Heather would love you to do a full step by step video on headlight restoration including product recommendations. You make everything simple and uncomplicated!
You're not the first to be underwhelmed by AW Cleanliness, I think it came last in a recent Forensic Jon video, out if about 12 citruses. Great content as always, all the best 👍.
You definitely never let us down with the quality of your video's and the products you use. Sometimes I wonder why some of the owners have you work your skills on cars that aren't really cared for before or after you've done them, sorry to be negative.
What a great transformation!!!!!! I was relieved when you noticed the headlights were oxidising! There's nothing worse than a clean car with yellow/ cloudy headlights!!!
Great video highlighting another excellent product by Turtle Wax. One thing I noticed is that despite your rainy climate , those in the UK seem to love convertibles.
Me again sorry lol. Who needs Netflix!! Am totally bingeing out on your videos while I veg on the sofa with a busted foot! Sooo good!! 😬🙏Coupla quick questions Heather…when you use a spray and rinse type sealant/protection on alloys, won’t it contaminate the discs and pads? Have you noticed any change in your braking performance after using these products? Also, do you do your own filming and editing? It really is first class!! No fuss, no shake, always on focus and very detailed and synced with your voiceovers as to what we see on screen as you talk! No annoying thumping drum n bass music either!! 😂🙏Just a nice ambiance. Def one of the best detailing channels out there for sure! These must take you ages to setup, record and edit, so thanks for bringing them to us!! Very enjoyable!! Keep going!! Cheers 🙏👍
Thanks very much I really appreciate that! I personally haven’t noticed any change after using a spray and rinse sealant on the wheels. I think the alloy blocks most of it usually so very little actually goes on the disc/ pad and it doesn’t repel water when I rinse it so I assume it gets washed away without sticking And yep I do the filming and editing, there’s a lot of moving the camera around 😂 The editing is one of my favourite bits though it’s quite satisfying seeing the video coming together
Amazing job Heather. I was interested to see detail a convertible,as I have one and worry about using my pressure washer on the roof. Hope you enjoyed the weekend.
Thanks Stephen! I definitely wouldn’t use a pressure washer unless I could get the pressure really low. I used to just use a nozzle attachment on a garden hose with my old pressure washer which wasn’t adjustable but luckily the Kranzle is easy to adjust so saved a bit of faffing about!
I’d have a look at Fabsil Gold too. It was still showing some signs of life on some areas of this roof which I treated a year ago. The Turtle Wax one could be as good but just not had a chance to see yet 😊
Hi Heather, Great video and turnaround on the Mini. I will be interested in your findings on the longevity of the wax in the future. I am always looking to try a new wax, as I still enjoy the process of applying a wax and the look they give.👍😎
Thanks John! I'm very impressed with Tanzanite so far. If I get a few months out of it I think it'll become my go-to as the application and water behaviour were perfect for me
Thank you for the video Heather. Cracking job you did there, you really transformed that filthy Mini into a show car 👌. The video has also given me the motivation to clean my car, so thanks again. 😀
Another car clean as it should be. Please consider giving us time of every detail you do. I think people should know how much effort is needed to properly wash a car🙂👍
Thank you for watching :) It definitely takes longer than a lot of people think. I spent about 8 hours on this one but moving the camera around does add a lot of time to the process
Clear and concise as always! Best restorer in my aresenal (as I do older cars mostly with greying plastics), unrivalled IMO: Solution Finish - Black Trim Restorer. The small bottle will do, get one in for test I think you'll be surprised. Actually dyes it back to black, it's so easy to put on, quick microfibre to flatten off and it lasts. Give it a hit to soak on first application let it set in, wipe over a minute or two later then apply a secondcoat if needed/desired. Love it!
I just did a mini Cooper last week that hadn’t been washed in 2 years & has never been waxed and is parked under trees. I never thought a clay & iron remover would last 2 hours on a mini Cooper but some people just flat out don’t care for their cars lol, it took 64 oz of iron remover…
Great video Heather, and well timed for me as I've got a 2004 Mini Cooper booked in next weekend for a full valet, decon, paint correction and machine polish so it gives me a bit of a heads up. I agree with your comment about the trim restorer, Gtechniq is expensive but it is a fantastic product and one that I'll be using on the Mini plastics. Keep up the good work 😎
Hey heather I hope you are well I have seen your job on headlight restoration and water spot trim thank you for you recommendations last 2 weeks I did it. Now my car is zero water spots and new headlights .Best.
Great video mate, iv been off watching videos recently but will watch more keep up the good work, my sister had a mini just like that was always filthy
Just tried the Turtlewax Graphene trim dressing Heather and it is terrible. I'm not sure how it passed the testing and development Stage at Turtlewax. It is now in the bin, quite possibly the worst detailing product I've ever used.
