    This is by far my favorite pattern for this yarn! It’s the perfect size, and the use of a smaller hook makes them a bit more sturdy. I especially like that they are left single! It saves time and money! To me, the double ones are overkill and cumbersome to use. Thanks so much for taking the time to share this with us! ❤

    I think your scrubby video is the one I can follow the best.
    One sided, short and sweet, and I can come back to time and time again, which I need to. Maybe if I make enough in a row I’ll remember the pattern without checking. I am trying to make a bunch for family members.

    Excellent tutorial! Really easy to follow with useful tips. Short, sweet, but full of information. And thank you for not having music playing in the background!

    Thank you for a scrubbie I don’t have to make two sides and join. Super easy and I am an old person who hasn’t crocheted for awhile. I commend you for your very precise instructions and keeping it simple. Just what I needed. Keep it up.

    I love this pattern and it’s so crazy easy. I am using a magic circle to keep the middle from being so big. After weaving in the ends I’m carefully burning the end of the thread. It helps keep it from unraveling over time. I smoosh it flat with the lighter. Keeps its from unraveling too

    • @DesertBlossomCrafts

      I’m not the biggest fan of a magic circle. I think this was one of the best scrubby videos I’ve used to make a scrubby.
      But I may try burning the end. Can I use a match?

    I have a bigger hole in the first circle, can't seem to get it as tight as your scrubbies, but they are fun to make, I guess they don't have to be perfect.

    Does the scrubbiest actually work well for dishes and/or showering with? Can anyone describe how useful these are?

    • @DesertBlossomCrafts
      @DesertBlossomCrafts  Месяц назад +1

      These scrubbies are best for dishes! The yarn has a rough, abrasive feel, so I definitely wouldn’t shower with them. But great for cleaning!

    • @familytube9468
      @familytube9468 15 дней назад

      Love this pattern... Been using some for about a year that we made. They work great on dishes and nonstick cookware... I throw them in the dishwasher a few times a week and they never smell moldy. Love them!
      Tried using it, gently, on my face and it was too abrasive. But I have really sensitive skin. Haven't tried them in the shower, but on my sensitive skin, I think I'd rather use a cotton yarn for shower scrubbies. This pattern works great for cotton ones too :)

    Anyone know of a lefty version of this video for beginners? 😅

  • @someone.fromsomewhere.
    @someone.fromsomewhere. Год назад +1

    I know I’m a bit late to the video but if there is anyone who sees this that could help, I don’t know if my scrubbies are big enough they are really small, the distance from one end to the other is only 2 and 1/2 inches, it’s really tiny and I don’t think they will sell being the size that they are, I’m using the same yarn and a 6mm hook but it isn’t as big as hers?

    • @DesertBlossomCrafts
      @DesertBlossomCrafts  Год назад

      Hi! Mine were 3”, so your tension is probably just a bit tighter than mine. You could go up a hook size to help with this if you’d like!

    • @seaglasssparkles6910
      @seaglasssparkles6910 9 месяцев назад +1

      Do your hooks come in letter sizes, too? I think I’ve been using an I hook 5.5 mm.

    Do you have to block this kind of material? I tend to crochet tightly and mine is kinda trying to curl.. Any suggestions? I have finished it so I am asking because I want to make some more with less curling action. LOL

    • @DesertBlossomCrafts
      @DesertBlossomCrafts  2 года назад

      Hmm that's weird. I wouldn't have expected this material to curl at all because it is so stiff! You could definitely try blocking, or maybe go up a hook size since you crochet tightly.

    • @cynthiabourgeois5254
