@@ThisisaTOYOTAeveryday cause it's my Job 🤷 we are a hired crushing service. We don't pick what gets crushed. Nothing but the equipment is ours. The customer points them out and then we do our part 👍🤠
Breaks my heart to see these VW's being crushed..I've had 3 in my 74 year life time..had a blue one in 68, a yellow one in 74 and I have a black convertible Beetle with a tan top now with Beetle written in both sides of it..I've always loved them and wish that I could have had alot more of them..such a waste...js
The problem is there was no interest in the VW's. I had made several videos over a year. Including a video with those cars. No one contacted me about anything 🤷 Thanks for watching and commenting. I super appreciate it 🤠👍
Back out east we would use old VW Beetle hoods as sleds going down the snow covered golf course near our place, those was way faster & more fun than any sleds 🛷
These use to be all over the place when I was growing up. Beautiful cars but not the safest. I had an uncle that almost died in one of these. Great video. I spotted a Plymouth Volare . Have not seen them in years. The Bugs were produced in Mexico well into the 2000s, I think.
The last year it was produced in Mexico was 2003 called "Ultima Edicion" ultimate edition of course but it came with chrome trims all over wolfsburg badges all over and white wall tires it is such a collective.
Hi Cowboy 🤠! Yes, "vocho" or simply "Volkswagen" means Beetle or Bug in all Mexico. And talking about taxis, unfortunately in Mexico City there aren't more white and green VW Beetle taxi cabs on the streets since 2013, but you can still find VW Beetle taxis in Acapulco (blue and white) or Taxco (all whites). My best wishes for you and Mario from Mexico.
Vintage Beetles, a green Plymouth Volare or Dodge Aspen along with a Lincoln from the 70s at 0:06 are rare sights these days but when has anybody last seen a mid 50s Packard? I hope it gets spared a date with the crusher. Oh, I can't forget the late two tone red on white 60s-early 70s Chevy pickup next to the Packard at 6:11.
These Beetles were probably collecting Rust longer then they were on the road, their usable parts were probably less then stellar at this stage and we all know this is gonna happen to almost every car eventually. Still hurts to watch tho D:
I never had any luck selling VW parts. But solid pans would probably move to someone. Good thing no engines, these don't have an oil pan to poke, Mario would have had to take the drain plug out.
I posted a video of those beetles last summer. Also you didn't ask if there were any left before you got mad. There's 3 left . 3 that are complete. When do i tell that guy you are on the way for parts
Sell for scrap metal. .can't be that much compared to parts worth ...maybe if one is completely total out to crush but one in 90 percent perfect shape...?
Sadly, you did have to crush that '56 Lincoln. I saw that video before this one. That really sucks. My sister wouldn't like this video. She loves the old VW beetles & the old vans. Glad you haven't crushed any of those as far as i know.
3 of it had Transmission still in it. They have IRS axle and a Transmission is very rare. In Germany they Pay more than 1000euros for a long Transmission and you crush it😥😥😥
Tooooo bad...all those potential sand buggy..take body off ...then sand buggy on takes on a whole new chacter of Volkswagen no longer can be called slug bug....
Best thing to do to a Volkswagen , saving lives . Hitler called them the peoples car , and you know what he thought of people. I’ve got a eight inch surgical scar on my right shoulder from one of those things . 👍🇨🇦
You can’t find a VW Bug around here. rust has devoured them.... My friend/neighbor is building one.... well, he build a chassis with big V-8 and mounted a Bug body on it. It’s gonn go like stink....
They go for silly money over here the few that are left that haven't rusted to nothing. I've had two of them and can honestly say I could never see the attraction they're slow . Noisy. Laggy. Do terrible MPG. Totally impractical there's no boot space cause it's full of engine . Heater either blows cold or burns the back of your legs . And they skid like mad in the ice unless you've a concrete block in the front ahead of their time when they were conceived ..........82 years ago . Agree though they were nice colours 🤭😁😁😁🤣
It's like making those multi-flavored lollipop suckers, this color goes on the bottom, another one goes in the middle, and so forth! Not sure about the flavor though! 🤪👍🪲🐞
Now you have Beetle juice
Those old original parts are way better than those you buy today !
As a VW guy, this hurts my heart. 💔
Sorry about that. Lots of heartbreak in these junkyards
@@CowboyCarCrushingThen why are you doing it bruh

I haven't rode in one since I was 6 or 7 years old
Cool Joan are you the originally owner?😊
Sad to see Beetles get scrapped. So many cars there that are of no interest that should have gone first.

Yes, you're right... The last VW Beetle was made in 2003, on July 30th.

What is the green car behind the Beetles?
Some kind of dodge
@@CowboyCarCrushing ok thx

Parts to the right person is worth money. Use the chassis with fiberglass dune buggy body.
Where is the right person 🤣
I'm surprised he wanted to destroy those VW's,, parts are getting pretty hard to find for these things.
Space. It's about putting something else in It's spot
Lazy people
In Europe the parts are getting expensive!
I’d rather see these saved than any of the trucks that everyone cries over.

They sure had all kinds of stuff at that yard. There was several rounds of crushing that kind of stuff
@@CowboyCarCrushing No doubt about that. It looks like the yard was established long ago.
Yeh..ive had 4 of em over the years
We had a VW junkyard where I grew up. We used to say Slug Bug when we saw them and hit the person next to you. I guess you call them squashed bugs 😂.
Slug Bug is 👊
Classic Volkswagen Beetle crushed.
2nd Classic Volkswagen Beetle crushed.
3rd Classic Volkswagen Beetle crushed.
Toyota Celica and Ford Taurus spotted in bundle.
4th Classic Volkswagen Beetle crushed.
4 cars crushed in video. Total tally is 2,697.
That's probably going to make someone mad.
Probably so

I never had any luck selling VW parts. But solid pans would probably move to someone.

Howdy Howdy Cowboy
no Mustang ..cowboy. keep on crushing...it hurts to see the classic go but you cant save them all
Better than the new ones cowboy
DJ used to call the bug pannier after his cousin!
Sad day in the Beetlehood
Why does the guy look under the hood? Is he making sure the engine has been taken out?
Checking for batteries or anything that should not be in there
The dark green and red ones looked in decent shape.
Not anynore
Goodmorning Buddy HOWDY HOWDY!
Good morning. Gotta put my work boots on here in a few minutes. Starting to get a belly full of these Saturdays
They should all be turned in to bean cans even the good ones
Re-bar for concrete
No beetle no 😭😭😭
I didn't like it either. I think they are 😎
57 Lincoln 😊👍
As a guy that can't find Beetles for less than like 5k. This angers me beyond comprehension.

I like to use my Loubs for crushing bugs.
I like those cars but I really don't like engines in back of cars cause many cars got rear ended a lot
I drove one of those beetles over with my dodge dakota crushing it flat
One way to get the bugs out of a VW Beetle
You have to add scraps for weight.
