- This is part 2 of my 2021 roadtrip across America, where I hit my 500th coaster, rode the last B&M I needed in the country, went to 4 parks in 1 day...TWICE, and made my way back home.

That ‘Airtime Thrills’ joke on Quassy was hilarious
They were probably fans Of the channel
And on tickler sponsored by theme park media
Yeah I was thunking the same thing 😂
The fact that you have 500 credits, and all of them are in the same continent is pretty crazy
Pretty impressive
@@ddavelovesallis yeah
I have over 500 credits just in the U.S., and Chris has almost caught up to me in overall credits. I passed him last year and got #500 this Spring. I still have 3 big parks to hit in the U.S., and like Chris, all my credits are in North America.
What are the 3 parks?
@@ddavelovesallis CGA, SFDK, & Lagoon. I still need Silverwood, but that's a mid size park. I've never been to any Disney parks, but they don't have much good credits anyway. I live in Michigan, so the West Coast is too far for road trips. My 150th credit was Steel Vengeance, so I went a little crazy since May 2018!
Chris is probably the only person who ever went back to a park for a Wild Mouse. Dedication at its finest.
And a wacky worm
So many moments in this video I felt so hard: comments about SFNE operations, frowning in front of Deja I MEAN Goliath, the brief showcase of the hell that is NYC driving. Can’t wait for the SFNE pro cons video because it definitely deserves it.
As a home Parker of great escape you made me proud by not going on steamin demon
The “what does it do” thing is very funny
As much of an enthusiast as I am I couldn't do this - I need a whole day at most bigger parks to really soak it all in and ride coasters multiple times. Cool watching your journey though!
For the parks we havent been to in a long time, or our first time, we tried to stay ling enough to get the full experience. The parks we had been to a bunch or recently we were more willing to pop in for a couple hours and leave. Other than kings dominon, we were way behind schedule and with traffic we had zero time there
This videos had so many great callbacks. I especially liked how it just happened to rain on the way to Carowinds and the six flags America joke was as great as it was the first time.
The first video was so happy and everything went well and then in this half, almost everything that could have gone wrong went wrong 😭!! But congrats on 500 bro!
This is so true when you play it back, week 2 was full of crowds, closures, car issues, tolls, being behind schedule..
Hey, I was the guy in the Hershey shirt that ran into you at SFGAdv before Jersey Devil opened! Thanks for being awesome and making my trip just that much better
Congratulations Chris on 500 , me being 61 we did not coaster count so God knows how many I have . But you are awesome.
Thunderbolt in the front is good! 👍🏼 The sammies at Wawa are the best thing they have! It’s a non miss when we visit the east coast!
Congratulations on 500 roller coasters! I’m also glad you liked my home park of over Georgia. TC and Goliath are amazing I hope you come back soon
*me waiting until the night to watch this so I can make popcorn and watch it in the dark*. The road trip videos definitely are the best to watch with popcorn
Congrats on 500 credits - this looked like an amazing trip!
Congrats on every B&M and RMC in America.. until dr.diabolicals cliffhanger opens 😅

im really happy that your 500th coaster was comet, this was the coaster that got me into coasters so I'm really happy about that
500 club is preeeeetty special. Congratulations! I doubt I ever get that high but am definitely aiming for at least 400. Time will tell!
Oh and Beat LA!!!
Congratulations on 500 coaster credit airtime thrills!! That was a phenomenal coaster to get 500th - the history behind the comment is so fascinating - maybe a video on the history of The Comet coming soon? Awesome video Airtime Thrills!!
Congrats on 500 and completing all the American B&Ms!
And so Chris’s quest for 600 coasters begins!

Congrats on 500! Glad you got to make it at least a solid one
As a native NJer with a partner from Iowa, I truly felt that comment about the roads. And that's one of my favorite Simpsons episodes appropriately asking what the hell NJ Devil does. I said on your video when they announced it that I thought a GCI would have rounded out the lineup so much better and after riding NJD I particularly stand by it. SFNE is my current home park and their operations can take a long walk off a short pier.
I personally love Morey's. It's just so odd and janky and really bleeds that NJ boardwalk vibe, plus Great White is solid and there are some good flats.
Glad your 500 was the coaster that made me an enthusiast! I think the airtime is pretty strong in the back car of comet, but still glad you enjoyed it!
Congratulations on 500+ credits! Sad to see Leap the Dips wasn't open, and the disappointment of American Dream. Great you had fun regardless, I'm looking forward to visiting Carowinds and Over Georgia myself! Also, props to referencing your Six Flags America video lol
Hey, great to see this series, which I’ll watch properly when I’m done with my road trip. A month and a half, and forty parks!
