so late, that's how they get you to grab something from the mini bar
Staying in many luxury hotels myself, everything described with the check in is unacceptable and should result in a discount. All top hotels are meant to have impeccable service which is one of the main reasons behind the high price.
Im so happy to watch this after the day that I've had! Thank you Mikey!

The Venetian is definitely a better hotel
Hey Mike! It would be so cool for you to go back to Disneyland and try out the new foods they got there!!
Vegas has a shortage of hospitality workers. That's why the room wasn't ready on time. I've seen other hotel room videos and some won't allow you to bring in outside food. They charge you if you use the fridge to store outside food or drinks. Go figure!
for real ????
Wow. You think they would adjust their rates or change check in times or... I dunno, do something to compensate for that? Or make it known? Apologize for the inconvenience? Literally anything would be better than what they did... or didnt do. Woof.
I always say I have medical things i need to store in a fridge and they have to give it to you for free.
