Hey bud I’m a new 2019 R6 owner could use your help. I see in your video 5 mins in your engine temp is 170/180 and your driving it pretty aggressive at that temp looks. But my problem is I sense something is wrong with my bike I feel like it generates and heats up abnormally too quick and goes to 212F within 10-15 mins of driving it and not even aggressive like you. When it gets into idle at a light within that time limit of driving it it’ll jump up to almost to 230 F I’ve noticed. Think I should have someone check it out!?
Iv been riding a cbr500 for a few years now as a learner bike and a ready to move up to something bigger, i cant decide if i should get a 2017 r6 or a litre bike like the new fireblade... im wondering if i will eventually get bored of the power from a 600, i commute everyday and ride on weekends any help would be appreciated.
Harrison Pugh I would definitely go to a 1000 because it’s not gonna really be a difference from a 500 to a 600.. yea it’s 100cc’s more but your not gonna really tell the difference.. but if you do, trust me after a while u will get bored of it so go to a liter bike my man..
This dude doesn’t know what he’s talking about. A CBR500 has 2 cylinders. A 600cc super sport has 4. I make 75 or so more horsepower than a cbr500. Any r6 or 600cc super sport will destroy a cbr500. Just because it’s 100cc doesn’t mean anything. It’s about how the motor is built and an r6 has twice as many cylinders. Similar to the ninja 650, they have MORE cc’s than an r6 yet they’re much much slower, because they have less cylinders. If you are commuting, do not get a 1000. Honestly the fuel economy is garbage, the temptation to go fast in traffic is just retarded and I’d end up killing myself commuting on a 1000, and traffic is terrible because of how long the gears last. I couldn’t go below 15mph on my cbr1000rr without using the clutch. Along with a 1000, comes bigger payments and higher insurance rates. If it was a weekend bike only, yes 1000, but watch my videos man, I keep up with 1000cc bikes all day in the twisties. I would definitely stick with a 600 as long as your dailying it. Reliable, 40+mpg all around, less maintenance, less temptation, depending on the 1000, a 600 is more comfortable as well. If u have any other questions feel free to ask me!
@@HunnaRides I disagree on them being more comfortable then a bigger 1kCC, especially for taller riders. I recommend the 1000, becuase the fit and finish is always better, and the bike is generally more reliable. I rode both a 1k, and 600rr, and if youre in city traffic, you should be riding a 125 or a 250, period. I commute back country roads and highway, 70km combined. I love riding my 1000cc sportbike. But youre right I will take the 600 to save on gas, although, im doing more highway now, cruising at 120mph, and the 1000 again wins in that context rolling on the highway, I would get better mpg, if you could keep her still haha. i am thinking of selling my 600rr, to buy either another 1000, or Aprilia's new 660cc supersport.
Hey man love this bike I went to the dealer to look at it and I am want it sooo bad, now i have a question, did you pay 9900 including plate registration and dealers fee if any? If not how the price break down I am trying to get a deal on it
Did yours not come with a quick shifter? Get one. Get an Akrapovic exhaust, a K&N race filter and get it dyno tuned. You'll get 120hp at the wheel, better low down torque and it'll be smoother through the rev range. Smooth out that jump at 10,000rpm

The first parts of the video yes it was fresh from the dealer, but I waited to make the rest of the video after I had put a few hundred miles on the bike
There’s a lot of myths of what most of us call “the break in period” some people break in the bike “hard” by full accelerating fresh out of the dealer (which is mostly frowned upon) but most of us take it pretty slow for atleast the first few hundred miles. You do this so all the seals and everything in the bikes can sit tight correctly. Because heat from the motor can cause things to shift and move when everything is brand new. But the first part of this video was filmed fresh out of the dealer and I waited a few days maybe even a week after I got some miles on the bike and finished the video.
For a first time rider. R6 or R1 . People say get the r1 because you can get faster and but is there such thing as too much power for a bike. Looking to get a bike just looking for a opinion. Thanks
Idk who told you to get an R1 as your first bike but they’re extremely ignorant. When someone asks me what should their first bike be I start off by asking what your riding experience?
Getting mine in August (work bonus ftw)!! Definitely gonna hold out for the matte grey even if I gotta go 500 miles to find the right deal. I see them all over Cycle Trader for low-$9k’s. Beautiful bike and cool channel dude!
@@HunnaRides Understandable but I live in a small town and I've never even seen a new R6 of any color riding around here yet. The white and silver looks great too though (only one I dont really like is the blue).