Having ridden Comet for almost 10 years, the fact it had next to no airtime is mind boggling. I wonder if the park being closed all of last year might be why, or if this is just a bad year for it. Congrats on getting that Alpine Bobsled credit too. It can be quite evasive.
You're lucky you waited to ride the comet until after they re tracked it! 4 years ago that drop made me feel like my ribs were going to shatter. I have to say I'm proud that my home park and the comet was your 500th! I never go there anymore since New England is only a little bit farther of a drive for me but The comet will always be one of my favorites!
Congrats on 500. I got my 200th yesterday - also on Comet at Great Escape! Definitely worthy of a milestone credit!
lucky you chris...we got fooled as you can see from our POV of comet on August 1 that bobsled was testing but never opened...not sure what was going on there..glad you were able to ride...but im still amazed with Comets smoothness for being a ride closing in on 100 years old....congrats on 500 coasters
Congratulations on 500+!!! Love all your videos. They have been entertaining me though the pandemic. I can't wait to go on my rollercoaster trip for my 40th Bday. I plan on going to 6 new parks and 56 new credits.....well 55 because I think Eltoro will still be closed. Keep it up with the great content 👍🏼😎👍🏼
Your 500th was my first credit as a kid! Even though it's a tiny thing, it's nice to see my home park visited by enthusiasts. :)
Congrats on the 500 Chris! Looking forward to the upcoming content from this trip!
Looks like a great trip! As a fellow coaster enthusiast, you do awesome videos and updates on the parks keep up the good work!
Congrats on #500! I was your 1,000th sub, and you were far ahead of me in coaster credits back then. I have since beat you to #500, but you're right on my tail. I can easily get to #550 in the U.S., but with only riding coasters here and in Canada, getting to #600 would take a trip overseas...(I'm not riding kiddie coasters to get the credits! lol)
Having only just become an enthusiast and living in the northeast, I have only been to SF Great Adventure and SF New England, but the operations were night and day. 2 weeks ago SFNE were sending trains every 5+ minutes and weren't even beginning to load a train until the previous was already on the final brake run. I honestly thought they were running one train operations until I got close enough to see the other train on the brakes. But it wasn't just the coasters, Everything at the park was slow. We had to wait 45+ minutes for both lunch and dinner.
CONGRATS on 500 Chris.
I am guessing you rode JD when it had the old wheels. can't wait for My Apology to Jersey Devil just like Skyrush lol
I think i rode with new wheels but i rode it after opening. Apparently it goes from family ride to amazing when it warms up
@@AirtimeThrills it goes from family to a little above average. Definitely not amazing even at full speed.

I fly for a living and am in and out of CLT all the time. As much as that airport sucks it's always nice to see Fury, especially lit up at night
Congrats on 500! You should be lucky you got that Alpine Bobsled credit
I have been going to the great escape multiple times a year for 10 years now, and I've only ridden bobsled once...
Congrats on 500 credits!! Also, Lucky that Alpine Bobsled was actually open for you.
Serious trip Chris! I use to consider myself as a serious road tripper, but as I've gotten older (41 y/o), it is much harder now, lol....you have a better temperament than me because I would have been livid about Nickelodeon. That's completely unacceptable. If they have to perform maintenance, you do when the park is closed or close one ride a day to start and finish each ride. Nickelodeon should have just posted entire park is closed for a week. Too much B.S. there. New Jersey for you! Also, I haven't been on JDC, but from everything I've seen and heard about it, I agree more with you than some others.
Comet is a great coaster to be credit 500. Super underrated PTC woodie due to the park it’s at. Can’t wait to ride it again for the first time in seven years next week
Congrads my friend thats quite a feat. Keep up your excellent videos and keep on ridin
It was so great finally getting to meet you! Awesome day at Coney Island, and you finally tried Wawa yesssss. Iced coffee and a quesadilla is an interesting combo, but that goes to show Wawa’s variety. I hope to see you on the East coast again soon!
Sorry you had to see my home park Great Escape…yeah, we need a raptor. Honored you picked Comet for #500. Congrats!
Lakemont park actually used to be my home park since I lived right outside of Altoona until we moved to California. It was actually very interesting to see how much it has changed since 2014.
No pun intended. Your trip seems to be a big roller coaster of events.
It sounds like every park had at least one major coaster down.
We've hit 24 parks in the last 18 months with Cedar Point, Six Flags Darien Lake, Waldameer, Lakemont Park, Kennywood and Kings Island beginning this weekend. We definitely do it different than you do but we're old and take plenty of breaks throughout the day. We may skip Lakemont if Leap The Dips isn't open.
and here I thought I had passed you on credits on the trip I just got back from, topping out at 494. Little did I know that you were pulling out to a bigger lead. Congrats on #500! I'm not sure exactly when you took your trip, but we probably passed each other somewhere along the way, as I was going from Carowinds on up. I totally agree with you on Jersey Devil. I expected it to be my least favorite RMC, but I didn't expect it to give absolutely no airtime the entire ride, and I didn't expect the sitting position to be so extremely painful in my knees. I never would've thought that on my new credits rankings, that I would put a Pinfari looping Zyklon (Ocean City) over an RMC.
