Really? Your stuck in Plato's Cave. It is a Spell not many can see through. When I inform people they get angry because the light hurts the eyes at first. Some just run back into the cave in fear and denial. Oh yes the most famous drag Queen in the business. Even a rib removal & padded hips. That skull and bones do not lie. The long arms, no pelvic tilt and ever changing hip width. The big hands and feet, the huge upper mandible, and strong biceps. They give them all hormones as children even babies. The hubby was the beard. See the butterfly symbolism? How about the one-eye upside down star patch Dolly wears? She can not retire because she sold her soul for fame & fortune. Thats how it all rolls. To influence & demoralize the Sheeeple. Hate me but wake up. Watch the symbolism & take an anatomy class. Height means nothing. BTW.. This is nothing new. Back to Babylon. I am so sorry the world is like this, but it is. I wish it were not.

I’m going to attempt to write this comment without crying. As a gay male I have admired Dolly since I was 10 yrs old in 1987. Some how she taught & showed me the way to be successful at such an early age. At the time I thought it was admiration, but come to find out I would end up losing my family at a young age to cancer, addiction, heart disease, and other unfair ways. She kept me grounded and gave me the strength to keep living during some of the most difficult times of my life, between Dolly and Celine they somehow got me through the worst and I’ve always tried to make my family proud as well as Dolly & Celine. I hope one day I can tell them face-to-face how much I appreciate them. My mothers from another. They will never understand how much they mean to me. They’ve been my blessings in disguise. I love them more than they will ever understand. They have saved my life more than once. I just think they hung the moon.

In all fairness to you: you kept yourself grounded and you gave yourself strength to keep living, and you somehow got yourself through the worst. Dolly just happens to be someone there you gave credit to, instead of yourself. As celebrities go, Dolly has chosen to be a positive role model to those who are open to positive role models. Give yourself credit for being open to that. It was you who responded to the goodness and perseverance you felt might be in Dolly and Celine, that you also wanted for yourself, and their music most likely spurred you on in that direction. As a Gay man myself, give yourself credit for seemingly being someone that you can be proud of.

A lot more gracious about Col. Parker than I would have been, though. The man was a sleazeball, and in her heart I'm sure Dolly knows it.

I’m glad Elvis’ manager lived long enough to see the worldwide success of “I Will Always Love You” when Whitney Houston recorded it. He was all about money and Dolly made millions off that song. She made a brilliant decision to say no to him.

@@smw4020 great comment. We cannot under estimate her strength to say no, and to protect herself from what were essentially robbers, which was hard to do decades ago before women’s liberation. Dolly was brave.

And most people don’t know but Dolly donated the proceeds from Whitney’s version back to the African American community. Always giving back..showing the world what real character is all about. We will always love you Dolly.

Dolly is a total woman with brains. She’s savvy with how to run a business. One thing she made fun of, & I have adopted it ‘cause I admire her so much, she said, “It takes a lot of money to look this cheap.” I fell in love with that and made it my mantra & learned how to enjoy life the way I wanted. Thank you, Dolly. You are a gem! Also, my condolences to you for the loss of your love.

The first time I saw Dolly Parton was on a show with Porter Wagner. I ‘m a New Yorker who was introduced to them by Texas friend in college. She knew that I had an east coast attitude about country music. I did get some laughs over Hee Haw. Their hair and sequin clothes through me, but I just loved hearing Dolly sing. She’s a grand lady . And loved her in Steel Magnolias. She’s one person I loved to meet. She’s got it all.