Not gonna put my financial business out there but insurance is only $55 for liability and I think I was quoted like $170 for full coverage. Yamaha tends to not require full coverage even tho you’re financing. But monthly payments for the bike are pretty steep as I’m only 19 and interest was high.
Love this video my brother. I’ve been looking for vids on the 18 R6 because I have the grey one you was talking bout. Would love to see ur upgrades on it if u get some to see how it turns out.
I thought about getting the R6, I had an 08 CBR.. with a toce best sounding 600 ever. Ending up buying a s1000rr last week. Thought about the R6...then I remembered the cbr did everything better besides corners imo
If you’ve been on a street bike before for a decent amount of time then the r6 might be a good fit. Don’t forget there’s other options like an FZ-07 or a ninja 650 which may suit you well also.👍🏼
I have, but I’ve learned the bike so I know what kind of bumps cause it so I k ow how to counter act the speed wobbles. But definitely possible no doubt.
I see, I’ve been debating which 600cc class bike to upgrade to from an R3, and I’m torn between a used gsxr or a new r6 mainly because of the price. Lol Anyway, thanks for the feedback bro! Subscribed!
For me and my body type and how I ride, I’ve had 0 issues on the r6 as far as being comfortable. I’ve ridden for hours and hours and hours straight, 5 hour road trip. Ass starts to hurt a bit but that’s expected. Other than that I’m comfortable. I’ve never had true seat time on a 636 but I’ve heard they’re the more comfortable of the 600cc bunch. Where as the R6 is more race inspired.
If u have a credit card for 5 months then you have some sort of credit history and credit score. It’s best to finance something of value like I’m financing a $2000 MacBook Pro from Apple which helped me a lot. Im 19 and didn’t need a co signer and my downpayment was way less.
No problem and I believe in one of your vids you said you were 19yrs?! If you don’t mind me asking if true man your street skills are fxxxx phenomenal you earned me my brother my dad and best friend respect and loyalty to the channel love it
You just need to barely roll off the throttle so there’s hardly any load on the gears in the trans, and it’ll slip into the next gear when you toe the shifter. It’s hard to get the timing right.
that’s a whole bunch of bs. that’s why there is insurance in the first place. to cover damages and body injuries in case of an accident. every motor vehicle can be insured.
@@Joanchovyy Oh ya mister know it all... So why is it that when I called several insurance brokers they said they wouldnt even quote me (yes they wouldnt even give me the time of day) for any motorcycle since I am under 21. I can barely find insurance for a CBR 300.

May be a noob question but you don’t have a quick shift, so how were you shifting without the clutch?
thats what i was wondering
@@nousername4402 the answer is yes. I’ve been doing it now ever since i watched the video.
@@flowtrap1168 yeah I figured it out also, when I do it though the bike jerks pretty roughly though so I don't know why it's not as smooth for me
@@nousername4402 slightly release the throttle as you’re shifting up as well. Smooth as butter.
@@flowtrap1168 oh okay yeah I thought I had to go fully off the throttle before I could come back on it that's probably why it bucked like a bull
@@HunnaRides ok thanks. Do you think the R6 is a good beginner bike? And the bike color you picked is nice.
Holy shit that’s in cypress! No joke right next to my house in longwood
Enjoyed watching this video 👍💯🔥
Getting mine in August (work bonus ftw)!! Definitely gonna hold out for the matte grey even if I gotta go 500 miles to find the right deal. I see them all over Cycle Trader for low-$9k’s. Beautiful bike and cool channel dude!
I wanted the MATTE grey but too many people have them. I’ve never seen someone else with my paint scheme in person👍🏼
@@HunnaRides Understandable but I live in a small town and I've never even seen a new R6 of any color riding around here yet. The white and silver looks great too though (only one I dont really like is the blue).
MegaTechpc I’ll sell you my 18 R6 Matte grey for $8500 shipped
Planning on upgrading my R3 for the 2018 R6, What's your monthly payment on it? Plus insurance? If you don't mind me asking
Not gonna put my financial business out there but insurance is only $55 for liability and I think I was quoted like $170 for full coverage. Yamaha tends to not require full coverage even tho you’re financing. But monthly payments for the bike are pretty steep as I’m only 19 and interest was high.
@@HunnaRides Thanks, I would get full coverage for an R6 though. I'm definitely gonna go for it soon I be seeing them for 9k almost new.
U ever regret not getting the r1? Man I cant decide. Wish I could get both.
How come your R6 got an Analog tac?? i thought they went full digital on those things?
Only the R1 and R3, personally I like it.