@@markmoore6264 I've tried it again as well and I'm not feeling it either. There are just so many products which are way easier to apply, less messy and don't streak
I’ve used the Angelwax Cleanliness and can’t say I’ve been that impressed either. I’ve got 5l of the stuff to get through and it’s been sitting on the shelf. Maybe I’ll have another go upping the concentration Good video as always Heather!
Another excellent video Heather and what a transformation, I have used Angelwax Cleanliness a while ago and was also disappointed, as you said, much better products out there, thanks for your unbiased review of the products you use...
Another informative video with the products you use, how you find they work best and your general opinion on them. Have you done an engine clean video? Or are there plans to? Also like someone else said a full headlight restore would be good. Thanks for the videos - packed full of useful info.
Thanks Gary! If you have a search on the channel I did a quick waterless engine bay clean a couple of years back. It’s a good idea for a future video since it’s been so long though!
Heather, would like to hear your thoughts once you test Infinity Wax's new Plastic Coat on plastic trim, and rubber mats. Might beat them all, or at least equalise with AM Trim. My results have been good so far (all-weather mats being a surprise), i think Ollie and Mike have another cracker on their hands.
Thanks Nigel! Off the top of my head some of my favourites are Paul Dolden, Specky, The Hairy Housewife, A Passion for Detailing and Road to Detailing :)
Brilliant job as ever Heather. Always so satisfying to watch! When using a tyre dressing, how do you prevent it getting on the rims or do you just wipe/rinse away any that has?
Thank you! Some tyres make it a bit easier to apply the dressing if there’s more of a gap between the alloy but if I get any on there then I just wipe it off with a quick detailer spray and microfiber towel 😊
A fantastic transformation Heather in what was a neglected Mini Cooper cabriolet. You have taken years of this car with you hard work. Well done Random question to you and other enthusiasts alike, when you wash the car do you start in the same place - for example nearside front wing and work clockwise around the vehicle.
The car on completion is looking really good not that I am surprised as I know your quality as a detailer from watching you for a while now. I used Angelwax Cleanliness for a couple of years as they are based 5 miles from me near Glasgow but I was never convinced that it did much but your application was an interesting method. John at M& K advises to apply wax in straight lines in case you pick up a speck of dirt blown onto the paint in the wind and if you use a circular motion it will be moved onto the paint more and it will hopefully be released at a panel gap if applied in a straight line. I thought you might have tried the Wet Coat in the arches. Some more interesting products to look into for me. Thanks.
Cheers John and thanks for the feedback! I was a bit disappointed with Angelwax Cleanliness, I’ve tried a lot of pre-washes which have more kick to them at that dilution
@@AutoCareHQ I went out with the dogs and suddenly thought you would think I was criticizing you which I promise was not my intention. I just wax that way now and in my mind it makes sense but if I really wanted to do it properly I would want to hand massage it onto the paint but my wedding ring is not coming off even if I wanted it off and it would do more damage than a few swirls. The guys at Angelwax were brilliant and really helpful to me when I started my detailing journey so I didn't like to criticize them as I knew no better but Cleanliness didn't meet my expectation. Our passion for detailing and products that make it easier or a more pleasurable process or a better end result keep coming through and Angelwax seemed to go down the route of Ceramics & Graphene and not improving their core range and as my passion was wax we parted ways but I do pop in now and again for certain products like H2o and screen wash. I might have to invest in some of the Yum products but I think an electric Mountain Bike is next on the wish list.
Not at all John, that makes a lot of sense! The only other Angelwax product I've tried is H2Go which I thought was a great product so I'm still tempted to try a few more from their range in the future. Definitely give some Yum products a try once you've got the mountain bike checked off the wish list!

Another great video Heather! You've also sold me on getting my own Kranzle after the fantastic, in-depth review you did of yours :) Quick query, can you link to the MTM guy setup you use for the kranzle? I want to update mine too but it's currently a Nilfisk variant :(
Cheers Rick! Great call on the Kranzle you'll love it. Do you currently have an MTM gun? If it has an attachement screwed onto it you can probably unscrew that and you'll have the M22 connection that fits onto the Kranzle hose. I made the mistake of purchasing an M22 adapter when I first it thinking I would need that to convert it but when I removed the Karcher adapter on mine it was actually the right fitting already on the gun
@@AutoCareHQ Hi Heather, thanks for getting back to me. I don't have either at the moment, just my old nilfisk and the ebay gun with quick release at the moment. I want to get the same setup as you, kranzle t/s with the MTM gun :)
Hi i have the same mini r52 from 2006 could you please make a video of where you lubrificate the car locks because they are a bit hard for me and i should lubrificate them
Hi Heather, I've just purchased some Citrus Magic pre-wash after it was recommended to me, I'll be interested to see how well it works. Maybe it might be worth a video on pH neutral Vs alkaline snow foams, the benefits/cons and what you prefer to use?
