In the case of Scorpio, I think so too. Scorpio sun are conspicuous, but Scorpio nature is reserved. To be honest, Scorpio sun people are overly dramatic, these are the thrill seekers most likely to be sky diving, shooting, tatoos, seeking danger, and friends w dangerous lifestyles, also tend to have many partners. But ascendantd are less danger seeking, more academic and seekers of truth in that way.

I'm scorpio ascendant, when I was 15 years old I listened to a radio show about aliens on youtube (Coast to Coast) and my mind was suddenly blown open because until that time I always took for granted that what was told to me, was how the world was, and when I heard this radio show I realized that the world is not at all how it seems, from then on I never saw it the same again and it kept changing dramatically every year.
I wanted to find the ultimate Truth (black & white) and I was listening to hours upon hours of Terence Mckenna, a famous speaker on psychedelic drugs, at 16 I bought a magic mushroom grow kit and grew the mushrooms in my closet. I took them on 3 seperate occasions always in the darkness of my room alone with my mind.
3 times the experience was very dark and terrible, like I was going to Hell, I only saw chaos, the "Truth" I was looking for didn't seem to exist, I thought I was going crazy, I looked at the palm of my hand, just stared at it for 15 minutes and when I raised my head suddenly it felt like nothing else had ever existed, only I existed and everything before that time was just a dream, I was alone in the universe playing with the figments of my imagination. This made me break down because unlike the previous couple of hours in which I didn't see any Truth, this sick image of reality felt very real to me, there was no denying it, only I existed, and here I was looking for a savior, I was looking for a Truth to hold on to and what I got instead was the destruction of everything, of my ego included.
All the earthly things like my education, my parents, my dreams in the physical world vanished into eternity, that moment at a very young age changed me profoundly, I had a bit of respite, when I was praying to God to save me I puked out all of the mushrooms while my parents were sleeping in the room next to mine, I started cleaning up the mess and to my great surprised my parents (who are light sleepers) didn't wake up the whole time, the universe didn't want my experience to be interrupted.
I closed the door back after cleaning it up, opened the window and a fresh gust of air flew into my face, I filled my lungs with it and it was the most delicious breath of air I had ever tasted, then I realized my mind was completely silent, I began to feel extacy, I sat down on my bed with my legs crossed and was just sitting there listening to the utter silence, all was perfect, there were no errors in existence, I felt like I could sit there in that one spot for eternity, nothing in me wanted to move, it was so comfortable, I was so thankful.
I imagined a ladder going into heaven, and on that ladder in various heights were great people who had realized this and more before me, even with my revelation I didn't feel like I was very high on that ladder, it seemed endless, and when I looked down I saw the great masses of people on earth who were so far removed from even the first steps, I knew that the experience was rare.
My mind started chatting again slowly and later I would look up on Google : "silent mind" and in the search results were Buddhist resources, that was also my first real discovery of Buddhism, I read the texts and I knew these people talk about the things Iv experienced, I will study this and practice meditation to get back to that place. They had studied it so deeply, they had categorized the feelings in different levels of consciousness, amazing.
Since then I have had one period of 3 months in which I was heavily practicing meditation and mindfulness, I learned a lot about life and even felt like I had super powers, I could see into people, I could affect them by my own state of mind. But I became too arrogant and I stopped meditating, I thought "this is my new normal now" but this was a mistake because I would wake up months later to find myself trapped in the confusion of the thinking mind again.
It took me a very long time to start meditating again I don't know why, there was a blockage. Now Im meditating very regularly, I'm not making the same progress as I did 10 years ago, I don't have that burning enthusiasm that I had but in a way I think its a good thing, the first time I made progress very quickly but then got burned, now I will walk the narrow path again more slowly and wisely.

@@kwonpretty9449 Do not take psychedelic drugs to see angels or evolved souls because chances are you wont see anything of that sort unless you're taking dmt maybe but I never tried it.
Secondly, its not addictive because its not an easy experience to go through every time, it could bring up your trauma's for you to deal with, don't treat it like a toy, it could change you for ever.