Hunna Rides Same I like analog tachometers better than digital
Love this video my brother. I’ve been looking for vids on the 18 R6 because I have the grey one you was talking bout. Would love to see ur upgrades on it if u get some to see how it turns out.
Erick Duncan post any vids, social handles ? Would love to keep up
Congrats, man...was one of the last ones before they stopped the production
I Love the R6! You live in Houston!? I do too, I live 8n South Houston👍
North side 💪🏼💪🏼
@@HunnaRides Nice to meet you man!! 👍
I have only small cc bike riding experience like 150,200 cc. And I am planning buy Yamaha R6 2019 version. What do you suggest me?
Are you talking about dirt bikes and such?
Nice bike! I miss my r6, though I'm not to jealous of Houston ;) my in laws live there. I would miss my mountain dual sport riding!
I thought about getting the R6, I had an 08 CBR.. with a toce best sounding 600 ever. Ending up buying a s1000rr last week. Thought about the R6...then I remembered the cbr did everything better besides corners imo
Got a question for you! I'm going get a motorcycle should I start with the r3 or r6?
Depends on your skill level
@@HunnaRides it's been years since I've driven a bike. I just dont want to out grow the R3 to fast
If you’ve been on a street bike before for a decent amount of time then the r6 might be a good fit. Don’t forget there’s other options like an FZ-07 or a ninja 650 which may suit you well also.👍🏼
@@HunnaRides thank you
R1 bro. R3 and R6 are too big for a new rider. Start with the R1 then progress from there.
I was wondering if a stabilizer is necessary on a newer tech bike like the 2018 R6. Do you get speed wobble?
I have, but I’ve learned the bike so I know what kind of bumps cause it so I k ow how to counter act the speed wobbles. But definitely possible no doubt.
I see, I’ve been debating which 600cc class bike to upgrade to from an R3, and I’m torn between a used gsxr or a new r6 mainly because of the price. Lol Anyway, thanks for the feedback bro! Subscribed!
Hunna Rides oh and yeehaw my Texas fellow, from Dallas lol
@@Sam1000RR gsxr is 10x more comfortable! both gorgeous bikes tho.
Lol walking into the store and saying fuck it r6 please
It sounds so good!
I currently have a Ninja 400. Next bike is either an R6 or Kawasaki ZX-6R
Then 636’s pretty fast for sure
For me and my body type and how I ride, I’ve had 0 issues on the r6 as far as being comfortable. I’ve ridden for hours and hours and hours straight, 5 hour road trip. Ass starts to hurt a bit but that’s expected. Other than that I’m comfortable. I’ve never had true seat time on a 636 but I’ve heard they’re the more comfortable of the 600cc bunch. Where as the R6 is more race inspired.
Do you think with 4k down i could be able to get one??? Im 18 years old! Planning on getting one later this year!
depends if you have any credit history or not, if not then you'll need a co-signer
David M. I dont have a credit score yet but i have a credit card, i do need a credit score right?
If u have a credit card for 5 months then you have some sort of credit history and credit score. It’s best to finance something of value like I’m financing a $2000 MacBook Pro from Apple which helped me a lot. Im 19 and didn’t need a co signer and my downpayment was way less.
Hunna Rides do you mind asking how much your payments comeout???! Btw love your content thanks for replying
how??? clutchless shifting? did u install quick shifter or not?
Nope, u can clutchless shift on any bike
Nice bike bro!!!
Nice bike! But there are plenty of videos on RUclips of hellcats and zl1s walking r6s
I’ve never lost to a hellcat or ZL1 or Z06, it’s about the rider.
How did I get approved? Literally I have no idea.
7 traction modes, that's fucking awesome Haha
Yezzir
hey i live in Cypress too and was looking to finance my first motorcycle. Is there anyway i can contact you privately and get some advice?
Hmu on Instagram hunna_rides
She's a beauty 😍
2:15 Why not lane splitting?
Because when I’m In the middle of talking in a video there’s no need to lane split
Love the content!
Thanks!!!
No problem and I believe in one of your vids you said you were 19yrs?! If you don’t mind me asking if true man your street skills are fxxxx phenomenal you earned me my brother my dad and best friend respect and loyalty to the channel love it
Oh shit u live in Houston. I hope to see you riding some day lol
Shhhhh
Shhhhh
Homie was feeling that bike a lil too much
Did you pay cash for it with that mark down price?
Nope, financing
I was told to break in my bike the first 500 miles then go crazy.
What was the last place you stopped at?
Do you live in cypress? We should go ride bro
If u see me pull up👍🏼
I'm planning to get the same bike but the seat height is too high for my height. I'm 5'7 and tiptoeing like a motherfather.