Thanks Simon and good idea :) I prefer alkaline snow foams to be honest most of the time when I'm not using a citrus product underneath. pH neutral ones are good for summer though if I don't need as much cleaning power
12:34 Question: I see some browning on the corner of the wheel. I have the same on my well maintained black powdercoated wheels. What is this and how do I get rid of it?
I think that might have been the reflection actually from the orange brake discs. It sounds like it could be very stubborn brake dust, some finishes are quite prone to it. You could try something like Infinity Wax Incinerate which is a strong alkaline wheel cleaner but not as aggressive as an acidic wheel cleaner
Thanks Kim :) I think some of it will probably be water spots but I think it generally just starts to oxidise after a while. I've noticed it quite a lot on cars that are at least a few years old especially on the front grille
Would you recommend the fabric cleaner over a citrus product? I can’t get some cat footprints off of my roof… I’ve tried a few times with citrus and a brush so far.
They both would probably be quite similar I’d imagine. You might need to go with a slightly stiffer brush but just be careful about being too aggressive
Hello Caretakers. Small car, but loads of work. One of the best videos about practically clean and protect a fabric softtop i ever seen. This was a lot of efford. Could it be that you have a lot of 'woman cars', lady drivers who havent got their focus on keep their vehicles clean, to name it gentle? ;-)
KKD Devil Juice is an acidic cleaner which is by far the strongest I’ve tried. I don’t like using it often though as there’s a lot of safety precautions with it being such an aggressive chemical. Infinity Wax Incinerate is great too but just not as strong
I have found that the Wowo's wheel cleaner is the best for really tough grime. The previous owner of Wowo's (Fraser) once told me when I visited the factory that it was a non acidic acid and that is why it cleaned well and was safe to use.
@@jpoccasions227 This one is from Argos :) I bought 3" and 5" backing plates from Clean Your Car quite a while ago which are much better than the massive one that it came with
Fantastic job yet again, did you do the same car some time back? If you have then it has not seen water since the last time, absolutley great job yet again.😊 11 out of 10.

Heather's the typa girl who puts the milk in first when making tea
Definitely not 😂
@Auto Care HQ glad to hear it, that's just plain wrong 😂
I listen and I don't understand anything, it's bad. Cool cross country. Hello from Ukraine.
Thanks for watching!
Hello Caretakers. Small car, but loads of work. One of the best videos about practically clean and protect a fabric softtop i ever seen. This was a lot of efford. Could it be that you have a lot of 'woman cars', lady drivers who havent got their focus on keep their vehicles clean, to name it gentle? ;-)
Thanks for watching! To be honest most of the cars are actually owned by men but the majority don’t get cleaned very frequently!
Looking to get an ink sprayer will valet pro citrus work well in it 😊
Yep I’ve used VP Citrus in mine loads of times 😊
Where is the best places to buy them and what would be the ratio for valet pro please
I’ve got a link to mine in the description from In2Detailing and I usually go for 1:6
You are a cool Girl
Can you recommend a good product for cleaning wheel barrels with years of baked on brake dust?
KKD Devil Juice is an acidic cleaner which is by far the strongest I’ve tried. I don’t like using it often though as there’s a lot of safety precautions with it being such an aggressive chemical. Infinity Wax Incinerate is great too but just not as strong
I'll try the devil juice first because it's going to need an aggressive step. Thank you
I have found that the Wowo's wheel cleaner is the best for really tough grime. The previous owner of Wowo's (Fraser) once told me when I visited the factory that it was a non acidic acid and that is why it cleaned well and was safe to use.
🙂👏
Is your machine polisher cordless
Nope unfortunately it has a pretty short power cable
@@AutoCareHQ oh ok no worries it looks similar to my polisher from Argos.
What pads and fitment do you have on it looks better with a smaller pad
@@jpoccasions227 This one is from Argos :) I bought 3" and 5" backing plates from Clean Your Car quite a while ago which are much better than the massive one that it came with
First!!
Fantastic job yet again, did you do the same car some time back? If you have then it has not seen water since the last time, absolutley great job yet again.😊 11 out of 10.
Thanks Philip! Very well remembered. I filmed the vid almost exactly 12 months after I filmed the last one actually. Think the owner said they’d washed it once since!
Thanks for the reply. P.S. I doubt if you remember, but i took your advise on cleaning my motorcycle, but it came up spot on. Thank you.
Всё кончено отлично... только один вопрос..кто вообще моет авто на солнце??))
Thank you for watching. The temperature was cold so it did not cause any problems even though it was sunny