Congrats on 2 milestones 500 and all B&M credits! Next year you’ll have another one to grab at Fiesta Texas. It looks fantastic too
Yep FT and san diego
congrats on the Huge 500 milestone !
Congrats on 500! I always get the feels when I see a bobsled, as I rode the Sarajevo Bobsleds WAY back in the day at Magic Mountain!
I do love the out of control feeling of a bobsled
I was just there in kings dominion and carowinds last week! Such a good park and i loved nighthawk way more than i thought i would. I even rank it over copperhead strike
“I made you sing doodoo”
What a trickster
Congrats on #500
Congrats on 500 and for completing the B&M's. I'm missing 10 although one is Firebird and I rode that as Iron Wolf. I just visited Six Flags America and I would agree with you the ops were pretty bad overall. Also disappointing to hear that about Jersey Devil which is the only RMC in America that I'm missing,
Oh hey you went to Great Escape, thats the closest park to me. Super cool that your 500th credit was on Comet, one of my favorite coasters there
Congratulations on your 500 plus coaster credits count Bro!!!!!
These videos are free serotonin
Nice job on 500 credits! It looks like you’ve had a great trip so far.
Next time fly…awesome job. Love the costars
I had to double check because I recognised the track and the slanted lift hill, but that wild mouse at idlewild used to be at alton towers!!!
great video, appreciate the honest takes on the coasters you rode and yep NY-NJ tolls suck
Favorite part! Seeing NY traffic. Glad I moved but it still brings a smile to my face seeing the traffic as you attempt to navigate the traffic. Been there many times! Go Cyclone!
Edit: When did Coney Island get more coasters? And when did the Cyclone turn into a smooth ride?!?! That thing killed my cousins cell phone!
You certainly lucked out with Bobsled being open. Although it seems to be doing better this year.
#500 is huge, congrats on the accomplishment man!
The Comet was a fitting coaster for # 500. It was my first real coaster at Crystal Beach, over 50 years ago. 😎
I did SFNE 2 days ago and wicked cyclone was awesome and I didn’t expect to love Superman as much as I did. Very good experience
Can't wait to hear your thoughts on wildwood's modest little offerings, surprised you didn't hit up the runaway tram
Talking about flying turns and "ride it one day", I thought you were about to go Clark Griswold for a second there! Cool trip!
Congrats on 500 man 🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
You hating on Jersey Devil kills me completely and thoroughly on the inside. It hurts a lot to listen to, but great job!
I put it over twisted Timbers, i305, Skyrush, and Toro!
I’m also weird

Jersey Devil is my favorite coaster (not number one; I rank best coasters and favorite coasters differently). It makes me sad to see it get so much hate. I think it’s much better than El Toro, whose mere presence in the same park seems to be a reason why JDC is getting so much hate. At least I actually get airtime on JDC. Whoever calls it the weakest RMC probably hasn’t experienced JDC more than a few times and probably only rode in the morning. It’s solid in the morning. The problem is that it crawls with empty trains. However the new wheels need to break in more and once the first riders get on the train it speeds up significantly. Get more rides in throughout the day and you’ll notice the difference in speed and airtime. I understand that it may look and feel slow, but it needs time because it is still new. If the slowness persists, Six Flags and RMC can work something out and possibly get wheel heaters to prevent valleying during morning test runs
My first experience on Jersey Devil happened to be in the front row at sunset during employee previews after a long day of test runs and I had phenomenal first rides (I’ve experienced it with both the second gen wheels and the new first gen wheels). This may be a reason why I feel so strongly about defending the ride for what it is. It wasn’t designed to feature the intensity or compactness of the clones but that’s okay. I don’t think intensity always makes a ride better. Sadly I think many people set the bar too high. I think it is by far the most underrated and overhated coaster of the year. I really hope it gets the praise it deserves
Was at SFNE for one of the first days this year still a limited capacity day the operations were so bad after 6 hours I got to ride three rides. And it’s my home park so I know that usually the wait times from where the lines were at would’ve been 20 maybe 30 minutes max. Absolutely atrocious what happened to that park
I had the misfortune of having tickets for SFNE while they were closed for two days for storm cleanup. And when I was finally able to go, I only managed a single ride on Thunderbolt before it became a washout. But maybe that was a blessing in disguise.
I used to live close to Lakemont and Delgrosso's. Hopefully you got some pasta at Delgrosso's! And now I live in OKC near you lol! Small world.
