I love green tree pythons , my first and only 1 is a yellow biak and so far she’s doing good. Unfortunately she’s a captive farmed but other than getting a R.I. About 3 months into having her and she regurgitated 3 times but I think that was from bumping up the size of mouse to soon but other than that I haven’t had any other problems knock on wood lol . I’ve had her around 2 yrs now and has lost most of her yellow. She’s super handable as long as I pull her out before shutting lights off if not she will tag ya haha
I find it odd that the probes in the tanks are all away from the heating panels.. Here in France, we are measuring the hot spot with the thermometer and adjusting the hot spot with the thermostat, but this guys seems to do it opposite. I’m wondering what’s the upside?
My probes are on the cool side. It is important that the animals can get away from the heat. When they need to warm up they can choose how near they want to be from the heat source.
@@johnschlesinger2009 thank you for replying to me 🙂 I find it interesting that you decide to control de cool side with the thermostat instead of controlling the hot side. I understand the Thermo regulating behavior, I would think that it would be more accurate the probe the hot side instead of the cool one. But to each his own. Great looking animals and thanks for sharing with us all merci 🙏
Good video mate, always heard the same thing theyre hard to keep and maintain so good tips. Regarding the enclosures, do keepers like him and yourself build your own, or do you purchase them pre built, and if so, what brand. Was looking to build my own but unsure. Cheers mate and happy Easter 🐰
@CrittaCam cheers mate, unfortunately don't have FB anymore. But I think I'm leaning towards building my own. Have you still got all your pythons mate?
@CrittaCam what breeding do you mainly do? Eventually looking to get an albino darwin or something similar. You don't have any vens anymore either do you?
Great video and good information. Is the temperature of the babies at the back of the terrarium or at the bottom of the terrarium? Thanks
I believe the back, but feel free to reach out Jimbo. Should be a link in the info for the show
24" x 18" x 24" good for adult green tree python
I just got a Biak Boy Green Tree Python and got bit lol few times is there some tricks to handling them .
I would say slow movements would help
@@CrittaCam I noticed when took it out of enclosure my arm moved a bit to much and as it was wrapping around my arm it was snappy and bitting

You are so kind
Great video and lovely animals James. It was so good to meet you at the expo recently, we will be back next year for sure.
I hope so too!
Thanks so much for sharing Pete & James! Great show and super helpful.
Made me laugh how Pete was wrangling the exploring snake, when James was just happy to let it go.
