Love the hungry for history series! good job 👍🏻
I don’t think I’ve ever eaten buckwheat pancakes. I’ll have to try that whenever I get to West Virginia

Thanks I hope the William Pomeroy group places more of these throughout the US. There's lots of regional dishes out there waiting to be tried and tested! 🤣 Thanks for watching

You have to visit during the annual Preston County Buckwheat Festival. Always the last full weekend in September. Buckwheat cakes and sausage dinners served all weekend!

"Hungry For History" - nice, you should get at least a couple dozen episodes with that theme. Even if they don't seem real popular at first, it will make a nice collection one day that will certainly bear value. 🙂

That's right - like I said there are only about 14 of these markers put up in the U.S. I told the lady in charge of the organization that St. Louis has a lot of local foods (gooey butter cake, Mayfair dressing, pig snoots, etc) but the problem is a lot of people can't agree on where gooey butter cake was invented. lol. She was like "no worries! You should still submit these ideas". Haven't done so yet. I may do a few "unofficial" HFH episodes in the future
