Being a jerk is not part of a judge job, they give constructive criticism for the attendee so that they can get better at what they are doing. Theres difference between the harsh truth and bluntly just insulting someone. You don’t insult people as a judge because it could cause the person to no longer pursue what they are doing
Simon’s job could very well be a jerk so that the show can be entertaining. But if that’s not the case, then I would consider him a bad judge