Yeah I’m 6’0, I just put on a taller tire, the Q4 and I’m tip toeing bad now
Hey what's that on the key ..is it a key chain I just got an exact one and it has that
Just a simple key chain??
Yeah just a key chain so I don’t lose my key lmfao
Yeah just a key chain so I don’t lose my key lmfao
Clutchless shifting without a quick shifter??? How???
You haven't been riding long have you lol
Michael Oud 😂
You just need to barely roll off the throttle so there’s hardly any load on the gears in the trans, and it’ll slip into the next gear when you toe the shifter. It’s hard to get the timing right.
yooooo i used to stay by that area lol i stay clear now, them jv's are tuff!
I’m looking at a 06 Yamaha r6
That was my first 600
I’m also looking at a 08 gsxr 600 I can’t decide
Get the r6! You’ll be very very happy with it!!
I think you are right. I’m gonna go full Yamaha.
Oh god I just realized I’m going from a ninja 250 to a Yamaha r6 with a power commander tune on it
Nice R6
Preciate it!!
so we're going for the hard break-in I see.. haha, ride safe man!
Crazy how cheap these bikes are in US, when in Europe it costs 16.5k+
great vid !!!
Thanks for the support!!!❤️
Is it good. Uh no it's fuckin incredible
Facts
How much did you get it dear?
5:24 Now this my friends is why I cant find insurance on a super sport.
Hahaha makes sense!
that’s a whole bunch of bs. that’s why there is insurance in the first place. to cover damages and body injuries in case of an accident. every motor vehicle can be insured.
regardless of the vehicles capable speed.
@@Joanchovyy Oh ya mister know it all... So why is it that when I called several insurance brokers they said they wouldnt even quote me (yes they wouldnt even give me the time of day) for any motorcycle since I am under 21. I can barely find insurance for a CBR 300.
You license is f@$ked if you can't get insured on a 600🤣🤣
How do I lock the passenger helmet under the seat?
No clue😭
Since when are you riding? you're good
I’ve been riding for 2 years but I’ve put about 50,000 miles on the road👍🏼
@@HunnaRides Damn!!!!!! well I'm kinda a beginner but was thinking to get r6 for my 1st bike.. I know it might not be a good idea but really wanna get r6.. love those
I own a 2019 😛 they are great bikes, I hit 160 mph on it
160, really?
you are sooo cool
@@zixxrJ yeah there was light traffic, hov lane was clear. 160 is max speed i think for r6
@@jorgeevii4800 not as cool as your subie and vape 😔
TaurenTLT dopeeee
I was searching rainboe 6 siege r6 for short and it brought this up
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bought cash or payments?
Payments, I don’t got that kind of cash laying around!!
Hunna Rides is there interest on it? Thinking about getting a bike soon so didn’t know what’s the best route.
DailYxDosE there’s always interest, just depends how good your credit is. Cash is always the best option.
Hunna Rides you right lol. How’s insurance on it?
Used to ride gxs 1400, twice torque of this 61nm yamaha at 124nm
I would do the same thing congratulations man
Thank ya sir
What dealership did you go to in Houston
Team mancusco powersports southwest. My man Daniel got me the bike.
I was there last week. Beaumont tx here
Could a beginner start out on this bike?
I would highly not recommend it. At the same time I know people that have started on 1000’s. All depends on your past experience with 2 wheeled vehicles. I started out on dirt bikes from when I was younger so I gained that hand eye coordination from a young age which aided me. I have other friends that started on a 2018 ninja 400 and totaled it the first day.
Gp for it just respect the bike! Youll be perfectly fine below 10k rpm
Brand new... drives it hella fast
Pushing red line in 2nd with 18 miles on it😂
I got my first sport bike a couple days ago new r6, but I noticed it has a little kick when I shift from neutral into first... is this normal??
Yes, all Bikes regardless of CC will kick a little when changing from neutral to first, think of it as a reassuring clunk so you know it's ready to go.
What happened to the r6
Crashed :(
Nice AustinRecing
people that say 1000s are better are ignorant af. they’re just faster in straights if you want top speed. otherwise, you can have way more fun on a 600.
Shift the gears way more on a 600, and any route or track course that is technical, the 600’s are too good👍🏼

Yea that’s a nice bike . Compared it to the new CBR i rather get this r6
I have a video coming out within the next few days of me racing a cbr600rr. They’re slowwww
Is this bike good for someone who tall and with long legs?
This is the bike to get!
Hunna Rides really? Can you drive it like a normal bike? How far do you lend down on it comfortably?.
