In tennis more u have umpires where power goes to the head like this umpire who knows it can cause trouble but wants the power. This is the only case in both sports where the umpire was really penalised heavily

1989年迄は男子団体戦は3人の選手が3回ずつ試合をして先に5勝した方が勝つ方式だったんだよな。この方式だと番狂わせが殆ど起こらないんだけど。

I don't think the issue was the toss itself, but rather placing his racket below the table surface before the toss.

It was legal serve. Umpire deserved be thrown out. Spoiling the game cos serve looks weird he cant even see hand from his angle