Congratulations on 500!
Brought back the six flags America GPS, love it
I see you also went to SFNE recently. I went on Thursday and tbh the crowds were not bad bc it was cloudy and raining on and off, so really I dodged a bullet lol. I rode Wicked Cyclone for the first time there and I definitely agree that thing is fucking elite, it easily became my new number 1.
My tip for JDC would be to wait until after 12pm to ride Jersey Devil, running to it first thing in the morning is not something I would suggest lolol but I understand you want to credit (my home park is Great Adventure and I usually go to Ka first thing in the morning since that thing doesn't really need warming up at all). The thing is that this ride has really impressive capacity so even with a full queue you can get on it in less than an hour (assuming it doesn't break down, but it is much more reliable now). In addition, the morning the trains are not full (as I saw in this video) which doesn't help either, I'm sure the riders account for a LOT of weights in these tiny raptor trains. The difference between a morning ride with half-full train and a noon ride with full train is night and day.
(before anyone come at me for reasons like "you can't judge a ride from when it is running the best", let me just say that most park guests DONT arrive at the park in the early morning so most riders probably experience the rides during and after midday)
I’m so happy for you reaching 500!!! I’m writing this comment from HersheyPark as a matter of fact!
Wow it's weird to log back in and see how far every coaster RUclipsr (yourself included) has come in the last year. Not sure if you remember me but it's cool to see you hit 500!
Of course i remember you, and thanks!
I’m one of Fury’s ops, I hope you had a better time at Carowinds this year. So sorry I didn’t recognize you!
I was there the 2 days before July 4th & you guys were killing it. Definitely a great crew. We got 8 rides over those 2 days. The first ride, at park opening, left me disappointed. Then we got back on later when it was warmed up and it was incredible.
I work the Seaside boardwalk, Casino Pier Hydrus is a pain in the butt and the Ferris Wheel usually has the longest line( I operate the Ferris wheel), btw NJ has the best boardwalks
Congrats on 500. I’m still working on 50. I got a late start in life 😜
I’m going to cedar point tomorrow for the first time and I’m so excited. Congrats on 500 btw.
Can’t even imagine going to Great Adventure knowing El Toro won’t be open 😭. Also glad to see WiCy still has not let you down
went there last week and El Toro, Nitro and Superman Escape were all closed, on the busiest Wednesday I've ever seen
I went last month and toro, Jersey devil, king da Kia were closed on a absolutely slammed Thursday.
@Drey's Games Had an accident over a month ago, not all of the details have been released but it appears that at the top of the lift hill, the back wheels on the back most car were damaged causing that car to tilt forward and dig into the track, the train then almost completed the entire track like that. So an unknown amount of track was damaged.
But with that, Toro needs to be investigated by Intamin to find out what happened, why it happened, and how to prevent it in the future. Then the ride needs to be reappoved to open as its currently red tagged.
I drove to Birmingham last Monday to try and marathon Rampage and it was the worst feeling when I saw it was closed.
I found out from the general manager that the ride had been hit by lightning the prior week and that it was taking them a little longer than expected to get it back in operation. It’s a shame because Rampage is an exceptional coaster!
Oh my I’m sorry about Rampage being closed! I love that CCI!
Congratulations!
I am not late, I just wanted to watch the video first!
Great accomplishment! I hope I can get there one day in the future! Keep up the great work!
Yeah SFNE’s ops are really slow this year, I think part of it has to do with there being more people using flash passes and them getting seating priorities. It also seems like 6 flags is giving out memberships that come with skip the line passes all Willy nilly, it’s good money for the park at the expense of painfully slow wait times
I’m a simple man, I see Airtime Thrills I click
I just rode Firebird for the first time this Saturday, and honestly I thought it was a good ride! I rode it in the back and it was actually pretty smooth. Not super intense or anything, but overall just a good, fun ride.
It’s the Alton towers wild mouse! Made my day
Surprised you did not do Lake Compounce and ride boulderdash
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR FOREVER!
The sign on wooden warrior is hilarious.
I can’t explain why but I cherish Airtime Thrills unmitigated love for De Ja Vu(Vekoma Giant Boomerangs) so much
I thought for a moment you'd been at Six Flags New England the same day I was there. But this was *uploaded* the day before I went there, so I guess it was weeks earlier. Definitely a Tuesday though.
i went to carowinds and today and the fury was closed and afterburn, which isnt rlly a problem bcs its like 20 mins away from my house, but still a bunch of rides on copperhead strike. I also rode vortex which is fun execpt it bangs your head, alot
Curious to know more about sfne operations and jersey devil. Yes tolls no fun in ny and nj. Also great adventure is having terrible ride challenges. Video possibility?
